Favorite Psalms

When scripture says "hills" it is talking of a place of worship, and I love that about this psalm, but when I am in the mountains, I think of God and this psalm 121.

where does my help come from?

the Maker of heaven and earth.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

This isn't to start a big discussion on the Trinity but just something kinda fun to stretch one's mind. The doctrine of the Trinity is developed in all its fullness in the New Testament. But there are strong indications of it in the Old Testament also, even though it is not as fully developed. BB Warfield said of the doctrine of the Trinity in the Old Testament, that it is like objects in a darkened room, which emerge and turn out to have been there all the time, as the light of the New Testament is shed upon them.
So, too, with Psalm 2; it needs to be read in the light of the New Testament.

Grammatically, I would say Christ speaks all of it, and quotes the Father in vv.6-9.

So much of the Psalms and the Old Testament is clearly Messianic in character!

I love the book of Psalms and have too many verses I love. So, don't know which one to begin with. The first Psalm I memorized and recited in Sunday school was Ps. 23:1-6, then, Ps. 139:1-24, and then, Ps. 121:1-, so on and so forth. I love all of them.

The book of Psalm is very uplifting for me personally and I love reading it.

PS : Ms sanglina: So how many Psalms do you think you have memorized?
