How Many Pills Do You Take In a Day?

Thankfully I don't take anything as much as I can help it. In the case of pain or soreness I will pop some ibuprofen, but that's pretty rare.

I mix protein supps from The Vitamin Shoppe ("Is this where Robin Hood gotteth his gingko?"), because I've found the prices and sales at TVS to be more consistent than the prices at GNC. (GNC's only really good sale is their summer BOGO-half-off, and it's not that much cheaper than TVS when they're on sale.)

I also take...

--A men's multivitamin! (because multivitamin)
--A B-1000 super complex time release (because middle schoolers)
--Krill oil (because heart attacks)
--Vitamin C, 500mg (because muscle repair)
--Chromium pinicolate (because fat metabolism)
--Claritin (because allergies)

Let's see... I take 7 pills every day, and inject myself with insulin 4 times a day. And if I need something for allergies or whatever, I take more.



Here's why. Ten years ago I got into a really bad car accident. I broke 11 bones and I have some icky nerve damage. I take 4 pills every day (non pain pills) to help with the damaged nerves. Because I broke my face I damaged a cranial nerve, and if that nerve isn't controlled or "slowed down", I am in extreme facial pain.


I don't mind taking the pills. I wish I didn't have to, but I'm very glad I have insurance. Without it I would be in a lot of pain, not to mention my need for insulin. Life would be far more complex without it.



And! I take vitamins. A women's multi vitamin (which I HIGHLY recommend if you're between 16 and 55 because you need the extra folic acid for healthy babies), extra B-12 and extra D.
