I would not be pleased if you got baptised to please me....I believe we are baptised into Christ for the remission of sins.....according to the pronise Acts 2:38-39
the probem is, Your faith is in the man who baptised you.

Our faith is in God. Who baptized us into Christ.

Your faith is flawed on a flawed human. My faith is pure on the creator of the universe who saved me and adopted me into his family.

You have a pastor (or whatever you call him)

I have an Abba Father.

this makes no sense.

There is no such thing as faith that does not produce works. It is impossible. You do not trust someone, then ignore everything they say.
One problem that he has is the inability to understand that it is faith alone that saves, and at the same time genuine faith will produce fruit...AN apple tree is an apple tree from the moment it springs to life from a seed, yet it takes growth and maturity before it begins to bear fruit....Same with Abraham...he had faith long before he had circumcision and the Abram who was called out of Ur by FAITH is not the same immature man who as Abraham offered Isaac generations later...Abraham went through a growth and maturity process which led to the Great man of faith we so often see in Abraham...

you make claims against what the word teaches and hold to what your doctrine of man teaches...you reject water baptism as an ordinance of God which Christ himself commanded....

James.

Yes, and as I proved. Faith which does not produce works is dead, Non existant. zero zip nada.

Your not saved if you do not have works.

Also eph 2: 8-10. Saved by grace apart from works. For we (those saved by faith) are his workmanship CREATED for good works.

we are not created BECAUSE of works. we are created FOR WORKS.

You continually oppose the word of God with your personal comments ...you choose to have faith alone good for you scripture says it is a dead faith....

I do not teach against water baptism. I preach for it.

I preach against water regeneration. which is not of God.

Not of works. lest anyone should boast.

Not of works which we have done, HE SAVED US. by the work of God.

Stop trying to earn a gift. And give your life to God. For only HE CAN SAVE YOU. your totally incapable of saving yourself. If you could. Jesus would not have endured the cross.

Yeah he seems to do that quite a bit and on a regular basis....and then when called out for it, twists what was said, adds to what was said and or changes what was said...It amazes me how many men will follow their father the devil, add to, twist and or accuse us of saying something that we have not said.......

People who teach salvation based entirely on faith dia grace have never said to...

1. Not be immersed as it is the picture of the resurrection of Jesus and our public testimony and association with Jesus
2. Not to do biblical works as a tree is known by the fruit that is bears and even an apple tree is an apple tree for two to three years before it bears a piece or two of fruit..it takes time and growth to bear fruit and this too they fail to understand for sure.....

Yet they will flat out lie and accuse us of saying to not be immersed and or that we teach that we should not do works or that a saved child of God will not have any works.......Crazy for sure.....!

Another good point for sure.........! Faith saves and once saved...faith produces fruit not for salvation, but in light of salvation....and really the whole argument of works is moot as we can do nothing without Jesus as it is JESUS that is doing the works dia us as a living sacrifice....!

This whole comment just goes to prove you have no idea what faith is.

If someone tells you to do something, and you do not trust them (faith) you will not do what they ask. (unless your forced)

If you trust them, No one will have to tell you to do anything, or force you, you will do it.

God will not force you to do anything, so if you do not trust him, Your not going to do anything, or if you do, you will do it for a reason which does not glorify God but self. If you do trust him (like abraham, Paul, And all the other great men of faith) no one will have to force you to do it, You will do it, no questions asked.

We are saved by faith, as Paul said, NOT OF WORKS. lest any one should boast (be proud, or take credit) Those saved, will do the work God created them to do (eph 2: 10), Those not saved, will either not do work, or do them, but not the way God said, Like say baptism. You can boast of your baptism, thus if baptism is required for salvation. You are saved by works, s you can boast.

Eph 2: 8-10 proves water baptism is not essential. Because you can boast, or take credit, for earning the gift of God.

My faith is not in good works.... it is in Christ....and they don't just kinda happen ...I must do them...
where does the scripture say good works just kinda happen?

John 15 King James Version (KJV)
15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

1 Timothy 6:17-19King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
[SUP]18 [/SUP]That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

[SUP]19 [/SUP]Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

I don't see anything kinda happening....I see us being told to do good...

according to Gods mercy. If you work for it (by doing the work of baptism) it is not by mercy, but a reward for work done, You earned your right by your works of righteousness.

Next? or can you not read?

In the greek, the gift of the HS is ONLY given to those who repented. The baptism is BECAUSE they had recieved remission of sin. Language does not support your faulty interpretation.

It is also proven by what followed.. "All who believed were baptized) the saving came first, the baptism followed. They trusted peters word (the gospel) were saved, and because they had faith, they were baptized. They were not saved AFTER they were baptized. before!

amen and amen. I do them, and still give credit to God, because I do not even deserve the opportunity to do them. He does them, and demands he is saved because of them, he is saving himself. Like he could ever do that!

Amen and I agree for sure.....the simple truth that faith saves the believer.......It pleased God by the preaching of the cross to save them that BELIEVE..!<-----notice that he does not add works and or baptism in the equation as many will in error do....makes me think of the Pharisees.....they went about trying to establish their own righteousness b works and adherence to the law.....Jesus called them white washed coffins filled with the bones of dead men and equated the disciples that they would encompass land and sea to make to a two-fold child of hell....

amen, we have alot of white washed coffins and dead bones today who think they will make it to heaven based on what they have done, but will get a rude awakening when they find out their works were for naught, That is why the pharisees were so angry, That is what Christ told them all their works (circumcision, sacrifices, sabaath etc etc) were worth, because they trusted their works, Not God.
