felt embarrassed... no I didn't talk to him and I'm glad I didn't...and no I won't say who....

All right, I'll go ahead and name names because neither person is here anymore.
I've been on CC since 2009, and early on, I had a severe crush on a user named Matthew (yes, that was his username.) The funny thing is, I had a crush on him, he didn't have a crush on me; I accepted that it would never turn into anything, and then something changed, but by then... I had come to see him as a friend. And so, it just never went anywhere and we lost touch.
The other user I had an attraction to, as in, I would have loved to have met him, was Nuke Pooch. We talked a few times and I did tell him I wish we could see how we got along in person. But he didn't feel the same way, and we too lost touch along the way.
I'm sure the anticipation is high as to who my next victim, er, object of affection may be... but truthfully I don't get crushes too often and I'm at a point now where it would take a long time and would probably have to involve meeting in person first.

I haven't spoken with Nuke in many years. He was an awesome, God-fearing guy, had a lot of compassion towards people, and had one of the best senses of humor I've ever encountered.
Even on my worst days, his posts here always made me laugh.

You know I keep offering to help you with this whole stalking thing.
You've got to stop wearing bells when sneaking up on people. It really ruins the surprise. And stop doing it in broad daylight. And those shoes are too bright (though they are awesome).
You've gotta dress not to impress. Wear a hat made of leaves, blend in with your surroundings - that kind of thing.

He's right. I've seen many marriages come out of relationships that began in CC, and most of them were on different continents... A few couples I can think of, one was in Canada, the other in Australia, one in the US and one in Australia, One in Canada and the other in New Zealand, One in Australia and the other in England, one in Canada and the other in Albania..... It's amazing how little distance matters when you just find the right person.
