Ah see now we're getting somewhere. Do you think it's more effective to show those who feel the need to get an abortion love? To offer them help in their our of need? To show them the gift that is inside them? Or to stand in a large group, shouting about how they're murdering children? It all comes back to free will and condemnation, really. The greater testimony of God's work would be for those who put it up to decide of their own free will to take it down. Not for a group of christians to demand it be done, or to vandalize it. Also, fun fact, the statue has not even been agreed to be put up. They are merely building it in HOPES that it will be put there. They still haven't settled the lawsuit brought against the 10 Commandments monument. So they can't even approve it yet. There is still time for it not to go through. So, we could be praying that the hearts of these men are softened and redeemed through their wickedness as we speak, see? We can't limit god. We know where the true power is. So maybe the prayer we ought all to have on our hearts is how to combat this on a spiritual plane. We know God turns all things to good. For all we know, he may even allow this to be built to show that the reach of Satanic and Occult practice has now come full on out of the darkness in our country. This may just be the little "sign" some people need to wake up and smell the Book of Revelations, you know? I know it's hard to imagine. In short, I'd just hate to see mighty men and women of God to be afraid or even provoked to anger over this act which, if anything, shows the childishness of that faith. Lol I'm reminded of the Men's movement directly following the "burning bra" era of feminism. It's just a sad, public "....Oh, yeah? Well... we can do it too so *playground hand gestures*". This act is encouraging to me. Why? Because if tomorrow, the tribulation started, and every monument, church, or place of worship were demolished, I would STILL praise him and be filled with His Holy Spirit.
*selah*
Our God is too powerful to depend on symbols and Idols or even buildings to be praised in. But you know who isn't? Satan.. he needs these things. He needs deception, he needs idols, HE needs symbols. And I laugh in his face for it. Lol. He just wants to be God soooo badly. The poor, miserable creature that he is. So, as for me, I will continue to praise God and watch His will be done. Statue, or no statue.
Bless you sister. I think this discussion has been an eye opener for us all. And I pray that we each meditate on his word and will for our actions and reactions in these matters.
