you really need to get over yourself

Ember, I am not sure you know what caring is, you just shoot from the hip. You said you were unique, and i think you are, uniquely blind to your own perspective. What I share is simple normal life emotional reactions. You want to see the enemy all over the place in dis-functional people who shoot their mouths off. If you want to make a difference, you actually have to empathise and understand who they are. It is called getting alongside.

Now I know what you are trying to do, but the problem is I just share as the Lord inspires me. I would have been sensitive to your digs years ago, but I know the style from years of using it myself. You seriously want to contribute, and feel you can say this or that, and it is so right.

I on the other hand woke this morning in fear, wondering why the peace of the Lord had left me. I prayed, I put in place praise, uplifting my spirit and repented of my lack of fellowship with the Lord, and not exercising spiritual authority.
The Lord restored my heart, but I know I can loose this very easily, because I fail too often, and do not honour as I should.

Even Moses lost it, by striking the rock, but I am not saying I am like Moses, but I know one has to be careful. So if I have caused you a problem, I apologise, but I just share as it appears to me. I hope and pray it is a blessing, it has been for me, though I know the meaning is also harsh for some, but this is spiritual warfare in a real sense.

Dear reader, it sounds like saying this is spiritual warfare is over playing it. Just read what is being said, how disfunctional some are, strident, condemning, judgemental, etc. this is not an easy place to be.

I am not suprised some find church difficult, because the fruit of this interaction is not what you might expect from people who claim to be ministers. Makes you wonder what the bible college was like, put down training incorperated rather than building up school.

Funny...I don't remember booking a counselling session with you Pete?

And I also did not book a fortune telling session with you so perhaps you might stop trying to figure me out

I understand your very carefully laid out offerings....I just do not find a use for them

You insult just about everyone here and then go on to tell us how loving and kind we should be

Is the telly broken?

I am not trying to figure you out, you are picking a fight, and continually wanting to pick fights with lots of people.
You accuse me of insulting you. How have I insulted you? You appear to tell me I am wrong, that I have nothing to offer, and that pointing to love and Jesus is somehow from the past.

Please oh wise teacher, illuminate this humble follower, I am all ears.

I suspect like many combatents of years gone by, empty words with no content. It is a useless strategy when facing the Lords truths, but it attacks the person and not the content. So please tell me my insults, if you can remember them.

That was not at all condescending, and therefore making this empty words

You insult just about everyone here and then go on to tell us how loving and kind we should be

Calling someone from the pit is not loving or kind, especially if it is not true. Now there are those who are heretics, who I happily would call heretics and can explain why I do so, and where their failure is.

This is not a popularity competition, but spiritual authority and walking with the Lord. But maybe that also is not your approach, because finding favour with the Lord is not on top of your list. Strange that because that is the first commandment.

That was not at all condescending, and therefore making this empty words

I dont quite get this. Are you saying I am being condescending or I am not? I know I am but then sarcasm kind of is my history, and this is getting a little rediculous. In these kind of conversations people mean very different things and are talented to get particular reactions etc. But you find out a lot by pushing the envelope.

It also comes with this territory. Most is not as it seems, but you need to reach out to people, because many come here with real needs and a great deal of confusion, which blows up in stupid "you are from the pit" type positions....

Sorry guys, I just realised something. I lay out a very careful offering as if it is preplanned.

The problem is none is preplanned or careful. I just write from the top of my head as the Holy Spirit leads.

Now if I am accused of not following His leading please show me where. If what I share is the Lords love and his redemption through Jesus, how as deciples we should walk in faith and love, baptised by the Holy Spirit you may begin to realise the error people have got into. If any man preaches the word and yet a believer calls them wrong, they are deceived.
I would never call anyone wrong who preaches and exalts Jesus.

But some have been led by their emotions, where a conviction comes upon them, and rather than dismissing it they give in to the feeling. But feelings come for any reason and are no guide to reality. With this kind of leading the church would have died long ago, because we are merely earthen vessels with a precious cargo.

So beware of critical spirit and do not give in to it, else wickedness will take your soul and bitterness will be your inheritence.

Remember also the Lord gives a good testimony, makes things plain, that is walking in the light.

Beware the enemy. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 Are you behaving like a roaring lion, trying to devour someone, or as someone who wishes humbly to learn and support expression of love and care?

Are you calling me a devil, a lion, a witch or a wardrobe?

By your fruit you shall know them. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Gal 5:22-23

This point is lost on me.

I am sorry, people have to choose to forgive, it is not a command. Because you are forgiven, because you are a sinner, you bend the knee and repent and ask for healing.

Oh my you were doing really well with the insults until you slipped up on this one and now, I have to show you some love.

You state it is not a command to forgive!? The Bible refutes you completely and soundly.

Matt 18.21-35:
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” [SUP]22 [/SUP]Jesus *said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

[SUP]23 [/SUP]“For this reason the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves. [SUP]24 [/SUP]When he had begun to settle them, one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him. [SUP]25 [/SUP]But since he did not have the means to repay, his lord commanded him to be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment to be made. [SUP]26 [/SUP]So the slave fell to the ground and prostrated himself before him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.’ [SUP]27 [/SUP]And the lord of that slave felt compassion and released him and forgave him the debt. [SUP]28 [/SUP]But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii; and he seized him and began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay back what you owe.’ [SUP]29 [/SUP]So his fellow slave fell to the ground and began to plead with him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you.’ [SUP]30 [/SUP]But he was unwilling and went and threw him in prison until he should pay back what was owed. [SUP]31 [/SUP]So when his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and came and reported to their lord all that had happened. [SUP]32 [/SUP]Then summoning him, his lord *said to him, ‘You wicked slave, I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. [SUP]33 [/SUP]Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow slave, in the same way that I had mercy on you?’ [SUP]34 [/SUP]And his lord, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he should repay all that was owed him. [SUP]35 [/SUP]My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.”

I do not believe you are walking in the spirit in your words or attitude. There is no joke on me, this is all tragic, very very sad and the result of sin and emotional devistation. Do not think because you have a "ministry" you have arrived. I am not the "church" or self righteous. But emotionally beating someone up is simply wrong and not from the Lord.
I am a sinner saved by grace through faith, a broken man who weeps at the sin in myself and others. It is not some gladitorial fight, with badges of honour won on the way. There are too many "ministers" who lived like this only to become broken lost people, wondering where it went wrong. But for you being right matters more than love. This speaks of where you are coming from and it is pride, not the Spirit.

Seeing you have zero udnerstanding of what the Bible says on forgiveness and commands you to forgive, I do not even need to address anymore of your comments. You need a better understanding.

The largest insult you have made is telling people that forgiveness is not commanded in the Bible.

So I guess what Jesus did on the cross does not matter much to you huh?

Odd. What Jesus says is in the Lords prayer, "Forgive us as we forgive those who sin against us."
In the parable you quote, the servant does not forgive a small sin, so why should his ruler forgive the greater debt.

"If you do not forgive others their sins, the Father will not forgive your sins" Matt 6:15

Now maybe the difference between pointing out the consequences of behaviour and being commanded to do something is the point.

Now you say this is an insult. Who am I insulting, I am just telling what the bible says. Forgiveness is a choice, it is not a sin, but because we need to be forgiven who are we to not forgive. A friend of mine was very upset with the an insult his son had done. He would not forgive him, and in his words he would rather go to hell than forgive. It took a year, patience, showing love, and finally he repented, and saw the out of proportion his reaction was.

Now as you believe you are commanded to forgive, then you must forgive the insult I have given you.

I did not call you the enemy, but I said behaving like him, is not the Lords intention. You obviously disagree.

I share about the fruit of the spirit which is how you express things in the Spirit and you miss that your expression is not following the fruit of the spirit. Odd that you have no sense of a difference of approach.

Now for you to have someone suggest your approach is wrong, is an insult. You are telling someone about their pride issues while having ones yourself. Whatever ministry you are in, I am glad I am not on the receiving end.

I would suggest you fail to comprehend basic theology or the bible.

After the parable Peter asks Jesus how many times should you forgive the person sinning against you. 7 times? No 77 times.

A quick trick in your own justification is to attempt to suggest I have an issue with forgiveness. I do not. I forgive everything you are trying to attack me over. It is just futile and based on your anger that someone stands up to you.
What do you normally do in these situations? Fly into a rage. You must have an anger management issue because you repress all the anger which is bubbling up in you, and you want to project on me.

You admitted you were acting like a porcupine, yet what was the justification? Someone was not showing forgiveness. But they had not sinned against you, you did not need forgiveness.

So your logic is a mess, but I could help. I am just defending someone who has asked for help, is confused, and needs support, but you called demonic, rather than driven by simple pain. I wish you well but I wonder who needs more help, you or micro.

As a side note, I shared the ideas expressed here with a brother, and we both are amazed at how thing progress into name calling, saying demons are involved, evil spirits inspiring people, just because of a few ideas expressed badly.

What is shocking is you claim some leadership and ministry experience. Little wonder so many groups are in trouble.

Pot, meet kettle.

There, did that feel good, Peter? Probably not. I apologize. Skewering you was me, making a point.

Or, in an alternate vein, "There is none righteous, not even one." (Romans 3:10). People say things in the heat of the moment. It happens. The gentleman in question on this thread made the comment that a post I made speaking of the spiritual aspects of counseling rather than, as I had done previously, focused on the professional, indicated I was suddenly "believing in God," and quite honestly, I lost it.

Let me explain. I am a staunch defender of my profession in the context of Christianity, the church, and service through counseling. I am constantly told by people even in my own church that I have too much education and not enough spirituality, which is ludicrous for them to say given they've never seen my counsel but they've certainly seen me defend, contend for, and expound upon my faith in Christ Jesus.

So when someone comes off condescendingly and arrogantly, I can at times be testy, which simply proves I'm human. I try not to go around "passing judgment" on how other relate to the trolls, demons, and just plain crazy ones that join this board, but sometimes I let my emotions get the better of my intellect.

So does everyone else, to greater and lesser extremes. We'd all be a lot better off if we'd let nonsense stuff pass by us without even an acknowledgement. Not only is it better for our own spiritual and mental health, but it drives the other person who was trying to get under our skin crazy -- "ier."

So much to answer but will generally do so. I married my wife in 2000. In 2001 the cheating started. she started leaving me and the children and moving in with other men. Over the last 15 years she has been more gone than here. Despite that I stayed in church. We moved out of state and started over. I stayed in church she stayed the same. I began working in the deliverance ministry evangelizing and a radio show while she was gone. She seen how well it was going and decided she wanted help too. During a season i ministered to her until we came to a point of things she never wante me ti know about. She then stopped. She then wanted me to change churches so she can go back and wasn't embarrassed I did and started in the church I am in now. While starting at a new church I kept my ministry to my self I was still traveling with the group but felt that they would take it as bragging. At the two year mark of my radio show it slipped out at church that I had been doing it. I was so happy of ten thousand views that it just came out. Then from the pulpit one of the pastors said " now if you come in here saying you've been having a radio show for two years we know you're just lying" this cut me. And then I seen why God never gave me the desire to say anything. Within the next few weeks everything came out and the pastor was on board. My wife was still gone. At one time the pastor let slip why he would never let me speak at the church and that was because " some pastors are worried about someone taking over." I continued to minister. My wife found out that if she complained about anything to the pastor it was like she got her way. One year after paying for a plane ticket up Israel she flipped out. She is very greedy and she hates that I spend money to minister. That was her complaint not that I was ministering to women per se. That was a small part. Her greed is what sets her off. She went to the pastor and my pastor asked if what would I do if he asked me not go. I said I would stay then. He asked about a refund on the ticket and I told him it was non refundable and the price was two grand but I didn't care. If he said no I would obey. My wife then made my life a living hell. Like always she would block me in a room and not let me out she would hit yell scream say she's cheating if I go she kept going on for hours then I reacted and screamed back. At that point I was told not to go to Israel. As soon as that happened she was in that pastors ear all the time. All the whole telling me daily she doesnt love me. She hates me wants someone else fantasizes about killing me at one time after come home from drinking ' mind you by now she's a Sunday school teacher' she brought someone in to try to kill me. She password protects her phone and everything. Lies about her wereabouts has people calling her phone and telling me its aman and plainly it was a woman. Wjich she had cheated on me more yhan once with them. And o find out that one she lived with cheating on me got out of prison a day or do before. It was her tgat was most likely calling. I then started texting someone i was with years before. During this whole time I had set my self down from ministry. I knew when to walk away. By the time the pastor said sit down I had been down for a couple months I think. A few months later I was asked to help out on my wife's as class to build Noah's ark. Even in there she couldn't help but be herself to me. I feel sorry for the kids. I shut my mouth though and just kept doing the ark. For months it went on. I finally got enough and walked out. A week later I was texting the same woman and my wife found out. I was called into the pastors office and told to step down. Which was no big deal since I already had. But the big deal with me was why wasn't she? I told pastor what I was going through with her a few times. She has never owned up to anything and I'm sure she lied but since I confessed to my wrongs I am sat down. I have been married 15 years. Besides the first year unless then too she was doing drugs moving out was in prostitution physically violant and do emotionally abusive. Someone said it sounds like I have no friends thats right. I found out that friends sleep with your wife. Everyone of my friends did. I m hurt and tore apart. BUT during all this mess Got used me. My stories of ministry are 100% true. You don't know the half of it. I gotta go. Tear me up all you want. I do not care. Even in my lowest times God can use me.

Well, too many people go by feelings...I feel like this, I feel like that

God knows, my mind has to be satisfied which is one reason I detect wishy washy blithering that has been executed with the intent to give a one two punch...It has no effect or purpose other then to attempt to be seen as superior

We are to love God with our minds...not just our hearts...so it seems to me our intellect, our thoughts our concepts and whatever else goes on between the ears is well able to appreciate and adore God as the only One who is worthy of those things

For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[SUP]c[/SUP] 14The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16for,“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”[SUP]d[/SUP]

But we have the mind of Christ. I Corinthians 2

Pot, meet kettle.

I have missed the point you are making because I feel fine. Someone pointed out the creation of a group, us and them, and us are the blessed, the right, and them, are the enemy and obviously wrong.

What drives me is spotting pain, and trying to provide support. It is easy to be self righteous, and to condemn people but if they are being honest, telling you how they are feeling and reacting, that is the first step to real resolution.

Does the good samaritan go and beat up the man found on the road beaten up by robbers?

What is illuminating to me, is when people wade in to some vulnerable, if you point out the gifts of the Spirit and His approach, the question is, what is the point?

I hope you understand. Those who are healthy, need to think who they are dealing with and what are their needs first before trying to correct some minor issues.

So much to answer

In the end I feel for you. My friend and brother, this is not the place for understanding, because we are too far apart and this is more a discussion area. You do not have to justify yourself, or what you do, or how righteous or loving you are.

You need to find that place of peace where you know the next steps to take. Whatever you are looking for here, it should be in friendships established in your church and community with people you love.

Your problem is moving communities to hide a history. You need to face that history and work with it as Jesus does with you.

I will pray for you, that you find the balance you need, God bless Peter

I am not trying to hide my history that needs worked on. That u am open about. The only thing I have chose to hide is my identity, details of cases that are easily researched that will point to my identity or identity of those I have ministered to and wording and terminology I have used over and over again throughout the years that quickly identify me.

The only thing I am trying to hide ofmy history are identifying phrases or researchable information that will point to who I am. As far as my history and my shortcomings I have been open in the hopes of getting help without further compromising my integrity.
