So, I was just thinking, I'm the kind of person who is constantly trying to grow and learn and better myself. There have been many times that I was doing something that wasn't the best for someone else or was hurting them, without even realizing it. For example: my best friend had to pull me aside at one point in our friendship to let me know that my sarcastic joking really hurt her feelings. I was completely unaware that the things I was joking about and thought were funny to us both, actually hurt her. So communicating that to me gave me a chance to correct the problem and help our relationship grow and strengthen. Hasn't been a problem since.
Maybe an explanation or conversation would be a good idea in order to give the other person an opportunity to choose whether or not it's something they want to work on. I know that I'm not the biggest fan of someone dismissing me from their life because of something I was unaware was hurtful or damaging and not giving me the chance to explain or work on it.

Obviously its it's different if they know and just don't care and don't do anything about it, or if it's something they have no control over. But like Cee said, I don't think we should be so quick to throw away relationships and people. Gotta give people a chance. :)

Maybe it's the hot sauce.
Maybe...

I guess I've noticed a reoccurring pattern happening in my interactions with people. One moment, I'm explaining how I support the idea of cannibalism, next moment, I'm covering them in hot sauce, salt and pepper. Then, bam! I never hear from then again.

I swear I'm always the one doing the chasing...

Where would we be without condiments? There would be a lot less cannibalism, that's for sure!

Question: What SHOULD a woman say when she is seeing a man and can tell that he is becoming very attached while she herself is still making up her mind about him?
Answer: "SOS. Come and get me."

;)

Aww... I'm really sorry to hear about the way that girl treated you, Roh. And no worries about wondering if I had repeated myself... I'm guilty of that quite often :) so it's not a problem at all! :D

I mean, I said... it's not a problem... :D

For what it's worth, I've seen the amazing pictures you've posted in your profile.

And the pictures that are the most amazing are the ones of you in them, because we get to see an inviting, comforting, and very handsome face to go with all the warmth and sincerity that comes through in all your posts. That poor girl doesn't know what she missed!

*hugs*
Kim, thank you a lot for your words of encouragement. :)

*hugs back*

So a peanut butter, honey, and human sandwich? Some people have really strange tastes. But I think I'll be wary should either of you two Aussies tell me that you'd like to have me over for dinner sometime.

You know what's funny? This morning, I had started responding to one of your threads with, 'This is a really good, thought provoking thread, Cinder, I'd imagine we'd get along really well', but because I was running out of time and had to leave for work, I deleted it and left. I meant it in all honesty, I love deep issues and meaningful talk. So in saying this...

How about dinner next Friday night?

:p

Can I join the party if you are inviting cinder for dinner? I can bring a bottle of honey mustard and a custom-made grill which would make humans taste soft and delectable. :p

Please check if cinder is really human. I've heard that she has a hard exterior into which she retreats. She may be a snail...

Please come, I'm sure it would be a unique experience to eat something that is part bear and part philosoraptor. And it answers the question….Who are we having for dinner?

Wait, who's bringing the fava beans and a nice chianti? (Hannibal Lector reference...)

The recent turn this thread has taken sure gives new meaning to the thread title. Especially the "interested" part.

I ugly laughed as I typed each one of these:

"If you're not interested in eating someone, do you owe them an explanation?"
"Stay uneaten until marriage"...
"Why are Christians undermining cannibalistic Christian dating?"
"Looking for other cannibals"...
"Why are so many women attracted to cannibals?"

I think an explanation is a nice thing.
But if it's an individual that keeps persisting for no reason after you told them no a bunch of times then, no explanation needed.
But that whole lingering feeling, that's horrible. lol
