1 Corinthians 15:40 - [There are] also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial [is] one, and the [glory] of the terrestrial [is] another.

trouble with google searches is they often give a slant on a topic that by itself is false..

Deuteronomy 30:4 - If [any] of thine be driven out unto the outmost [parts] of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

Psalms 97:6 - The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

the trouble with using google search results is that they will often give an unbalanced view

Ac 4:9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Ac 4:14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
15 ¶ But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Persecution comes because people are healed, not because they are sick, and true godliness is not having a religious "form" but power.

Amen, it always comes back to Jesus and His work done in and through His people.

Is Poverty a Sign of God’s Disapproval?
GOD told the ancient Israelites: “No one should come to be poor among you.” This was because in the Law that he gave them, there were provisions to care for the poor and even for the releasing of debts. (Deuteronomy 15:1-4, 7-10) Therefore, there should have been no poor people among the Israelites, for God promised to bless them. However, that blessing was dependent on obeying the Law, which the Israelites failed to do.
This did not mean, however, that those who had little in a material way were necessarily disapproved by God, any more than those who had plenty were necessarily blessed by God. Many of God’s faithful servants were materially poor. The prophet Amos was a humble sheep raiser and seasonal laborer. (Amos 1:1; 7:14) In the days of Elijah the prophet, when a famine came upon Israel, Elijah had to depend on the hospitality of a poor widow, whose meager supply of flour and oil were miraculously sustained during the famine. Neither Elijah nor the widow became rich; God provided for just their basic needs.—1 Kings 17:8-16.
Unforeseen occurrences might plunge people into poverty. Accidents and sickness could temporarily or permanently hinder a person from working. And death could leave behind orphans and widows. Even such adverse circumstances are no indication of God’s disapproval. The account of Naomi and Ruth is a heartwarming example of God’s loving care for the needy. Though Naomi and Ruth were left destitute by the death of their husbands, God blessed them and made provision to care for their needs.—Ruth 1:1-6; 2:2-12; 4:13-17.
Clearly, poverty is not an evidence of God’s disapproval. Those who are faithful to God can have confidence in King David’s words: “A young man I used to be, I have also grown old, and yet I have not seen anyone righteous left entirely, nor his offspring looking for bread.”—Psalm 37:25.

Good point...I don't think poverty is a sign of being ungodly but its clearly the promise of Gods blessing that should give us hope for a better situation, even when we have hard times come upon us.

Some more Scriptures from Paul at the end of his life.

"7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair;9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.12 So death is at work in us, but life in you." 2 Cor. 4:-12

"
16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal." 2 Cor. 4:16-18

Afflicted in every way. Paul went through the mill. He was sick, he was beaten, shipwrecked etc etc. HIs outer body was "wasting away" while his inner self was being renewed.

Rather than claiming God's healing and/or blessing, instead he looks to eternity. That is the reality of the Bible. This life is for spreading the gospel, and preparing ourselves for eternity.

Woe to those teachers who do not deal with the truth of these verses!
Same book ...

2Co 9:6 ¶ But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

As far as Paul being "sick" ...funny how they could take things that touched his body and heal others and even cast out demons.....If any of you guys produce that kind of power in your sickness? I might listen to your thoughts on the issue of healing....Besides that the promises of healing are not based on the person of Paul but on the Lord Jesus Christ and His stripes.

thats funny cos i just did a google search of healing scriptures and this link was the same results and the order listed is nearly identical to your list
Healing Scriptures - TLSM - White Paper Bible

Well then! It's obvious that I got it from that source. No big deal. I've had it in my files for a long time, and when asked to provide scriptures regarding healing, I thought the whole bible's complement of healing scriptures would get the point across.

Thanks for doing the work! If I had the link I would have added it.

so how is that any different to me doing a google search on aliens, surely an unbias view would also look at the scriptures where people apparently werent healed, or those that were healed without faith. then weigh them together for a fairer conclusion, by relying on google search a new christian of 1 hour can think he knows more than the disciples themselves did.. this is called a topical search where you pick a subject and find the scripture to fit that preset conclusion. it can be a helpful way to study but it can also lead to many off shoots of christianity, try google searching we are gods or all are saved, your find results that taken by themselves outa context would suggest these pre-supposed ideas to be true, very dangerous

As Jesus healed everyone who came to Him in faith, yet was hindered by those of His own home town who didn't have faith, what do you mean? Are you wanting to change the topic to aliens or gods?

There is nothing dangerous in providing all scriptures that pertain to healing and God's great provision of it for His own. The real danger is in unbelief.

Hebrews 3:12
Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;

well, i have nothing to lose at this point, so a few words...

firstly, you use that verse out of context, in my opinion.

secondly, i'd love your thoughts on this matter...
my daughter's mother-in-law had breast cancer. it runs in her family.

she was told by people at her church that God would heal her if she had enough faith.
she put her trust in God and 'declared' all the right things.
she never wavered from trusting God to make her well...

till the day of her death 18 months after the diagnosis.

would you accuse her of unbelief? say it was her fault?
i am not trying to be contentious, or to rile or offend you.
i simply don't understand how people can be so single minded on this topic.

and it does seem condemnatory toward people like Joyce...
and now our children (hers and mine) doubt God.

Disease is not from God. We are all subject to it, being fallen flesh.

Faith isn't quantitative so much as qualitative. Even a bit of faith has the strength to move mountains right out of our paths. Declaring one's faith for healing is never a bad thing, and GOD IS PLEASED WITH IT, even when HE chooses to relieve a dear child who is suffering by taking her home with Him. That kind of faith teaches us nonetheless to hold on to what we have in Christ Jesus: PRECIOUS PROMISES! Is not God's name JEHOVAH-ROPHI? The Lord Who Heals?

Psalm 103:3
Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;

so God always heals, except when He doesn't?

The sacrifice of Christ and the promise of eternal life is what should give you hope. Not the possibility of worldy gain.

our lives may be wretched, but Christ still gives us grace (unmerited favor) in that he died on the cross to forgive us our sins.

*hugs an awkwardly long time* im sorry. At least you know she is with Christ now.

People aren't healed in the desired ways every time. Sometimes God allows medical help to do the job, while others have to wait for their healing, while they develop patience and trust. Others are heals instantly, and others get to step over that threshold to eternal health and life in to Jesus' waiting arms. In all, faith is crucial. We should never waver in it or lose hope in God's every promise, for our faith is ALWAYS rewarded, because God is pleased with it.

well, i agree with that.
the just shall live by faith, and God's good promises never fail...
the Lord Jesus never fails.

thank you for responding.

Matthew 19:21
[SUP]21 [/SUP] Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

Luke 4:18
[SUP]18 [/SUP] "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

2 Corinthians 8:9
[SUP]9 [/SUP] For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

James 2:5
[SUP]5 [/SUP] Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

There is nothing wrong with being poor or rich.

Matthew 10:8
[SUP]8 [/SUP] Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Acts 5:16
[SUP]16 [/SUP] Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

James 5:14-15
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

If someone among us is sick we are to heal that person, not condemn the person for being sick.

Its not "Does God want you to be poor and sick", its "have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior" that matters!

Many Disciples who walked with Jesus Christ were poor and sick. The emphasis is not are you poor or rich, but have you accept Jesus Christ and are walking in the Light as He is the Light?

Why are you worrying if a person is Rich or poor? Why are you worrying if a person is healthy or sick?

Rich or poor, sick or healthy is not the issue! Walking with Jesus Chris in richness or poorness, in health or in sickness is the main issue!

If God wants us healthy He will heal us. If God wants us rich He will make us rich.

No one's worrying, here. There is a problem among many Christians' beliefs that indicate that to them, it is somehow God's will for any of His children to be in poverty or diseased. Out of that belief comes erroneous thinking about God and His character, His promises and provision, and His great love and affection toward us, mixing up what the enemy's influence is in this world with God's.

It's important to make these distinctions, and I am glad of this thread.
