Yeah likewise fellow human, what if you have it wrong? what if your interpretation of scripture is wrong?. Don't threaten me with fear, remove the plank from YOUR own eye chap before YOU can do that.

Many worship the cross they hang it around their neck they bow down to it, which is an idol worship, now check out these scriptures, God is a spirit person right?

John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Exodus 20:4
You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
I have the Holy Spirit to witness to me that I have it right...and I have lived a moral and good life based on my faith in Christ...Im very happy in my faith and have no doubt about its truth...What have I lost if im wrong? If your wrong you have lost even your soul.

Your comments are typical of most who do not fully understand equality laws in business, yes law maybe a little different in Europe, but I can not see how a commercial bakers can be classed as an artist. Quite rightly the bakers who refused to produce a cake for a homosexual wedding have been prosecuted for discrimination based on sexual orientation, A baker can provide a cake for this, but they do not have to eat it themselves.

Refusing a cake for a second marriage, and quite frankly saying second marriages are adulterous is disgusting and a nasty thing to say, is also going to end up with a successful prosecution.

Under law, you can not force anyone to provide something with offensive wording or imagery, if someone asked for wording on lines of and I quote you from above, "way to go on molesting that kid" or 'Congrats on your first rape" or 'Happy Hitler's birthday", then those are deemed offensive and the business being asked to provide that wording has full backing of the law and are 100% within rights to refuse those slogans.

As for putting Leviticus verse condemning homosexuals to death, then that will definitely end in another prosecution and an even larger fine, as that will be seen as hate crime, not just discrimination.

No wonder why people reject Christianity with so much hate and bile being spewed by Christians.

Again you seem to miss the constitution of the United States, that declares that we have every right to reject immoral behavior and no one can make us approve it.

so, I'm interested in hearing from whoever about what how much freedom a business owner should have...

if you could design your own society...

and would that society use democratic principles?

This was a planned out strategic attack on Christians, otherwise they could have simply gone to a bakery owned by people more sympathetic to their needs.

Oh come on that's ridiculous. That wasn't planned, that wasn't strategic, they walked into a bakery to get a cake. I don't know about you, but I usually don't check to see if I'm buying from christians or atheists or whatever when I got to buy a pizza or soemthing

So Samual, would you bake a cake for a rapist who wanted to celebrate a rape he is going to commit? Or maybe bake a cake for a man or woman who is going to celebrate committing adultery? They pose no threat to your religion.

They didn't want a gay pride cake. They just wanted a cake for their wedding. Give them a chocolate fudge cake or something and send them on their way

Full freedom.

If wal-mart doesn't want to sell me pencils or wedding cakes because I am a weirdo, or the color of my skin, or whatever other reason, then I'll go to target and get my pencils or wedding cakes there.

It shouldn't be that big of a deal.

There is someone out there, right now, who doesn't approve of my lifestyle. But I am not forcing my lifestyle upon the world. I am not causing laws to be made so that you must approve of my lifestyle.

But I'm starting to re-think that. Maybe I should cause laws to be passed so that you must approve of, and be reminded everyday, of my lifestyle?

Not really. I'm not that vain or narcissistic.

If you really think about it, this will all be over with in 1 generation. They can't have children. They can't pass it on. But we can pass Christianity to our children. Our children can spread Christianity to others children. And on and on...

I can't remember who said it, but it made me laugh.

How can religious people be against abortions AND be against gay marriage! If there's one group of people who will never have abortions it would be the Gays lol.

I'm not sure anything more clueless than that can be said out loud. And yeah, I know it was supposed to be funny. Guess what? It wasn't.

Like rosa parks on a bus in bama

Maybe it's too early but i giggled, i knew what you meant, but thwt statement is false. Im sure theyre are 'gay' persons that could be in a situation that they would choose abortion.
Those who have no regard for the biblical foundation of marriage, may or may not have a regard for life,

Samuel, would you have involved the state you live in if you were refused service at a restaurant because of your age or would you have gone somewhere else to get something to eat? Be truthful with your response.

Hey Samual, Just because you wouldn't check to see if the business peeps are christian or not doesn't mean our people do.
And if you don't think there was an agenda, look at the Same sex marriage law that just passed.....long time coming......yep, it's a stand they are taking. Control or loss there of.
At 15, I don't expect you to have seen the nation take a HUGE turn. But years ago, ugh........this was to most unheard of thing possible. I know it's probably just another subject in your life.
It's not about the cake.....hello is this thing on.......they walked into a bakery to get a cake, and then made a HUGE issue of it for a reason........they could have just simply gone somewhere else.
Kinda like, walking into a photography studio and asking for baby pics and hmmmmm they don't do that.

Yeah it was blown out of all sorts of proportion. They probably walked past a few shops who would be willing to meet their request.

I've got nothing against gays myself but I don't support how they went about this. If one shop says no, just go to the next one.

Their "wedding" is contrary to all moral principals and no moral person should or would want any part of their sexual perversion. And I'm sure if they had ask for a normal cake none of this would be an issue... of course they was trying to cause trouble ...It would be interesting to know why they chose this bakery. I can guess

Hug a homo day, tell them Jesus loves them, even if some Christians don't

If you really love them tell them the truth...they are sinners and the worse kind in the eyes of the Lord and need a Savior from their sin....

Selling homosexuals cookies but not a cake designed for a homosexual wedding is not discrimination based on sexual orientation. It's refusing to produce something for something you don't believe in, just like not making a Hitler birthday cake.

Refusing a cake for a second marriage, and quite frankly saying second marriages are adulterous is disgusting and a nasty thing to say, is also going to end up with a successful prosecution.

What country do you live in? There aren't many free countries left in the western world. You live somewhere where people can't consider something to be a sin? Some second marriages are adulterous, Matthew 19. If us posters went to your country, would we be locked up for 'hate crimes.'

A figuring of two men on top of a wedding cake or two women is offensive working and imagery.

As for putting Leviticus verse condemning homosexuals to death, then that will definitely end in another prosecution and an even larger fine, as that will be seen as hate crime, not just discrimination.

I'm not saying that won't be the case in the US. But at least according to the Constitution, we are supposed to have freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion. Courts have interpreted this as a right to 'freedom of expression.'

In a slightly more sane society, a baker could refuse service for something he doesn't believe in. If that doesn't work, if LGBT activists legally harass Christian bakers, and baking one type of gay wedding cake keeps them from being harassed, and a Leviticus 19 or 20 or Romans 1 cake works, why not? But it does make more sense for it to be legal to just politely decline.

No wonder why people reject Christianity with so much hate and bile being spewed by Christians.

Leviticus says to rebuke your neighbor frankly, lest you share in his sin and to love your neighbor as you love yourself. I Corinthians 13 tells us that love does not delight in iniquity but rejoices in the truth. Those who support homosexual behavior are not being loving according to the Bible.

When Christians found out HomeDepot supports gay rights, many decided to not go there anymore and go to Lowe's instead. But some Christians still go to Home Depot because it's closer than driving to another town. (like me) I can't track down every store that supports every wrong issue in the bible. We as a society are so closely intertwined it would take hours every day to research and try and do it all.

As far as this cake issue goes., I'm of he same mind as those who would bake the best cake they could as a testimony of Christs love. Sinners are only doing what they know how to do...sin. Sinners sin.
We can't change them by cleaning them up on the outside. As it's been quoted many times ... "we can't clean the fish before catching them" They need Jesus.

IMO I'm called to take each situation as it comes and not try and give a sweeping answer for every situation. He will give us the answers when we need them.

No, it's not fair what is being done but God never said it would be fair. They will hate us for Jesus sake, but they should not hate us for hating them.
Why dont you go ahead and buy the couple some toys for the wedding night too while your at it! Or maybe you could draw a pic of them kissing on the top of the "nicest cake " ever! I mean thats showing the love of Christ right? Hogwash!

Its not loving to agree with the sin and baking a cake for those whom are carrying out an ABOMINATION in Gods eyes is no less than aiding and abetting the abomination! In Gods court of law you would be guilty of agreeing with the crime by making the "best cake" you can! You arent showing Christs love by going along with a sin. And further more, it is not HATING to not agree with the abomination! Your reasoning is twisted and it is not loving Christ but it is going against everything Christ is!! TRUTH. It is impossible to stand on truth while aiding the lie!
Aiding and abetting is a legal doctrine related to the guilt of someone who aids or abets in the commission of a crime. It exists in a number of different countries and generally allows a court to pronounce someone guilty for aiding and abetting in a crime even if they are not the principal offender.
