lots of good, unified words spoken here in this thread, we are grateful and very moved
by the sharing and showing of Love one towards another..
I think it's important that the Bible gives us a brief picture of how our Father expressed Himself
in the person of Jesus Christ...no form or comeliness' and this would indicate that we are not to desire Him
according to His looks, but according to the inward man -there's is a lot implied here, because it is our nature
to be drawn to the handsome and the beautiful.
one of Israel's biggest mistakes was in wanting Saul to be their king, he was a tall, charismatic figure,
but inwardly he was a basket case.
we all have our insecurities, weakness, and doubt - in our marriage, when one of us is weak, the other one of us
becomes strong, this happened more and more as we grew in Christ and is an automatic response for us now,
we just kind of share and take-on the roll when need be of standing as each others pillar and support -
Christ has taught us this wonderful way to not only nurture and care for one another, but it definitely spills
over and onto nurturing our brothers and sisters.
SO, when I look in the mirror and see that I am now a, 'spotty-bald-tooth challenged-victim-of-gravity and other
unmentionable flaws
, that would have shocked me when younger, my lovely wife always reassures me that
I am just as my Father in heaven has designed me and she loves the whole package with all of the flaws and
results of a life that has experienced the transition from 'carnal to Spiritual'. (and me HER
)
Crossnote, it's always about the 'love and support and encouragement', thus we must have that Spiritual Mind
that is strong so that we may pass it on to others, not only through word, but through deed and example...
we both are regularly awed by our Makers ways and means of refining us all for His glory.
our prayers are with both of you as you are being refined, honed, and strengthened in the Faith and in
the Love of God and in Love towards one another, only a stronger unit shall result for zealously being
in the will of God.
