OH! Jumping from chair to couch to... pillow in the living room to avoid lava.

Yeah, who ever thought that growing up would be as disappointing as it is. Endless summer days of catching frogs, and turtles, and fishing, and swimming and walks in the woods. Snowball fights, walking through the mud and sometimes having mud fights.

Some of those things I still do, but not the same as it was then. Being blissfully un-self aware. :)
I just had a The Floor is Lava marathon a few months ago in a hotel room with my teenage daughter. I totally rocked that game... she didn't stand a chance!

I remember when you could call your own home number on the phone and it would ring on the other phone in the other room. We were always playing house, and calling each other.

Remember "Be Kind, Rewind"?

Remember the annual television showing of The Wizard of Oz? (Or The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!)

Remember when seat belts weren't even really a thing, and you stretched out in the floor boards of the family car on road trips?

At one point we had one of those old station wagons with the back-facing backseat. I used to always lay down in the back on trips lol.

I actually bought them on ebay a few years ago for like 10 bucks for all of them in their original packaging! I couldn't let that offer go. I'm surprised I found them that cheap. As a kid I only had the pink Ranger and I broke it soon after. So I'm very happy that I have them all now. :D

I remember those coins too! My brother likes Star Wars too but he likes to open his and display them.

I did this with a slush once at a store that sold them. I may have gone too far, because after blowing into it, it all came to the top and spilled on the floor haha. #noragrets

I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that place.
Even your emotions had an echo
In so much space

And when you're out there
Without care,
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just knew too much

Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Possibly

I remember my mighty mouse portable phonograph record player my parents bought me one Christmas with pictures of Mighty mouse flying around on it in 1965. My collection of 45's included, "How much is that doggy in the window." My version of rock and roll at that age. smile. I remember still my Mom and Dad struggling with all four of my siblings to pay for things, and they spent just under 20 bucks for this thing. I still remember that. I felt like they bought me a car. I felt bad I put a burden on them financially at 20 dollars. I was humble even back then! Smile. By saying that--obviously not now.

Yes. The old licorice vinyl records and the portable players. Always replay. Carefully lift the arm and set it on the edge of the record. Even now I can hear the delicate sound of needle to record just before the music.

Oh, no. Slave, that reminds me. Remember 8 Track Cassettes that came along! They were in one day, gone the next. So bulky.

Lynx, that is also hilarious! Really is all a matter of perspective! Which side of the screen one is trying to peer through.

Hilarious!

The 8-track world I tried to stay away from even then, but I remember them well....all the tape coming out accidentally ruining the thing and it jumped from section to section not true fast forward, they were what I think of in hell for music options. And yes, the thing would automatically play when you shut the lid on the phonograph...oh no we're showing our age! Shhhhhh! Why do I have a grin on?
