Wise, you are extremely intelligent, especially when it comes to political and social matters, and you have an awesome sense of humor. I'm so glad you are sharing these things with us!!! Please keep doing so. Your threads are one of the few things that have made me smile this week.

Have you ever thought of adopting? (Just asking... I know being a single parent would be incredibly hard, as I've thought about it myself.)
no, reason, my family line ends with me. no blood line dies.

I understand that very well, Wise.

I am adopted with no records. No known blood ties or lines here either. I don't even know what my heritage or background truly is.

We're kind of like unicorns (seeing as there's been a lot of talk about them in the threads lately)... the last of our kind.

Jump back online and I missed the party..:(

Tried to reply with multiple quotes and it crashed so ...

Kim: thanks for rooting for me and pimping out my knitting skills for the cause. You simply Rock. Your witty "she's a purl" comment was clever!!!

Born Again...you are correct! I can be quite charming LOL.

Melita: Again thanks for the shameless plugs for my knitting!!

Alas I'm a pollack not Russian so guess I'm knocked out of the running. But since Wise refuses to wear knitted items it was doomed to fail before it began. :p

Cinder and WWJD are on deck!!!!!

Yeah I can be bothered PMing either but if I were going to answer these would be my answers:

1. 93 I think. I do know they number them in alphabetical order. So porter county is 64 and posey county is 65.

2. I was going to guess churchill.

3. Sometime in 1959 before Hawaii did. Interesting side note, we have my great grandpa's coffin flag and it has only 48 stars.

4. Something I would look up should I ever need to use it.

5. Kiev

6. Gold. Actually I did try to cheat and look on my maps program but it didn't show a single city in all of the Yukon. I think I'll just go to Juneau instead.

7. 220+ years. But does it really matter now that pluto got demoted out of the planet club and is no longer a proper planet?

8. Anyone who had 80,000 lbs of stuff to ship would probably send it by another form of transportation. But assuming this hypothetical 40 ton truck and bridge with 6 ton weight limit, I wouldn't risk it.

9. I don't know. I'll shoot and you can count.

10. Yep, it was called New Amsterdam until the British took over.

Bonus: Without well defined criteria for best, all I can say is that I think I'd rate Tintin higher than wisebeardman, but that could change with additional information.
Haha! Very cool. ...I think.
