No trust me he isn't. Think of this way, once you receive salvation once you have a place in heaven then what? if your connection with God is real then you naturally produce fruits you naturally give it your all you seek God out with a hungry heart you want to be just like him you want to serve him and others.

I mean once we are saved then what? what is our reason for being a Christian once we have salvation once we have this gift what do we intend to do with this gift?

And to add. Why would we tell God. I trust you in what you said, I am a sinner, My sin has alienated me from you. And I am in need of salvation to be freed from my sin.

Only to keep on sinning..

What kind of faith is that?

Receiving the gift is a different topic. Grace proceeds entirely from within God Himself, and is in no way conditional upon anything in the objects of His favor.

Our response to Gods grace is indeed conditional, it’s conditional upon us actually responding. Scripture calls that response, faith. And faith is not a work, it is but the empty hand that freely receives what God freely gives.

Yes, God is not going to force anything on us..

He could. but he wants a true relationship with us, and forcing his love on you will destroy any chance of a relationship.

Honestly that depends on what one would classify as keep on sinning.
if people see that as never sinning any more ever again then they misunderstood and will never reach their idea of God's standards. I mean I would be in absolute torture beating myself up being disgusted with myself because I sin even a simple mistake I would never feel good enough for God and faith would not be hope for me it would be a curse

I think you missed my point completely though ... God didn't use Adam like someone would use a pen. He didn't say to Himself, "I'll call this an elephant, and get Adam to use his mouth to call it an elephant, and let him think he used his own creativity to do so." ... God let sinless Adam choose the name.

His goal is not to make us into His puppets ...
That verse which speaks of the use of the Master isnt suggesting a puppet show though, but for God to dwell and live through one and walk in His light. He would be the treasure in the earthen vessel and the power therein.

I only used that as a term many people use, But thanks for clarifying, I would hate for someone to be confused.

"You mean I can be saved and keep on sinning?

Yes, I agree.. That is why there is truly no hope in a gospel based on work.. We could never be secure, unless we water down Gods law. or hide our sin and not even admit it is sin..

You know, for a long time now I've been thinking Grace is unconditional--but it's not; it hinges on our believing.
There's actually a theology called Free Grace whose adherents openly admit that all a person has to do is believe once and they're saved. No obedience required. Salvation by grace apart from faith.

OSASers and "grace believers" also believe the same thing, but they don't like to openly talk about it.

I mean i was never good enough for anyone in my life no matter what I did how hard I tried I never lived up to ppls standards, if it was the same way with God there really is no hope at all. He told me he loved me just for who I am he told me I was more than good enough for him he even told me I was royalty and he showed me and allowed me to experience what it's like to be royalty although that is a story for another day and thread.

he loved me and accepted me and treasured me for who I am not for what I am not he knew my weaknesses he knew my flaws he knew my darkness and yet all he saw was his beloved and adored child. Believe me when one grows up never being good enough never being loved for who they are they really treasure being seen and loved as he does.

That is called by Jude licentiousness..

It has been a factor in the church since it was started. and condemned by the church.

But you do not fight this by going 180 and making grace earned, or equal to works.. You would be exchanging one false gospel for another false gospel. just to fight the other false gospel.

ie, you do not fight a lie with another lie. But that is exactly what Satan did with the jews, and continues to do with the church. And people buy into it hook line and sinker

That's a God to have faith in, To gives hope. and shows us how to love.

yes, the grace of God is conditional...as you say one must believe...

There is a process...first "listen to the message of truth"...then "believe" ..then we are "sealed" by the Holy Spirit in our inner man as the Lord becomes one with our spirit

Ephesians 1:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Acts 15:8-9 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] "And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;
[SUP]9 [/SUP] and He made no distinction between us and them,
cleansing their hearts by faith.

I wouldn't say Grace is conditional, true you have to accept it as a free gift but once you have this grace it is in no way conditional so really whether it is conditional or not depends on the eye of the beholder
