Heb 3:12Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Theres a verse which says for the brethren to take heed that such an evil heart of unbelief be not found in you departing from God

Scripture isolated from context causes all kinds of crazy thoughts and beliefs..here's one for example..

Exodus 32:33 (NASB)
[SUP]33 [/SUP] The LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

We all have sinned so it looks like we are blotted out of His book....

Why are you running a race if you don't believe you can lose your salvation? Just kick back and have a drink. You are confusing
How is that confusing, Is my job on earth done just because I am saved? Who has ever said this?

Being born again, adopted as a child of god is just the beginning of an eternal adventure. of learning about our god and being used by him.

No one ever said once a person is saved they can just sit on the couch, the game is over..

Imagine if we bring walking with Christ down to eating food or not eating food. The food is there and life flows. We can choose to eat the food or ignore it. Now some will ignore it and slowly starve to death. They could gain life and continue in it but they have chosen to starve themselves.

Now the statement you are secure in Christ is true, and nothing can snatch you out of His hand, but you can choose to walk a different path. I sometimes wonder who has really found the path, based on the replies I receive.

Jesus said everything is revealed about Him from the Father. I therefore have to take it some of you guys do not know the King. Some have confessed they do not want to change their point of view, and to do so would be terrible. Now I do not think like that, I know why I believe what I believe and how. It is why I know now about the early church and the problems with original sin. I understand a little better about the spirituality of some in the latter rain, and its problems. I also see, if I praise God with an open thankful heart, it does not matter the company I am in, as long as the Lord is glorified.

So let us learn to praise His name and walk in His ways, however you interpret that is, the Lord is good. God bless.

The writer of Hebrews most likely missed out on that verse, unless the heart which believed turned again into unbelief

Luke 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

Shows some believe for a while also

Heres a no blotter verse

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

As a child were you not ever told not to say "No one" or never or you always. They are exagurations. People have said rest in God, people have discussed this at length. Others have condemned work in the church as of the flesh. With so much things possible in the flesh or sin, it is a surprise you dare do anything, because you cannot rely on your conscience, that is the devil, or the Holy Spirit, he never condemns you for wrong actions, so you could be completely 100% wrong and you would never know it, or it would not even matter, because the saved are saved and thats a done deal.

"Conditional grace" is an oxymoron.
How....

..... so?

(Seriously: Are you purposefully being difficult to communicate with? Is it always similar to pulling teeth when trying to get you to support your frank remarks?)

Can a believer stop believing? Can a believer turn his back on Christ? Can a Christian renounce their faith?
Would a child stop believing, trusting, or loving a parent who took care of every one of their needs, And never lets them down? Would they leave that parent? Would they renounce the fact they were the parents child?

Why?

Is Grace conditional?
If it was, it would not be grace, it would be works.

You know, for a long time now I've been thinking Grace is unconditional--but it's not; it hinges on our believing.
John 6, it is the work of God we believe, It is all Gods work in us,, Us trusting him,, It is not conditional. Conditional means we could earn it, Can you earn grace?

Is grace a reward (earned)? or a gift? (free)

It seems to me that a cause of much dissension here is centered around linear thinking; we humans think of life in terms of start to finish--but life isn't so simple! If Man-X believes, then Man-X is saved. However, if Man-X stops believing at some point here on Earth, then Man-X is no longer saved (some would go further, to say Man-X never truly believed and therefore, was never truly saved).

That would be human thinking, and make God into a human who is not outside time.

Why would God give eternal life to a person as a gift, when he knows that person would

1. Continue in sin
2. Not have true faith (see my first point, I can see a person who just believes losing belief, but not a person who has true faith)
3. That He would have to take back the gift, he called free to begin with.

God says we were chosen from the foundation of the world to be his children, Did God make a mistake in the beginning to chose someone, then have to take back that gift?

"'I the Lord search the heart and test the mind,
to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his deeds.'" (Jer 17:10)
Ok, Now your talking about rewards. I thought we were talking about gifts? They are not the same..

We earn reward, and can boast of them, because we rightly earned them.

We can not earn a gift, nor can we boast of it, Because we did not deserve it to begin with. It was freely given of Grace.

"'And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds." (Rev 2:23)

Again, You are talking about rewards.. Gold silver precious stone, wood hey straw.

Lost people will have no reward. even burnt reward, they will have eternal damnation.

Its not a bad thing to be a vessel for his use

2 Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

2 Ti 2:21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Dude, Your lies will get you..
I am sorry. Did you not say I was calling you back to where you had come from? I did not realise repeating what you wrote is now a lie. You say I lie about you, but that is just slander unless you can say this is not true. I remember when we went down this road before you actually admitted I said exactly what you believed but not the why.

You are so self possessed and angry, because you are so right and I am so wrong. That is what puffed up people do, which you say I do, but here you are loosing your temper, blowing it all up, and you can do nothing about it.

Now my friend, I am not judging you, I never have. If you get a baseball bat, tell me I am not saved, a self righteous sinner who is a pharisee, it is not unreasonable of me to say pardon? I do not understand it. But I do now. You behave like a troll and are not willing to go through the real differences between us, which in theory are minor, but you want to make major.

The poison you spread is this bullying and intimidation approach. But the more you do the better it becomes of bouncing off.
You did not see my words before, so a hard heart you must have, like a stone. So I know there is no coming together between us, I did think there might be a month ago, but not now.

I'm having a hard time with John 6.

No one can come unless drawn by God.

God does the drawing and the saving...

...these leaves us with doing the accepting.

The scripture there does not say they go to hell...it says they fall ( stand away ) because in the time of testing they in Matt 13 and Mark 4 says they are "offended"

How does one "un-born" oneself?..especially since Peter says we are born-again of incorruptible seed. People say they can use their will to walk away from Christ...but it's the mind being deceived....as no person can by an act of their will decide to be un-born as a human...neither can we be "un-born" because in our inner man we are One with Christ...created in righteousness and holiness.

He said "No one can pluck them out of My hand nor my Father's hand".. no one ..includes us..IMO

Lets all eat the living food. which one can eat and never die, because it endures forever.

John 6: [SUP]26 [/SUP]Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. [SUP]27 [/SUP]Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”
[SUP]29 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
[SUP]30 [/SUP]Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do? [SUP]31 [/SUP]Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”[SUP][d][/SUP]
[SUP]32 [/SUP]Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. [SUP]33 [/SUP]For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
[SUP]34 [/SUP]Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
[SUP]35 [/SUP]And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. [SUP]36 [/SUP]But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. [SUP]37 [/SUP]All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. [SUP]38 [/SUP]For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. [SUP]39 [/SUP]This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. [SUP]40 [/SUP]And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

[SUP]1 [/SUP]The Jews then complained about Him, because He said, “I am the bread which came down from heaven.” [SUP]42 [/SUP]And they said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that He says, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”
[SUP]43 [/SUP]Jesus therefore answered and said to them, “Do not murmur among yourselves. [SUP]44 [/SUP]No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. [SUP]45 [/SUP]It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’[SUP][e][/SUP] Therefore everyone who has heard and learned[SUP][f][/SUP] from the Father comes to Me. [SUP]46 [/SUP]Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father. [SUP]47 [/SUP]Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me[SUP][g][/SUP] has everlasting life. [SUP]48 [/SUP]I am the bread of life. [SUP]49 [/SUP]Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. [SUP]50 [/SUP]This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. [SUP]51 [/SUP]I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”
[SUP]52 [/SUP]The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?”
[SUP]53 [/SUP]Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. [SUP]54 [/SUP]Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. [SUP]55 [/SUP]For My flesh is food indeed,[SUP][h][/SUP] and My blood is drink indeed. [SUP]56 [/SUP]He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. [SUP]57 [/SUP]As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. [SUP]58 [/SUP]This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”
[SUP]59 [/SUP]These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.
Many Disciples Turn Away

[SUP]60 [/SUP]Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?”
[SUP]61 [/SUP]When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you? [SUP]62 [/SUP]What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? [SUP]63 [/SUP]It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. [SUP]64 [/SUP]But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. [SUP]65 [/SUP]And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”
[SUP]66 [/SUP]From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. [SUP]67 [/SUP]Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”
[SUP]68 [/SUP]But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. [SUP]69 [/SUP]Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”[SUP][[/SUP][SUP]i][/SUP]
