Actually it wasn't over the top, nor was it intended to be an insult. Nor was it meant to be gross or implicate anything. MY arms are too short to scratch itches on my back, and I don't have a back scratcher. Nor can my arms reach my ankles where I used to have bites from fleas. I forget the PC police is always watching, ready to pounce. :/

Oh, I'm not the PC police. And by the over-the-top insult, I meant more along the lines of outrageous, silly, playful banter. The sort of thing you'd say to a good friend, someone you're comfortable with, but not to new friends, acquaintances or strangers. I didn't know it was so literal for you. Sorry about that. Not having a back scratcher? Unheard of in my house! I have an upstairs one, a downstairs one, and I borrow John's when his is easier to reach. A good back scratching is up there with lilac in spring for one of my all time favorite things.

A few years ago, I had a wicked flea infestation in my old apartment. Strangely enough, very few were on Tequila, the rest were in the carpets, mattress and boxspring. Lemme tell you, flea bites itch ALOT worse than skeeter bites do.

People can struggle with any kind of sin and be born again. Practicing sin and feeling the urges and tendencies are two different things. A practicing homosexual who doesn't care about Jesus is something different than someone who has homosexual issues/tendencies, knows its wrong, but struggles with those urges.
Even if they are a deviant, as you so ridiculously put it ... we are to approach them with love ... not push them further from the kingdom of God with judgement and criticism.

So you call him a 'pharisee' and talk about how he is judging others, then go on to talk about how he 'probably' is a sexual deviant and full of 'seedy fetishes'. Which part of your post makes you any different when it comes to judging, than him? You made judgments against him by saying such things, thereby negating your argument. Shot yourself in the foot there.
It isn't arrogant. It's fact. I have gay friends and I love them to death. Every church I have hopped to so far has preached love and acceptance for the gay community. However, there is a clear difference between "acceptance" and "support". What you're fighting for is support for something that the Bible clearly speaks against. Sorry, that sucks. Is gay marriage wrong? Yeah, the Bible says it is, sorry. However, should the government have ANY say about who can marry who? Nope. If you want to go against what the Bible says because "love is love" then you can attack the government's false right to regulate everything from drugs to firearms to marriage. Don't come on here and hammer people over their moral, SCRIPTURAL beliefs. I have a tattoo, I'm not going to slam everyone on here who thinks I have sinned (or that I'm demonically possesses haha) because I have a tattoo. They are entitled to their moral beliefs. People aren't calling for gays to be jailed or killed.

You received a ton of likes on this; and it seems like a shiny crystal but God wants us to be real: really loving our enemy (not tolerating them) , and really hating the sin, without notice of needing to win the victory over sin. That has already been done. But you are right, the enemy doesn't have peace. That's not a call to a fight, but a call to meet their need of obtaining it. God is the winner here. And love prevails over the anti-god spirit of antagonistic attack on what the enemy claims is God's restrictive burden of labelling. Jesus never skips a step in loving all sinners. But never skips a step in hating anything outside of Himself either. When it comes to wisdom we are the branch He is the vine, and He has not endorsed this as anything but outside of Himself. This then is the True Christian message.
