Can't think of anything that bothers me that men do that I don't see in many women too. Really not a matter of gender.
I'm not a talker so was sometimes bothered when my husband wanted to go on and on and on. I even choose my friends who are more of a 2nd gear type of person. When anyone never leaves a space in conversation for some silent thought, they completely tire me.
I like what Santuzza said. When you do listen to your wife, make good eye contact with her. That way, even 5 minutes will seem like maybe 15 min. to her.

(( "When anyone never leaves a space in conversation for some silent thought, they completely tire me."))
this has been one of my biggest challenges, as both of us have seen in the last very few years,
more and more of those we know and newly meet, they seem to have a great need to be heard, and
really don't even seem to be aware of their manner of speaking...
of course we understand that this is a mechanism for coping and this is how we have developed our
patience with such - (spaceless-onward-speakers) who speak without a break or seemingly a need for a reply...
we have also learned, that whether we are in the silent part of Faith or the spoken part of Faith, that we
have to draw closer to Christ and learn to do His will....this has definitely been very trying and has
taken a lot of work on our parts to be earnest listeners....we don't take it personally, but we so see
the human-condition in so many ways, getting worse and worse.....
