One thing that comes to mind here is that we must all remain sensitive to the Spirit's leading. It is amazing how the Spirit can enable even the meekest of Christians when the time is right.

(Luke 12:11 [KJV])
And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and [unto] magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

(Luke 12:12 [KJV])
For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

Amen brother!

(Luke 12:12 [KJV])
For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
The Holy Spirit quoted this to me one night when I was praying laying in bed. I was upset that maybe I didnt do enough when I was witnessing to a JW. When he said that to me I jumped out of bed and went to my bible to find it. I stayed up for many more hours studying about JW so that the next opportunity God presented me, I would do better with it.
What a wonderful Lord we serve! God is so good!

Thank you for your input sir. Blessings to you

I agree with your point, I cannot accept the two words "vomit" and "christians" put together.

I am pointing out a spirit that is apparent among some, that is all.
Jesus said he would vomit out those who are lukewarm. Perhaps it is Christ' words that upset you so much. Dont shoot the messenger

Well then you need to rebuttal yourself because your guilt-tripping about witnessing is nothing more than works-based righteousness that puts all kinds of people into bondage, and makes them take their eyes off of walking by the spirit.

Again, you have no idea what I believe. You simply allowed yourself to be influenced by some serpent tongues here.

Quote "your guilt-tripping about witnessing is nothing more than works-based righteousness that puts all kinds of people into bondage

I'm sorry, you meant that for someone else but I take offense to that. Are you saying that what I did in ministry was "works based"? and putting people into bondage?! I hope not.

[h=1]Matthew 5:16-In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that[a] they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.[/h]
[h=1]James 2:14-17-What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good[a] is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.[/h]
[h=1]Ephesians 2:10- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.[/h]
[h=1]James 2:26-For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.[/h]
[h=1]James 2:18-But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.[/h][h=1]Hebrews 10:24- And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works[/h]Faith and works go hand in hand, they don't oppose each other! We are saved BY faith FOR good works.

Why don't we all stop the personal attacks on each other and celebrate what our Lord has done for us....in knowing Him - we will tell others as His love flows in and through us to a hurt and dying world and to our fellow brethren too....

MATT. 5:46-47.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

it's so easy to love when you feel another's love for yourself, but oh dear Lord, what a challenge it is
when you feel disagreement, hatred, animosity and resentment towards yourself....

but, if we are in touch with the Love of God within us, we can definitely Love those that treat us unkindly or
disrespectfully, let us never forget what is written, 'The more that I LOVE, the LESS I am LOVED'...

oh dear, we must all put on Jesus' big heart and continually exercise our LOVE for our beloved brethren...

She has a very direct way of speaking. She's talking,I believe, about God saying He will spew you out of His mouth. I can only speak for myself and my own words in these forums. But there are people on CC that are confrontational, rude and very direct and yet they seem to be well received and respected by most here. I see likes on their posts all the time. But it seems,to me,that people here have ganged up on Ms Susanna and attacked her and she, like all of us,is left trying to defend herself. I dont often step in but I think if people can accept "not naming names" that have been here a while, they can accept Ms Susanna. No one likes to be ganged up on. There are plenty people here that spout off and have to apologize after. So lets chill out. If you disagree with her so much then skip her threads. But it seems some here near get away with murder and no one picks them up on it. And if you've been here a while you know the people I am referring to. So lets calm down a bit and stop attacking one another. If we cant get along, how will we evangelize/witness to others? And this post wasn't directed at you Peter.
I will write you a PM here in a bit if that is okay with you.
Thank you sister.

As someone who was very verbally abused as a child I internalized it all and believed those horrible things about myself. I've been a Christian my whole life but even so, those things said to me took a long time to overcome. When I see Christians do it to other Christians it makes me sad. Not for the person that does it but the person it is done to.

Verbal abuse is when one person attempts to define another person, their motivations, what they believe etc. Essentially telling them what they are in a negative sense. It's like using a sticky note that says..."you're this that or the other thing" and then supergluing it to the persons soul. Usually these types of people have a number of errors in their thinking and a compulsive desire to control situations and others. They are incapable of stepping back and looking for the good in others. They want all the power and control over others. They cannot receive any criticism but can only give it and they don't have the ability to express empathy. They cannot self reflect on their actions and it's really not even that they can't....they simply won't.

raised in TN; it was a state requirement for all citizens to slap their knees and stomp their foot keeping time whenever bluegrass spirituals were played!

Good post. I believe that is where many people are failing now days. People want to get in their selves and say things when and how they want to. Not knowing that they are only making shipwreck when they do that. I believe we have to listen and wait on the Lord. The Holy Ghost knows how to answer and deal with all men.

My mother would always try to witness to my brother. She would go and tell him things that she thought he needed to hear and it would always end up in an argument. He would say bad things that he shouldn't say and no good ever come of it.

I did the same thing when I first got saved and it did no good what so ever. Then I learned that if God wasn't moving on me..just to invite him to church and if he said no, leave it at that.

One day the Lord moved on me to go talk to him. I was nervous because I didn't want to get into an argument with him. The Lord kept urging me to do it and gave me the words to say as I was talking to him. There was a difference that time. He talked to me, asked questions, and really listened to what I was saying with tears in his eyes, and he went to church with us that night. I learned then that if we wait upon the Lord and listen to him and say what he wants us to, then we can help someone else, if not we might just make things worse.

Im just saying Sirk that everyone here has strong opinions. And there are many here that state them very strongly, and I see people getting along with them, even joking with them. One person, that has left CC, had a heart for reconciliation and would try to get people to get along in threads. He crossed another member here and even tried to PM them privately to no avail. He could not make peace with that person, who is known to be outspoken, so he left. Who the person is doesn't matter. The fact is we are all one body and we need to get along together. Depleted admits to being straight forward,I wouldn't expect her to be anything else, shes a blessing! Miss Blue,we all love too and she makes no bones about what she believes. They both bring something needed to CC. And so it is with Ms Susana. If you can't understand her directness,if its too much to handle why bother responding? I feel like she's being ganged up on and its just my opinion. None of us are 100% right in what we say. But we are called to be a witness and to spread the Good News, that was the command we were given and we ought to here and obey. Its to late to be quibbling about the how, just go on and share the faith.

You don't even know what the word lukewarm means in that context. It's describing Christians who are so self secure in themselves that they are of no use to GOD. Salt without savor.
