I watched a video clip of Axl Rose with AC/DC singing Shoot to Thrill. He was singing while sitting in a tall chair on stage with his left leg in what appeared to be a cast.

AC/DC is one of the most popular rock bands ever. But I just don't get it.. to me sound like your average generic rock band

No matter how popular a rock band may be, there will always be someone who does not particularly care for them. ;)

My views on songs is all to do about the lyrics.... not the style or genre of music behind the lyrics..

If the lyrics are offensive to the Will of God or runs counter to the will of God then it does not matter if it is country, rock or rap it is not good or worthy to listen too..

But if the lyrics are ok with then the type of music is for me irrelevant..

Also some performers can produce an acceptable piece of music but then produce something that is not acceptable for Christians.. I can enjoy the song that is acceptable but at the same time not play the song that is offensive ...

If people are unsure or in doubts then they should pray for the conviction of the Holy Spirit on the song that are listening to.. Let your conscience be clear before the LORD.

I have seen Jann Arden perform in concert five times, once with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. One time she was asking the audience which cover songs we would like to hear, and ACDC was requested. She tried singing Highway To Hell. It was quite humorous, because she really only knew the words to the chorus :D She is such a funny girl. I met her once when I went to a CD signing. We shared a big warm hug, and she wrote on my CD that I was a doll, and that she loved the purple

This is one of the three other bands I saw with BÖC. Uriah Heep is often touted for their Demons and WIzards and later music, but I always liked the earlier Salisbury disc best :)

you should try learning their stuff, then performing it live. I'm sure it will only take you a couple of days to get it all down since it's so easy.

He fell off the stage when guns n roses got back together. Slash acually went to one of the ac/dc concerts he was doing. Axl like it so much ac/dc had to remind him it was only temporay lol. Brians back niw though

I'm not half the man I used to be... ;););)

I saw the Beatles (on TV) when they first performed in America on The Ed Sullivan Show. I was eight years old, and knew something big was happening. A few months earlier, JFK had been shot. The JFK news had been weighty sombre big. This was an uplifting exciting big. Much better!

George passed also (15 years ago), so only Paul and Ringo are still walking this world.

I am in tears just looking at all these wonderful images from over the years of the collaborations between John and Paul. They were quite the pairing :)

One of my fave songs from way back when is Little Wing done by Derek and the Dominos, from their double disc Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs recording, still one of my all time faves. It was a cover song, written by Jimi Hendrix, and while I normally prefer originals, this is an exception to that rule :D This song was added to the LP as a tribute to Hendrix, who had just died. Duane Allman contributed a lot to the album. This sure brings back a lot of memories :D I was sixteen, and in love...

The Tragically Hip, who formed in 1984, had possibly their last ever concert in their home
town of Kingston, Ontario, last night, live telecast
globally as a cross platform event on CBC.

"It was in Bobcaygeon where I saw the constellations reveal themselves one star at a time"

Imagine from John Lennon is probably the most deceptive satanic song which has had the greatest impact on leading millions of people away from believing God..

"" imagine they're s no heaven it's easy if you try.. No hell below us.. Above us only sky ... "" He was satans pied piper to the baby boomer generation..

I'm shocked it took six pages before someone threw out the Satanism card in reference to classic rock music. Stay classy CC!

LOL

Many songs that I listened to, even as a nonbeliever, I would swap the meaning over to being about seeking God. An example of this would be The Hollies song, The Air That I Breathe. The lyric went, "Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe, and to love you." In my mind, even though I did not (yet) believe in the God of the Bible, to me the song was about our relationship with God, Whoever He was. Figuring that out seemed a pretty important aspect of understanding much of the rest of life :) I loved music because there was always some universal aspect to it, connected me to some higher or bigger truth, informed me of things I did not know, told age old stories in fresh new ways, and articulated things about life and love I would have struggled to put into words for myself. That is not to say that instrumental pieces did not likewise move me. I loved them equally well. I still do :D
