Hey Everyone,

I have a confession to make.

I think I just might be addicted to... Hey, wait a minute!!! Does that title say, "Prom??!!!" Stupid auto-correct. Of course, I meant to say "porn," but auto-correct obviously changed it to "prom", and since I just got home from working all night, I'm too tired to go back and manually correct the auto-correct.

So... Let's talk about prom, shall we? The "I'll-Never-Wear-This-Again" dresses, the rooms full of every guy wearing duplicates of the same rented tux, the larger-than-life hair...

What's not to love about PROM??!! So... Tell us:

* Did you go to your prom?

* Who was your date? Who did you want to ask (or want to ask you), but did not?

* What did your dress/tux/outfit look like?

* And, if you opted out, what did you choose to do instead?

Pictures are welcome!! :D

*Disclaimer* This thread is merely meant as a playful distraction from the firestorm of "Hey, I'M the Biggest Porn Expert Here, So Listen to ME!" going on in another thread.

This thread is in no way, shape, or form meant to disrespect anyone out there who DOES struggle with porn. I completely respect anyone in the midst of the fight, and God bless you in your journey.

In the meantime, let's take a minute to talk about PROM. :p

Happy Sharing! :)

I didn't.
In part because I didn't have any real friends at that school, in part because I hate big social events.
I'd rather bring 1-3 friends to a cafe and relax

This post made me laugh and inspired me to comment even after I told myself I wasn't going to comment on the forums the rest of the day. It's only 10:38 and I've already failed.

My friends and I decided to skip prom and have a party instead. We all hung out and had a ton of fun. I think we had more fun than if we had decide to go to prom.

Yea I never got that prom thing either...it's like a mini-marriage ceremony in a way...I'm like what the heck I'm still a kid man!

I just always thought it was just fluff/childish...I mean if I wanted to get all dressed up, dance and eat some food, I would have done that at home to my own techno music yo! and be my own DJ.....and the whole homecoming king/queen....what? When did school become a monarchy lol? And I'm already at home? so who's coming home? lol as you can tell Im in a funny mood today lol

Wanna marry me? :p

I hate the idea of a stiff, formal wedding. I'd rather give everyone instructions to bring wellies and go hike in the woods :p

We're on the same wavelength, Ult.

I actually don't mind the porn threads all that much because we have some very brave members here who share valuable personal input and experience; but when people start shouting over each other just to let everyone know their point of view is the "most correct", it also seems as if they're saying, "Listen, you idiots! I OF ALL PEOPLE KNOW THE ABSOLUTE MOST ABOUT PORN HERE, SO SIT DOWN AND LISTEN TO MY EXPERTISE!!"

And it's like, WHOA!! Ok! I'll be good and sit quietly! After all, whom am I, little worm that I am, to argue against one who has worked so hard to be a Master of Porn?

Alas... Sorry to derail.

Please everyone, let's keep talking about PROM.

Your stories are awesome... Keep 'em coming! :D

Yeah, sure. Well do it this sunday, youll have to be in the U.S. by then : p

And oh, a friend of a friend of mine had his wedding in the woods here in my state, they had it in one of our forests. I thought it was gonna be way cool, being out in the middle of nowhere like that. But it ended up being all formal and we sat in the lounge the entire time, was disappointed : p Like what was even the point of being out there anyway : p

The title of the thread begs the question how can one be addicted to prom when it is a once in a lifetime event? lol I mean you can't repeat it once it's done and your out of HS? Is there a darker meaning to this thread seoul? muhahahhaha jk

I did go to my senior prom in 1988. I went with a good friend, strictly platonic. It was very 80's a lot of big hair and poofy shiny dresses. Lots of mullets on the guys and sunglasses for some reason. My dress wasn't really all that 80's. It actually looked like a wedding dress. It looked similar to the dress I posted. I think my dress got damaged from mold? I think we threw it out years after my prom.

And here's the part where we start digging into Seoul's dark past...

When I was around 20ish? A friend of the family wanted me to go with her son to prom (he was 18.)

I have to admit, the thought of crashing a high school prom sounded fun. For like, 30 seconds.

Alas... he never asked me. :(

Wow that's quite an age/maturity difference b/c most teen 18 yo guys are immature and you would have been more mature after being in college for a few years it would have probably been like baby-sitting for you lol.....
