I haven't heard guys gossiping about other guy's looks, but they sure love to talk up their sexual prowess.

I have met some women who do this, too. I once knew a woman who openly told us about her sex life, was pretty gross and awkward : /

Ugh! When the people at work begin talking about that I put my earbuds in and listen to music. We're not supposed to be listening to music at work, but the managers know there is only one reason they will ever see me with earbuds in my ears when I'm running the grill.

But when people start doing this don't you really want to say in your most sarcastic voice, "It's wonderful that you're such a whore, I bet your parents are really proud." Not that I've ever done that, but sometimes it's tempting.

Ugh yeah. I had a teenager friend who'd tell me about her adventures. Worse though, was an old guy friend, he's like 5 years younger than me and every time I ask him how he's doing, he'd talk about his harem dream. Ugh.

I've known some people like this too. After listening to one woman's stories for awhile, I started to realize that most of her tales of her exploits were either completely fabricated or exaggerated. I think there's pressure on a lot of older single people to prove that they are desirable to the opposite sex. I'm sure there are plenty of legitimate players, but I'm convinced that most people who brag about their sex life are overcompensating.

My, this thread has strayed far afield! Let's get back to the topic of pictures. Yeah, pictures!

You hit the nail on the head! Great post and true! B/c society is so over-sexed and shameless about it, it creates a fake social status if x person runs around with y, z , a , b, and c people.....one guy I met bragged about his escapades to which I asked him if he felt shame and gave him the "you're a moron look" and he's a pastors kid yet indulges this fornication behavior....he wears it as a badge of courage/bravado...I think it's more of that person is loose and needs help.....

View attachment 159658 I just temporarily posted a pic of me in my avatar so's everyone can see the reals AuntieAnt. I'm not gonna leave it up because I feel much more comfortable (and safer) remaining anonymous on this site. Melita can testify that it's really & truly me.
I've had a few pics of me up over time but took them down for pretty much the same reason that you have stated. I'm not sure if I'll ever post any again.

I've known some women who could be brutal when talking about another woman's looks. If someone is really pretty, oh she's stuck up. If someone has average looks and has a boyfriend, oh wow what does he see in her? Most of that boils down to the persons own insecurities and jealously. I'm not sure if do this or not.
Some women are competitive by nature. I've noticed if someone is really pretty some women will look for a reason to try and discredit her in order to make her less appealing. Insecurity/low self esteem always seems to manage to rear it's ugly head. I've seen women change their avatar only to see other women try to one up the other with their pics. sad

True, I've heard even young women act like high schoolers and tear down other females just to make themselves feel better and they are 20'+ or 30+ and they still act like this....sad...
