Squat day yesterday.

Did 405 x5. Still had some left in the tank.

Just 2 months ago I failed at 405 x1.

I wonder if it was just some sort of mental block. Like I built it up so high in my head. I do that a lot. Make things more of a big deal than they really are...

Now lets see if I can build up the bench and the deadlift...

When I had a gym membership the hardest part was just getting there.

Once I talked myself into going the workout was always a good thing.

Now my 'gym' is downstairs and I have literally no excuses other than I just don't feel like it.

As some of you know, I am a fitness coach as well as a life coach. Fitness and being healthy is something I am very passionate about. I am already working with some people to push them to get to their goals.

I wanted to start this to see who else is into fitness? What are some things you do in order to get healthy? I'd love to hear your stories on here on how you wanted to get healthy. I want to hear all about your success stories as well :) I have lost 80 pounds!

Tell me all the stories.
I have been in to fitness seriously since middle school, especially in the weight lifting department, which I did not care about bodybuilding,or getting ripped, but I liked to try to be as strong as possible, but of course with safety precautions,as not to put to much stress on my body,as to avoid injury, and have no problems in the future.

But it has been off and on for years, but I am a regular workout person now,but what I like about lifting for strength, and not trying to be ripped is I have more time for myself, for I can lift once a week, and still get stronger, where getting ripped you have to hit it more, and I do not like getting ripped, for I feel I am more susceptible to get an injury,so I have the form, but not ripped, because I do not like it,but if you do not do steroids and are trying to get ripped, you will not get very big,but in the bulk up strength department with steroids, you can still get quite big.

But I do not dedicate the time to it like in the past, but it is still enough to get stronger, and I look at it as preventive maintenance,so not only will I function better now and physical activities are easier, but in the future my bones, and muscles, will still be strong, and I can still get around good.

But there is certainly a benefit to eating good, and exercising, and drinking a lot of water, because when you are older you do not look that age compared to people who did not take care of themselves so well.

1Ti 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
1Ti 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
1Ti 4:9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

When I was in school I exercised so much that it was ridiculous, but I had muscle endurance, and stamina, big time, that it was crazy, but I do not exercise to that extreme now,and I think about these scriptures, for exercising yourself unto godliness, far outweighs physical exercise,so no more dedicating myself a lot concerning it,but it is surely sufficient.

I finally worked out tonight. Yay! And here's proof! :p

This is on the treadmill at the gym near the end of a 2 mile jog @ 1:00am in the morning. (I know its not pretty :p)

Before this I did bench press, curls, shrugs and lat pulldowns.. its been a long time since I've had my shirt completely drenched front and back... but yes it feels good! Feels like..... victory! :D

And of course I had to wear my Rambo headband! Its hard to intimidate people with my 5 lb dumbell curls without it. :p
(I really use a little bit more than 5 lbs....)
