Yes, of course.
God is merciful. The law is not.
Neither is mercy.
just so!
in fact, the exact opposite!
Yahshua seems to disagree because He says the Law properly understood is to trat others as we want to be treated....
Mattithyah 7:12-14, "Therefore, all things you want men to do to you, do the same to them, for this is Law and the Prophets. Enter in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who go that way. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life, and few there are who find it."
Also John:
1 John 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yah, when we love Yah and guard His commands. For this is the love for Yah, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy."
1 John 5:2-3 (ESV), "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome."
1 John 5:2-3(NASB)
"2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome."
Seems love with His Instructions is not really love at all, but rather a made up version of love.
Which fit perfectly with what is said here:
Mat 22:36-40, "Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law? Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might (Deuteronomy 6:5). This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19:18). On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
