That is a shame, cannabis is not as harmless as people try to say it is.
And every state promoting it are actualy breaking the law by doing so.

Despite medical cannabis laws in states, cannabis is still illegal under federal law.
The federal government regulates drugs through the Controlled Substances Act
(CSA) (21 U.S.C. § 811)

Under the CSA, cannabis is classified as a Schedule I drug, which means that the
federal government views cannabis as highly addictive and having no medical value.
-

On November 8, voters in California, Maine, Massachusetts and Nevada legalized
recreational marijuana. These states joined Colorado, Washington, Oregon and
Alaska in approving the psychotropic drug for recreational use.

Voters in Florida, North Dakota, Montana and Arkansas cast a ballot to legalize marijuana for medical use only. Taken together, these new ballot measures mean that marijuana is now legal in some form in 28 states. Opponents of these legalization measures point out that such legalization is creating a popular perception that cannabis is good for your health.

A Gallup poll from October shows that 60 percent of Americans now favor legalizing marijuana,
despite evidence that the plant contains more than 400 known chemicals, many of which are toxic to the human body.

The amount of tar and carbon monoxide inhaled by those who smoke marijuana is respectively three and five times greater than that inhaled by tobacco smokers, regardless of tetrahydrocannabinol content. And unlike alcohol, in which ethanol is eliminated within a few hours, marijuana residues can stay in the body for weeks. Marijuana use can also seriously damage respiratory and cardiovascular health, causing chronic coughing, wheezing and bronchitis. Smoking a relatively small amount of marijuana has a similar impact to smoking five to seven times the amount in cigarettes, one after another.

Numerous studies prove that smoking anything is harmful to our lungs.

-

God says we should glorify Him in our bodies: “Do you not know that your body is a temple
of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; you were
bought with a price. So glorify God in your body” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

We are watching marijuana change from a counterculture banned substance
into a mainstream recreational aid.
I agree with you up to a point. Cigarettes should not be illegal just because they are harmful to your health. Neither should whiskey. Personally, I don't smoke (cigarettes or weed) and rarely drink. But, just because people abuse alcohol should not make it illegal. The solution, as management professionals know, at least those who know how to motivate people, is not negative reinforcement. Laws against texting and driving, no matter how high the fines, or how severe the sentences, does absolutely nothing to stop texting and driving.

Marijuana, in my opinion, especially those who use it excessively, from my own experience knowing and working with people who smoke weed, appears to impair peoples social skills, progressively, until they become socially clueless and almost useless as employees, making mistakes on the job that interfere with a business and make the lives of other employees miserable at times, who have to cover for their stoned employees mistakes. It obviously impairs driving safety.

I've seen young people reduced to total laziness without any incentive to move out of their parents homes and get an education or a job by smoking weed. But, that doesn't mean that the answer is the government intruding into parents lives and the general public.

Many of the controlled substances classifications are so outdated and obsolete that they do not even reflect reality or scientific data. Many drugs produced by drug companies that are dangerous (the sleep aid "zolpidem" (generic), a drug that can cause altered states of consciousness including "sleep-driving" or waking up and driving a car in your sleep, is not even classified by the government as a "controlled substance," even though it is far more dangerous than "lorazepam," or "alprazolam" for instance (mild tranquilizers). But, you can go to jail for mishandling these "dangerous" controlled substances, and certainly for driving in your sleep and running someone down.

How many people's lives have been devastated by minor marijuana offenses from the failed republican "war on drugs," of the 1980's? And now the government has to say: "We're really sorry for putting you in jail for 10 years--let's just forget about it...it's legal now anyway; we changed our minds."

No amount of jail time, and no matter how severe, has reduced drug crimes. This is why police chief Companello of Massachusetts stated that,

"THE WAR ON DRUGS IS OVER; AND WE LOST." --Massachusetts police chief, Companello, who now favors treatment over incarceration.

Indeed, incarcerating people whose lives have already been devastated by addictions, often due to childhood abuse, followed by a lifetime of misery, clearly amounts to "cruel and unusual punishment," for a modern, civilized society. This is why police chief Companello favors treatment.

This is why the wrath of God is coming upon those who have destroyed the lives of these suffering individuals, including politicians who establish the laws, and citizens who allow these "concentration camps for the poor," to continue to exist. This is why I believe that justice reform is ordained by God, who has said, "The LORD does not despise those who are imprisoned," (iron prisons or spiritual prisons) who proclaimed in Nazareth,

"I have come to announce freedom to all who are imprisoned upon the earth."
(Luke 4:18)

"The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors, and that the time of the Lord's favor has come." --Jesus of Nazareth, at Nazareth (Luke 4:18-19--NLT)

"Pay attention, O Israel, [and New Israel--all true Christians] (brackets added), for you are my servant. I, the LORD, made you, and I will not forget to help you. I have swept away your sins like the morning mists. I have scattered your offenses like the clouds. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free." (Isaiah 45:21--written some 3,000 years ago before Jesus was born);

Good, because it's as ridiculous as your diatribe.
Do you represent racist Mormons in Utah? Or just all racists in Utah? I hope not... Most Mormons are nice people, even though they are deceived, and used to not allow African-American people into their church as being ordained by God.

So you approve of young African-American women being dragged out of their car, and physically assaulted out of camera range, and then cast into a jail cell in solitary confinement, causing her death within 72 hours? All over a turn signal violation? Just diatribe? Probably 99 percent of police officers would agree that that situation was not de-escalated as it should have been and the officer was rightly dismissed. If I remember correctly, Texas state officials (white and black) who viewed the incident described it as "disturbing."

As always, what must be said, this does not justify anyone taking revenge on officers of the law, or any legitimate authorities of the state, who the Bible states should be respected as an extension of God's authority.

I agree in theory with President Donald Trump that those who deliberately and methodically target or ambush police officers should possibly face the death penalty. Although I don't generally support the death penalty since it too is "cruel and unusual punishment," and can, and has, lead to the deaths of innocent citizens.

1 Corinthians 15:52 KJV:
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Sandra Bland is dead because she hung herself with a bed sheet.

Putting someone to death for murder is not cruel nor unusual in the United States. I know this because when the 8th ammendment was ratified, death was an acceptable punishment for larceny.

I NEVER date a girl who carries a gun.

It's only a matter of time before I say something really stupid.

Breaking News:
Man gunned down today at Frozen Yogurt shop.
As his girlfriend was hauled away in cuffs, she said,
"I told him he wasn't funny, but he just kept goin."

sounds like my ex-wife...
sorry, I'll be good. We had some good times.
And she laughed at my jokes and thought I was funny most of the time.
So, I guess I'm ok...

That is such obsolete, uncompassionate, ultra-conservative bs. When was the 8th amendment ratified? 200 years ago? It is cruel and unusual punishment for many reasons. Just ask the people who have been put to death who were innocent. The government, or anyone else who thinks they have money and power, could put together a sophisticated scheme to put YOU at the scene of a crime, and YOU could be executed, or imprisoned for life, or you might find yourself at the wrong place and the wrong time, like the innocent accountant portrayed in the movie, "SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION," based on a true story if I'm not mistaken. It showed how the lifeless, dark, corrupt, isolated world of a prison corrupted a warden to the point where he became a murderer in the end.

Was Sandra Bland executed, or received the "death penalty by default," because she was a murderer? No, it was because she failed to use a turn signal to change lanes.

If you have a problem with the constitution and it's age, then ammend it. The idea that the constitution can be reinterpreted to fit modern ideals is such ultra-leftist BS.

I don't know when a Stephen King novella and movie adaptation became a matter of fact and public record. It is a work of fiction.

Sandra Bland died at her own hand.

Because people should totally go to jail for not putting out a cigarette
I have tried to explain this before. If a person is acting in a way that makes you suspicious, and then, when you are commanding said person to stop whatever he or she is doing, then my gut feeling tells me to dig a little deeper. It has nothing to do with the cigarette. It's the attitude that raises a red flag.

Omar Mateen who was a known Islamic radicalism was able to legally purchase an assault rifle
with which he killed 80 people, this country clearly has a problem with gun violence.
Omar Mateen, A man affiliated with the Islamic State murdered 49 people and injuring 53

This mass shooting was a direct result of government officials turning a blind eye to Islamic extremism.

Has the Islamic State Infiltrated U.S. Homeland Security?

The Obama administration has proved it has no problem giving away firearms to violent
drug cartel operatives. Another Judicial Watch report from May reveals that the death toll
from President Obama’s notorious Fast and Furious covert program to gift assault weapons
to Mexican drug cartels now stands at 200, after another 69 deaths were recently reported.

It’s starting to look like the government is fine with giving assault weapons to drug cartel
operatives and agents of the Islamic State as long as law-abiding citizens are denied them.

"I have come to announce freedom to all who are imprisoned upon the earth."
(Luke 4:18)
Jesus also said

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth:
I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh
be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up,
and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
-

The second coming is in actuality a continuation of the first.

Luk 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.
And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me
to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luk 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luk 4:20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down.
And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

He stop reading just there, close the book, and sit down?

Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me
to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,

And here is where He stopped reading in mid sentence.
Now the passage He quoted continues...

and [the day of vengeance] of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty
for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD,
that he might be glorified.

Isa 61:4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations,
and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
Isa 61:5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall
be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
Isa 61:6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers
of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

Isa 61:7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their
portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

He came the first time to complete Isa 61:1-2 but not all of verse 2.
When He returns, He will complete verse 2 and forward through verse 7.

That is exactly the level of intelligence I've come to expect from the left.. (little to none with a generous helping of immaturity mixed in...)

Of course they will respond by saying that its the trump supporters are the dumb ones.... *sigh* its like arguing with a bratty 10 yr old.. (and I apologize to all the bratty 10 yr olds out there)

Didn't you just say yesterday that you had to depend on people like Trump (people with money who are generous to hundreds of others) to feed you for Thanksgiving? And you assume the Entitlement Arrogance and audacity to post a picture like this?
