AGAIN...for the 9865745th time.....not one person that I know of on this site who believes in eternal security, salvation dia grace and faith have EVER said it is ok to live a lifestyle of sin...EVER....
dc - you want to walk righteously, as unto Christs way, and that is your hearts desire.
Amen. So do I.
I have never expected anything else from any follower of Jesus. What I did not expect
was you are a works salvationist, trying to earn your way to heaven.
If you go to a party and the dress code is white you do not turn up dirty.
If our whole ethos, way of walking, talking and being is loving and encouraging one another
to praise the Lord and good works, then anything that helps the things that hinder us, is
a good thing. Why I would be regarded as an enemy, beats me.
And if I, who am laid back, non-aggressive and a sharer of how things look to me, am terrible,
what about the more timid and less well prepared? This is where I wonder who are these great
saints trying to put right.
Back in the 70's when the charismatic movement was just starting off, there were always guys
who stood up and said, I am perfect, the Holy Spirit has baptised me and I am not going to sin
any more. They never lasted long. But this is vastly different from saying sin does not matter,
if I get angry, behave inappropriately this is not wrong, it is just who I am.
This is where most commited believers question this strident, you are pharisees, we are totally
free and answerable to no one. All Christs commands are just about condemnation and failure
and no believer needs to be concerned about them.
If I did not follow Christ, and know what discipleship was, I would just say ok. But this is completely
against what my life grew on, the love that was established in me and Jesus's words.
So we have good reason to question these super saints who condemn and depose faith from simple
believers of Christs words.
