I did not say anything about you.

I answered the question Originally Posted by PeterJens "Why is it on a forum web site, with believers who continually declare good works are the

and my answer was 'because of the odd bods who teach otherwise'.

if you choose to be one of those odd bods it is up to you
Thanks. So you have mistaken me in the past, but not now, good to
know. lol. It does not matter, share as you feel led. By the way I
quickly forget negative interactions, the Lord is too glorious and graceful
to do otherwise

you are not blamed for sinning. You are blamed for claiming to be able to keep from sin for weeks at a time, which is simply untrue.
I am watching for you to wriggle like a snake when you answer with your usual half truths
So I am like a snake, speaking half truths.
I did not know you were my judge.

The walk of love and life is about these two things, and sin normally means
a lack of love and things that end in death.

And we are to encourage one another by talking about our defeats and failures
and boasting how quickly we fail and by how much.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

You know it really does not make my day to feel condemned,
put alongside being a snake and lying. And about nothing tangible.

Must be something wrong in the communication of this approach

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.
Col 2:2

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

I go without using profanity for months at a time...that is not me doing it.

Let me guess you are just a woe and poe sinner saved by grace that has no power or authority over SIN....The greatest sin one can commit is claiming they are God's child and believe in Jesus and then deny him by saying they are still a sinner after the have become new creations.

Jesus said if you deny me, I will deny you...Stating you are still a sinner when you have become a saint is what Jesus was saying here and in spades.

Show me anywhere in Paul's writing that after conversation he called anyone a Sinner....you will go directly to Romans 7 here and that is Paul's self analysis pre-conversion.

If you claim to be a new creation and also sinner saved by grace then you need to get saved....this is just 2 dogs fighting for complete control and not found anywhere in the Bible. Put to death the old dog or put to death the new dog...either way there can only be 1 dog.

The problem comes from not having a redeemed body as of yet. The soul is saved and spiritually circumcised from the body of flesh, but we still dwell in this body of flesh which has not been changed and redeemed.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Notice the body is not in Christ but the inner man. Our inner man is a new creature, born again. All things about my soul have been made new. I was guilty. I was considered a sinner. I was not justified. I was an enemy of Christ. I was in Adam. But when salvation came, I am now not guilty. I am sinless. I am justified. I am a co-heir with Christ. I am in Christ.

I liked most of you post, why did you have to include this statement?

"
What fascinates me is this hatred of anything related to doing good for any reason. "

What fascinates me is you always find evil in others.

Who here is against doing good works?

Many are against doing good works to earn salvation, even you are, but I have yet to see a poster who has a hatred for good works as you accuse folks of.
What fascinates me is you always critique PJ's statements to look for flaws to expose.

You know what else fascinates me? your ability to completely overlook a bunch folks that are always slamming those that don't believe OSAS/Hyp******e & saying they don't have a relationship with Christ.

You ain't fooling nobody with that "can't we all get along?" act. You're one of them.

at every opportunity lol :rolleyes::cool::(
Beeecause..... on CC if you don't believe in OSAS or Hyp******e, you're not saved, & don't have a relationship with Christ.

I think you are missing the important difference between sinning and being trapped in sin.

They are 2 different things.

Born again Christians sin sometimes because they are not perfect, yet. But they are not trapped in that sin. They know when they have sinned and they know that they are, and how to be, forgiven.

If you claim that you have no sin the truth is not in you.

Because there is a voice that would like to think itself more powerful than God.

With God anything is possible, even those things we think will never happen: like someone truly understanding the gospel message.
So much for your neutral stance.

Beeecause..... on CC if you don't believe in OSAS or Hyp******e, you're not saved, & don't have a relationship with Christ.
Is this what they mean by calling people wolves, anti christ, carnal christians, walking
in the flesh, preaching a gospel that leads to hell, leading believers astray, dooming them,
needing to repent and accept Christ.

No all these phrases show the respect and integrity they really hold us in, except for the
liars, snake, half truths, deceivers, the biggest evil that has happened to the church.

No we are brothers and sisters in Christ, except for when they get angry and have a little
strop on the side and let the guard down, lol. Makes you wonder what Lord have they found?

Grace is much more than the one singular event or definition you guys are trying to force it into.

I am saying that trying to separate grace, truth or faith from Christ is futile as they all originate in Christ's finished work. When we hear of Him - we have grace, truth and faith come to us automatically. We must respond to it in order for us to experience this in our lives.

I believe grace is the unmerited favor of God towards us which means we can't do anything to receive it or earn it. It is also the empowering presence of Christ Himself that influencing our hearts to walk in who we are in Christ as a new creation.

As we received Christ - so we walk in Him. We live now the whole Christian life the exact same way we got saved. By grace through faith alone in Christ's finished work on the cross and resurrection. We need to accurately hear the word of His grace in order to have grace, truth and faith work in our hearts like it was meant to. We hear accurately when Christ Himself is preached and taught.

That's pretty vague. What exactly does "whoever" not get? I don't really care about the name, but what is the correction for whatever "thing" that they don't get? I'd like to know exactly what false teaching you are referring to.
Ha ha, funny.

What would be the point? More arguing? Twisting and "interpreting" everything away?

Never gonna get it... no never gonna get it...

Its really simple. Come to Christ and receive rest. If you know, then you know. If not, then you argue and fight. Trying to turn Christianity into something that is not Christianity. See Acts 15, the whole book of Galatians, Ephesians etc

It was probably a mistake to say what I said in the way I said it.

People are truly trapped in wrong thinking and the only way out is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Gee, I just caught you in your second lie today. I seem to remember you saying earlier that christians are led & empowered by the Spirit of God!

That's when I caught you the first time today saying "grace does everything".

Now, here you are again, saying "grace empowers us", and grace is the empowering presence of Christ Himself!

That's idolatry, making grace a god!

This is so true, and funnily enough the same thing those who relentlessly argue against you say! It is puzzling that they cannot see their own error when it comes to this point.

I go without using profanity for months at a time...that is not me doing it.
LOL and you call that living without sin?

Let me guess you are just a woe and poe sinner saved by grace that has no power or authority over SIN...
well you guess wrong. I have authority over certain more obvious sins, just not over all sin. But you are right on this, I am a sinner saved by the grace of God, and the love and work of our Lord Jesus Christ,.

.
The greatest sin one can commit is claiming they are God's child and believe in Jesus and then deny him by saying they are still a sinner after the have become new creations.
well it depends on what you mean by a sinner?

Jesus said if you deny me, I will deny you...Stating you are still a sinner when you have become a saint is what Jesus was saying here and in spades.
so you condemn John and Charles Wesley , John Newton, Augustus Toplady, and all the other hymn writers who spoke of their continual sinfulness and His unfailing love in making them 'saints' despite it?

Show me anywhere in Paul's writing that after conversation he called anyone a Sinner....you will go directly to Romans 7 here and that is Paul's self analysis pre-conversion
.

Try 'I am the chief of sinners' LOL

If you claim to be a new creation and also sinner saved by grace then you need to get saved....this is just 2 dogs fighting for complete control and not found anywhere in the Bible. Put to death the old dog or put to death the new dog...either way there can only be 1 dog.
Poor Paul. He knew both in himself.

But you are obviously new to the Scriptures. When you learn a bit more you will, know better.

faith is grace!?!?!? Oh really....if that is true then you are saying that everyone that had relationship with God before Grace was realized by Jesus Christ was covered by grace...Your whole rebuttal is refuted by John 1.17 and Hebrews 11 and 12.

You see no rain, because you want it simply handed to you....

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

Start searching and stop defending...
No I said that we receive faith as a result of the grace of God.

Perhaps you should listen to your advice "start searching and stop defending"

The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of grace. Heb. 10:29 And it is the Holy Spirit that transforms us as we behold the glory/goodness of the Lord as in a mirror. 2 Cor. 3:17-18

I'm pretty sure that they are the same.
