Hmmm....I thought it was "our righteousness is as filthy rags". We're covered by the righteousness of Jesus Christ, when we believe Him, and obey Him.
But, otherwise:
We're judged on our works, not on our faith, as the Apostle Paul states:
1 Cor. 3:9-15 Vs. 9 "For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
Vs. 10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
Vs. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Vs. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Vs. 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
Vs. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
Vs. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."
Rev. 14:13 "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, "Write, 'Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.'"(KJV)
Rev. 19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready." Vs. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints."
What is "righteousness"? Righteousness can be described as "doing what's right", the right acts, or works performed in service to Christ.
Therefore, our righteous acts, and works done in service to Christ, make up our apparel in Heaven, the fine linen robes granted to us. We're judged on our works, but not on our faith, for we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ.
