Aw... Don't be too hard on yourself, Rose. Plus, you're a new Christian, right?
We're all built for different things and have a different style. I also heard a sermon several years ago that changed the way I looked at evangelism forever: the pastor said, "You are not called to everyone."
My style of evangelism is very different than my friends. I have one friend who LOVES door-to-door and public witnessing... and I can't get into that at all.
I tend to be a "friendship evangelist"--I ask God to point me to a few people I have regular contact with, get to know them after a long time (so I have an idea of who they, their kids, and their families really are), and then invite them to church or just to talk about their lives, etc. I've met some Christians that think this doesn't count
, but I feel it's what God calls me to do and I'm at peace with it. 
You'll find your own style, Rose--it definitely takes time, and I'm sure that from your posts, you're already reaching out to many people here.

You made a post in the Bible Discussion Forum yesterday that had me laughing so much that even hours later, I'd still chuckle over it.
Making people laugh in the BDF???!!!

* What are some things you know you're notoriously bad at?
First impressions, anything athletic beyond lifting weights, anything requiring good hand-eye coordination, understanding the sense of humor of other people, properly reading body language, baking, electrical work, probably lots more I can't think of right now.
* Have you given up on them, or do you still keep trying? Why or why not?
Pretty much given up. With people especially, it's just too frustrating to try...and fail...over, and over, and over. I'd rather just be a hermit.
* What other things are you interested in that you suspect you might not be so good at, but you'll still try them anyway?
Gardening - it's going alright so far, but I'm not known for a green thumb. I'd LOVE to try tinkering with an old VW to hot-rod it and think I could probably handle most of the work, but maybe not...and then I'd have a big jigsaw puzzle. I'd also like to try martial arts someday - I can scrap in a street fight, but it isn't refined or disciplined.

Your generation is used to typing. Penmanship isn't, nor ever was, a focus in your schooling. Don't be hard on yourself. Be hard on people of my generation and the one above mine who have bad handwriting - there is NO excuse for that.
True story--I was talking to a woman who is a realtor and not much older than me, probably 47.
She told me about a deal she'd recently closed with a couple in their mid 20's who were buying their first home--and they were terrified when they saw that the paperwork called for them to provide their "signature" on several of the pages.
Neither one had ever learned to write in cursive, and seeing this requirement made them totally freeze up. All they'd ever learned was printing and typing... and so the woman had to have them print their names on every line that asked for a "signature."
You know they dont teach cursive in schools anymore right? Thats just sad. I know it, but others wont. And thus they will have to be like that lady...
I had heard that they were debating over whether or not to teach cursive anymore, but I didn't know how widespread it was, or when it started, so I was surprised to hear that people who were 25 and 27 had been affected.
It's so strange to me... (Waaaayyyyy) back when I was in school, completing cursive was considered one of the pinnacle moments of our education... and now it's gone the way of cassette tapes, VCR's, and... the dinosaurs.
I am terrible with "right" and "left". If it weren't for the trick of your index finger and thumb to make an L-shape on your left-hand - I would be so lost (literately and figuratively)! Recently, friends introduced me to a game called, "LeftCenterRight", and we spent most of the game laughing at my constant need to look at my hands!
Oh, and for friends who have a terrible time with plants, try African violets; they are remarkably forgiving plants and are really pretty!

)The left hand makes sense to me because I can see the "L" that way... but I actually have to put some thought into how the OTHER person will see the "L".
I never claimed to be the brightest bulb in the bunch. 2. I had an African violet about 2 years ago... It didn't make it.
I'm pretty sure all the plants in the store are cowering anytime I stop to take a look... because they're all trying to yell, "NOT ME!!"

I know, right? I always have to stop think about it too!
As for the plants, the African violets are the only thing that I can keep alive, so don't feel too bad.
1. Throwing a spiral football. I can never get it to spiral, atleast not on a consistent basis.
2. Dating. Ladies, for some reason, just aren't attracted to me. Don't know why. I've got to know a lot of ladies over the years (some on dating sites) and it never leads to anything.
