Repent therefore and turn again that your sins may be blotted out that times of refreshing
may come from the presence of the Lord and that he may send the Christ appointed for you
Jesus whom heaven must receive until the time of establishing all that God spoke of by the
mouth of his Holy Prophets from of old
Acts 3:19
From this we see that Christ had to remain in Heaven until everything God spoke about
through the Prophets was established. This must include the events of the Tribulation
because God spoke about it through the Prophets and through Jesus himself.
Jesus said immediately after the tribulation the Son of man will come in power and great
glory. Matt24:30
Apart from his first coming how many times does it say that Christ will leave heaven before
everything spoken by God through the Prophets is established? The answer is once. If its once
how come Pre Tribbers expect him to leave heaven twice, once to collect them and a second time to
bring them back?
That would be three times counting the first coming down out of the clouds clothing himself with corruptible flesh typified as sinful. Those who look to the thousands years in that parable as a unknown number… that makes up the phrase last days in Revelation 20 say once.(or at least today)
My two cents as to how I see that today. Christ the anointing, teacher, comforter and guide as the authority or power of the Holy Spirit , only promised to come once in the flesh..
It is finished the promised demonstration of the invisible work of pouring out His Spirit as if it was blood has come to a end .He is the lamb of God slain for the sins of his children from the very foundation of the world . There is no other demonstration as an encore promised.
.God is not a man as us .and neither is there any fleshly infallible umpire here on earth to judge between God and man .(Job 9:32-33)
God as Eternal Supernatural Spirit remains without mother or father beginning of days or end of Spirit life .
I would suggest it is God with us and not God is one of us.(Emanuel)
2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
No mention of coming again in the flesh . I would think the message he did leave still applies.
2Co 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet
now henceforth know we him
