Bill lets look at Gen 1:1....What do you see...???? "ʼĕlôhîym" 'GOD'...a Hebrew Plural form of the root word "'elowahh". A plural word yet the equivalent word in English is GOD (singular). An Error?????? what about the next word in the scripture.
Bara' from the root word (LHBRYAKM) meaning "to make". It is a plural verb. YET the English Word "created" both a singlular and plural verb. By that I mean that He Created (singular) and They Created (plural). Here in Gen 1:1 Created is singular.
A Plural Noun and a Singular verb....To the untrained eye, one does not see but the error is there and it means exactly what GOD intended it to..
To Make and to Create are three different things in my mind...not sure about yours. Another Error?????
Hebrew and Koinonia Greek (Septuegint LXX) and the Greek language during the time of the NT. all had a far more precise language that could express just exactly what God meant. English can not do that without some errors occurring.
Having said all of this,, The 1% I spoke of was to bring a light on the KJV that while it was written using the Masoretic text, Septuagint, Textus Receptus, etc. there were still errors that would make one look to the previously mentioned text for clarification.
Note: I did not specify what type of errors were contained within.
Many of the other versions were taken from the Alexandria texts, etc. that have been proven to be falsified scripts.
Also there are some versions that use "PC" politically Correct" words or Non-words.
As I stated before , I have some problems with them and am therefore a hard core KJV person. If you wish to discuss an individual version.....we can do that...Your Call,,,,
NOTE: While I know there are several errors like those I spoke along with other errors that require one to seek further clarification in the originals text, manuscripts. This, I have come to believe was in the design by God Himself.
In Proverbs 25:2.."God tells us " It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter."
For those who are part of the "Body of Christ" (the Church), Jesus tells us we are to be Kings and Priest. In the OT Prov. 25:2 God tells us that Kings search the Bible for things that HE concealed. Interesting??????NO?
Yes, there are errors of all sorts, put there by GOD...... that is what I believe.
People need the WORDs of GOD that they can count on telling them like it is. For to believe in Jesus is to Believe in all of HIM which includes HIS word. In my opinion the KJV rises to the occasion.
If you want to continue trashing the WORDs of GOD, that is your burden to carry. I on the other hand not help you carry it anymore.
Have a Blessed Day Bill.....
