Is astral projection travelling in the Spirit… and are we suppose to do it?

Sounds very interesting. Don't worry. I won't swap my spirit either. The mere thought about it sounds dangerous. Besides I still believe one's spirit should remain in the body while traveling through the spirit.

I agree. God wants us whole, not separated from ourselves. He gave us physical eyes to see the physical world and when we are born again we open our spiritual eyes to see the spiritual world. Our spirit dont need to go no where to do that. Things of the spirit are vast and deep compared to the natural, hence Johns description in Revelation " I do not know". If he was astral projecting you would read the words " I left my body, I could see it as I left it behind". Those that Astral KNOW they have left their body. This poor guy was trying to explain an experience he couldnt find the words. Ive had visions where Ive said to the Lord " are you kidding me!!! How am I suppose to find the words to share that???!!!!"

Besides, if a person leaves their body, the body is then left without a spirit....isnt that what you call a zombie?

Nathan3 please do yourself a favour and read the rest. And then do not compare mediums with walking in the Spirit. The two ain't even closely related.

God already God us the word. And Medium means a person claiming to be in contact with the spirits of the dead and to communicate between the dead and the living. That is the end result of those kinds of things. -( That is from the Oxford Dictionaries. )

And what reason would they be doing that ? For some new" thing from God ? Well, there isn't . God gave us His Word. that is where we get truth from. Not mediums, or tossing your spirit into empty space.

WordGuardian I just share part of my thoughts on spiritual things and what I did read in the bible.

Seeking God instead of gifts
I think in the bible there is a way mentioned to get more of the Spirit. It is never us trying to get it by courses or books. Books about gifts can inspire us but getting the gifts is only through the Lord of the gifts. Just kneeling an praying to Him. And in de bible is mentioned to yearn for more of gifts but the bible states clear that we do that to edify our believe and that of others. To get a clearer focus on Gods will and not just to pursue more spiritual stuff. For example the gift of discernment learns us what is not good in Gods eyes an this gift is not given to get familiar with the spirits and demons that are guardian angels or appear like fairies etc.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him Heb 11:5,6

A gift or Spiritual miracle is never our transpiration it is through a humble heart before God that we get more of Him. In Him and through Him we find the best things in life, the clearest vision on life, future and supernatural stuff. Paul clearly states that we can be very spiritual and have gifts, signs and knowledge and still be nothing in Gods eyes.

Now concerning spiritual gifts, bretheren, I would not have you ignorant. 1 Cor 12:1

Walking in the Spirit
Walking in the Spirit is living by His values, not walking in a literally supernatural world:That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Rom 8:4,5


Wrong reasons
When we pursue gifts or miracles for the wrong reasons bad things will happen.
And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. What is the spiritual world.
The spiritual world is totally different than ours. An example is the appearance of Jesus after His resurrection.
After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. Mark 16:12

We are bound to earthly rules with our bodies, minds and eyes unless God allows us understanding or vision of the supernatural world. Part of our understanding comes through what God has already written about it in His word. To understand what is evil or not we learn discernment through His word it is sword we use in spiritual battles. Eph 6:17 In this supernatural world we find heaven, and hell, the people whom are already dead, there are demons, angels of God and God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. This supernatural world is like a 'fourth dimension'. We only will understand this dimension in the right way if we are going to God that is the only right source. Isa. 8:19

Kingdom of God
Being born again means that God gives us a new heart a new way of living and seeing through His Holy Spirit. This Spirit is in us, and He opens our eyes for knowing the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is both an actual place as a Spiritual “state of mind”. It is Gods place, Gods way of thinking. What I earlier called the 'fourth dimension' is the total supernatural world, also the powers of darkness, satans work etc. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph 6:12 When we get the Spirit we learn/understand Gods spiritual things.

And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Luke 8:10

Our spiritual understanding
Our spiritual understanding is not perfect because we still live on this earth in a world of sin and struggle with our flesh and battlw evil spirits. But we renew our minds and therefore be transformed. Not to a picture we have in mind of ourselves or a picture what we think is spiritual a high level. But we are renewed to what God's will is for our lives.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matt 26:41

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known 1 Cor. 13:12

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. My short conclusion
Is there still a possibility that God takes a person out of his/her body? Yes
Is this the same as walking in the Spirit? No
Is it biblical to pursue to travel/get out of our body? No
Can we pursue more of His Spirit? Yes

Well said Inge and well spoken. Not that I agree with you completely. But certainly some valid and important points to consider. For one cannot operate in the spirit if one does not live according to the laws of the spirit. And one should certainly not pursue power but a deeper relationship and understanding of the Almighty. Which is also why I am on this quest. For it became clear to me that the Kingdom of God is as you say in the one hand a way of living. but on the other hand an actual dimension. For it becomes clearer and clearer the more one reads the Bible that Jesus constantly spoke of His Kingdom. Yet He did not mention it as if one reaches it at the time when one goes to sleep. Instead He urges us to seek for it first. I certainly don't think He meant we should commit suicide.

This is in the beginning and end of the Lord's prayer. Why?
The answer is actually simple if you take what is asked literally. If you were to ask God's kingdom to come. And therefore enter the spiritual kingdom... then you are in Him and He is in you and you can ask whatever you want for you are in His kingdom and can obtain it. Then after everything is said and done, you leave the Kingdom.

I think you should try to stay away from anyone and anything to do with it. If God wants to take you on a journey he will, but otherwise the Demonic is full of these demons who can do those things. For them it is a way to tempt you to go to the dark side. Hey join with us and you can fly here and there and spy on whoever you want to... just give us your soul first. Your soul is supposed to be in your body here on earth until you die and then it is supposed to be separated out from your body, appear to get judged and sent to its final resting place.

Sorcery, Occult, Witchcraft, etc... all these make claims to be able to travel out of body but we are never to go near it or them.

I have thought about it, maybe you mean the same as I, but I like to emphasis it again: we receive the Spirit. There are no verses in the bible mentioning “operate in the Spirit”. And when we receive the Spirit we covet for more of the gifts of the Spirit and walk in His ways. The only way to receive is by decrease. We need a receiving attitude, not a working attitude.

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 7:38,39
He must increase, but I must decrease John 3:30

The kingdom
You are right about Jesus mentioning the Kingdom so often. For example take the parables.

His Kingdom is Gods world.

• a literal Kingdom on earth. A new earth and new heaven. 2 Peter 3:13
• a spiritual Kingdom - in the heart John 3:3 - a Kingdom of heaven Math 13

Literal Kingdom
The literal Kingdom comes when the world as we know comes to an end. Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear Hebr. 12:26-28

Kingdom of the Spirit.
We enter His Kingdom of the Spirit when we are born of the Spirit. We can only see this Kingdom when we are born of the Spirit. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit Joh3:3,5,6

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. Math 13:19
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom Math 13:38

Kingdom of heaven
We let Gods Kingdom grow by bringing others the good news, bringing the Kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind Math 13:47 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Math 18:4

What about entering and coming?
Are we entering His Kingdom? Yes as soon as we are born again.
Are we in His Kingdom? Yes in His Spiritual Kingdom
Will His Kingdom come? Yes His literal Kingdom but also the Kingdom in the way of the Good News. (Kingdom of heaven)

So why Jesus mentions this: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. That can be both the literal Kingdom as the Kingdom of heaven coming. God is in us, He is always there. But we still come in His pressence more when we pray or offer Him praise. Gods Kingdom is here because God is in us. But God Kingdoms is coming more when we pray for it.

1. There is no demon called astral. It doesnt exist. I googled it.

On the astral, You know when you are in the presence of dark entities because its obvious but, if you are protected by the Holy Spirit they can not touch you or come near you. all self proclaimed Christians that study their bibles but do not even understand the living word. i promise you, in the after life, there isnt going to be a test for all the scripture you memorized. This may actually be your test and if you reject it you would be failing the test. i dont think God will be impressed if you show up at the pearly gates and tell God you stayed away from all things related to spirit because you knew it was a sin. LOL What do you think the holy spirit is if not a spirit???? But let me guess. you dont experience God in that way right? the holy spirit is just an idea for you? not a physical energy you feel inside of you, working through you, using you for the will of God? and you claim to be Christian ??? its the ones who have no God, no love and no light who end up in the lower astral plane where the bad spirits are. You shouldnt astral project unless you can raise the vibrational frequency of your soul to a level above that. Those bad entities can not go up to that part of the astral. only spirits who manifest unconditional love and surrender of ego are allowed to the higher astral planes. You have to be like Jesus to go to the higher astral plane. Jesus teaches people how to live and die on earth in a way that raises your vibrational energy so that you will transcend hell and death and ascend above it to be with God. When people say Christ died for your sins they do not mean the act of dying for you saved you. it means his life and everything he did was a written document showing you how to save yourself !!!! and most christians wont be saved because they refuse to do the spiritual work required to have enternal life. they think just believing in Jesus is enough. No what it says is no one gets to God except through Jesus. Which means if you want to be with God you have to be like Jesus and raise your vibrational energy so that when you die you wont end up in purgatory fighting your own shadows with hate and judgement in your heart against others. i would literally get on my knees and plead for you all to reconsider if i thought it would make a difference but i know it wont.

For the person saying a body without a spirit is dead, thats not how astral projection works. its not much different from dreaming. is your body dead when you are dreaming? no? then youre arguement is completely bogus. no astral projection and dreaming are not the same but they are similiar in that they work off the same mechanism so please think before you post.


4. when i had a NDE in childbirth, thats when i developed the ability to astral project. and during my NDE i spoke to a real angel who helped me get back inside my body !!! so now you are going to say it wasnt an angel i talked to? it was. that angel taught me unconditional love because it gave me a choice to go to heaven or go back to my body and raise my daughter. i was told it was my choice. and i chose to come back because of my love for my unborn child. is that the work of the devil too? its not !!!!


5.Yes the secret things belong to God. But, this isnt a secret thing to anyone except close minded, superstitious, paranoid pseudo-christians that are so locked into this world and its sin and flesh that they cant what is right infront of their eyes. it said Satan would blind the world and he has. oh he really has.

God has many spiritual gifts and like many of them they can be corrupted by Satan if the Holy Spirit isnt using you. if you cant trust yourself in your relationship with God to be strong enough to endure a test of that nature then by all means, change nothing. But, i am FILLED with the holy spirit working in my life and i have been an astral projector for 20 years. the fruits of Gods work are imprinted all over my life.

Your eternal soul may depend on it. You may want to give your answer more thought to the question of astral projection and what it actually means to be filled with the Holy Spirit. its quite possible everything youve been taught to believe is a lie and you are actually doing the dark one's work by putting fear into people over this. Do you want to be responsible for leading others to damnation buy telling them to avoid doing something they do every night involuntarily every time they fall asleep? Do you think our Lord would allow us to dream if it was a sin? When you judge things you dont know and label it witchcraft and the like, it makes me feel so incredibly sad for you. When you get to the otherside, if you are allowed in heaven, i promise not to say i told you so.

The Astral plane is a realm that images are use as a form of communication like the image in Daniel's dream. Was John the one who written the Book of Revelation were in the Astral Plane where He has received revelation from God?
