I lost my temper with my father this morning. I guess I had enough of his griping and his passive-aggressive comments about my lack of "man skills" to fix the junk around this house, so he got to see a particularly unpleasant side of me full of very colorful language.

When you do a lot for someone and they don't appreciate it and talk down to you it's VERY hard not to go off on them. I deal with that a lot with my job and there are days I want to punch a hole in the wall out of frustration. Thankfully I just picked up a punching bag at a yard sale for $10.

I'm still stewing over what went down this morning. If either of my sisters were near and not 1000 miles away, they'd get the joy of taking care of their father and I'd be out of this house tonight. I'm well past tired of dealing with this grumpy old bastard, and well past tired of hearing all his deriding comments, listening to his football games turned up to rock concert volume, listening to him complain about every single thing I do or meal I cook or anything else.

If it makes you feel better today i learned that you can’t keep anyone with you even if you’re getting married tommorow. Life has no promises of tommorow. So i would like to appreciate what i have now. And trust God to do his will. Yahweh listen to God when you know you’re doing the right thing. ;)

It would be far better for you to do something immediately to change the situation. Calling your father a bastard is the epitome of disrespect. I understand that he may deserve it, but still. Does he have enough money to hire full time caregivers? If not maybe a retirement home or a nursing home which ever suits, or better yet, move him to where one of the sisters live, and put him in a home there. It is not healthy to live in a stressful situation, for you or your dad. It might be difficult to get this done, but it will be worth it in the long run. I wish you both the best.

I woke up with an annoying headache, having been awake for the last 24 hrs because of work schedule changes.

On my way to work, I dropped by my favorite pasta place only to find out they're closed.

I got to the office and ordered pasta delivery from my other favorite pasta place only to find out that their website has issues recognizing my postal code (which I have used before).

I went to order from another delivery service and found that Subway is still open. So I ordered only to find out that my account has issues and it doesn't let me order, giving me errors and not letting me pay.

My head was hurting, I was sleepy and hungry and I was already getting irritated.

I should mention I was in the same bus as the co-worker I mentioned before and we were in the elevator together, talk about awkward.

So, I decided to not look for another store and instead contacted customer service (via chat because they do not have a call center) and tried to get my account working and proceed with my order.

Of course, the customer service rep had to be rude and impatient and ended our chat just because I did not respond for two minutes (I'm at work!!!) and I was sitting there close very close to exploding.

But instead of exploding I felt like singing...

IT'S A FREE RIIIIIDE WHEN YOU'VE ALREADY PAID

Long story short, I finally got my order (thanks to the last rep, Logan, who was very helpful & patient) and for the first time in months, I've having coffee tonight without a care in the world.

Any Linux competent persons here that have experience with musescore, Finale or Sibelius? I would like to have a good music score program on my Ubuntu, but I have been disappointed with those I have tried out so far.

I could have sworn Musescore was already Linux compatible. Check your repos. MIDI notation entry will require Jack set up though.

I thought MuseScore was online only, but it seems like I can download it. Trust that more than the Guitar pro, as I would never write anything for a guitar.... Last time I used MuseScore it was a bit difficult with changing time signatures but it might have changed since then. I also need the programme to handle up to 25 parts. I guess I just have to check it out. If it doesn't work, I have to sell my pride and get myself a Mac and Sibelius or Finale. It costs a fortune, though.

I'd be much more receptive to doing things for people if they would ASK me instead of simply assuming "Jon will take care of it". There's only so much the world can pile on me before I drop it all like a sack of rocks, stick both middle fingers in the air and walk away like there is a 1970's Funk soundtrack playing in my head.

Thumb a diesel down, be on your way to New Orleans, make sure you don't get busted flat in Baton Rouge and remember, freedoms just another word for nothing left to lose.

Me and Bobby McGee as my poor memory recalls it.
