. My rechargeable AA batteries are in a non-siliconed Altoids tin. Is that a problem?? And would it fix the problem if I wrapped the batteries in a piece of cotton cloth or a tissue?
It depends on the flavor. :)

Junk food (like chips, candies, soda, etc). Seriously, they don't taste that good and they're unhealthy. Total waste of money.

Like Tinuviel, I have alot of things I dont use or dont need, but they hold sentimental value.

If it ever becomes a serious problem, like that I cant walk through my house cuz I have so much stuff, I might get rid of some of it. But for now thats not a problem : p

I do have one problem, I need a good place to keep shoes. Thats not a "too much stuff" thing, though. Its really just an organization problem. I only have 3 pairs of shoes, but no one can leave them where I place them, and I always have to go around LOOKING for them. Its frustrating.
I could use some sorta rack to keep them on, definitely.

As for paying someone to take care of my lawn for me, Im not getting rid of that : p Im pretty tired after working all day, and Im providing someone with payment in return for services, so its good for both of us. I have the money that I can give him in exchange for a service, so that way he can provide for himself. I consider the entire thing to be nothing but beneficial : p
I use plastic shoeboxes in the bottom of my closet, maybe you'd find something like that useful? I like them because they stack easily and the contents are visible from the outside.

like this:

i feel the same as you on lawn service....i love having that extra time on the weekends!
for me I'm just saving up for a few things right now and looking for additional ways to bring my monthly expenses down...after doing the cost analysis of owning my own reel mower vs paying for lawn maintenance I couldn't justify it.

I should probably lay off the junk food and soda one of these days. My stomach is starting to stick out and who knows how much weight I'll gain if I don't stop as I get older.

Lol. I don't know if this is true for everyone but junk food also makes me feel like always tired. And I hate that, I end up sleeping a lot and I already hibernate like a bear.

I let go of Soda like 5 years ago, and I'm in love with water lol.

It's just the chocolate almond cake and vanilla ice cream that I'm having trouble with

Oh, thats a good idea. I have no idea where to find something like that, but its good to have an idea of what to look for : p

And yeah definitely, nothing wrong with cutting costs with the lawn thing : p I was lucky to find a guy willing to take care of my lawn for cheap, haha. Hes a nice guy too, does more than I even asked him to.

I got my shoe boxes a few years ago off of Etsy.
I ran a quick search and dollar tree and home depot both sell them online as well.

New or even newer cars. I drive mine into the ground as it seems like a huge waste of money with no ROI. That being said I recognize value of transportation but just think it is crazy to spend 40K plus on a car. (Sorry zero) :p

Peppermint is my favorite.
I actually haven't tried any other kinds. (Or maybe I had spearmint once, I don't remember). I use peppermint for carsickness.

I can't think of anything I don't buy or can stop buying.. I've always been pretty frugal. At various times in my life I've been addicted to chocolate, ice cream, modifying my car, car stereo equipment, modifying my mountain bike, adding to my drumset... but for the last several years I haven't had any "addictions".

And I won't give up my paper towels because I use microfiber towels on a regular basis and I know what a pain they are to clean (I wash them by hand instead of putting them in the washer because I use them on cars).

Bar and hand soaps are something I never buy. It's rediculous how expensive natural soap is. I make it myself at a fraction of the cost.

It was easy because I had a very reliable car with a manual tranny (it was an '89 honda civic). All I really needed to do was keep up with oil changes and regular maintenance. Some things did eventually need replacing like the alternator and radiator. The most expensive repairs were the steering column (who knew that could go bad?!), and replacing the AC controls because I think someone fried them when they incorrectly hooked up diagnosis equipment to the engine.

The engine was never rebuilt. I occassionally used engine additives like Slick50 and Restore to maintain the compression/power, and I used another additive to keep the engine clean called Rislone, plus fuel injector cleaners from Chevron and STP.

On the outside, I kept it washed and waxed almost religiously. I kept the interior clean too and I don't smoke. :)

Not even... bacon? :D

Although maybe it's just a phase I'm going through, like my college sophomore year when I realized I could just buy frosting in a tub.

I don't buy anything I can't pay for with cash. I had a house full of antiques. I gave it all away. Everything I now own I could fit in a 2 bedroom home and be very minimal. I will never own another television and I will never own anything that I won't use at least once a month or on special holidays. It's just stuff that clutters up my life and wastes time I could be devoting to God and family.

My dad used to cook us bacon for breakfast a lot when we were kids and I loved it. I still love it, but my dad didn't overcook it like most people do these days. It was crispy on the edges and juicy in the center. The way most people cook it is just short of burning it, and some burn it. Whenever I cook it, I cook it like my dad did..... and it never gave any of us a tummy ache or food poisoning either (in case anyone thinks it was undercooked).
