We are taught in the Epistles of the Bible that we are to always be of a sober mind. Being happy or content does not translate to laughing like a loon at the drop of an unkind word.......humor usually is at the expense of someone else.....even when or if not, it has no place in the conversation of faith.......perhaps when outside the conversation, but that phrase in itself is accusative is it not?
first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. (Matthew 7:5)

When you read passages like this, how can you not believe Jesus has a sense of humor? Wouldn't you expect someone who makes a humorous exaggeration like this to have a sense of humor?

The correctionf of God is not humor, nor intended to cause laughter from others due to the failures of others.

Some folks have said when God laughs at the feeble attempts of the enemy it is He demonstrating a sense of humor....I think not.

I have nothing against people having a merry time, but never at the expense of others, and especially never at the expense of the true lesson in the teachings from God, Himself.

The beam or plank in the eye of anyone, even an enemy, is hardly a joke or humorous......

I would really like to know:

In which manifestation does our Maker tell the christian jokes? The Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit, for I know of no jokes from Him, not a one.
Oh there are a fare few,for instance when God was plaguing Egypt, Pharaoh's magicians tried to compete with him and not only did he afflict them but got them to be so foolish as to "plague themselves a second time" like with the plague of frogs, now for me that's humorous because how dumb can one get to get plagued and then pridefully attempt to do the same plague upon yourselves through some false Gods!?

Or come on who could overlook the book of Esther, the king's lackey arranged a parade for himself or so he thought the king meant the parade for him and was prideful after about to banish mordekai but mordekai did a great deed for the king and so he got the parade instead, and in the end because of God's faith in God,mordekai,Esther and their family stayed and he got all he planned for them instead, just the parade misunderstanding alone is hilarious.

Perhaps it's not God who lacks a sense of humor.

Well God is recorded in the Bible as laughing at conspiring men and having them in derision..

Psalms 2: KJV
1"Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? {2} The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, {3} Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. {4} He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision."

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. He said out loud, "Lord, grant me one wish."
Suddenly the sky clouded above his head and in a booming voice the Lord said,
"
Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish".

The man said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii, so I can drive over anytime I want to."

The Lord said, "Your request is very materialistic. Think of the logistics of that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! I can do it, but your desire for worldly things offends me. Take a little more time and think of another wish, a wish you think would honor and glorify me."

The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, I wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel, what they are thinking when they give me the silent treatment, why they cry, what they mean when they say "nothing" and how I can make a woman truly happy."

After a few minutes God said, "You want two lanes or four on that bridge?" :D
