The GOP has blocked countless bills to fund treatment for vets, the VA Hospital, 9/11 rescue workers and servicemen in gerneral. Why are they better? "We will let you die in the streets but thanks for your service!".
Would you support a presidential candidate who was pro abortion?

Here is the ACLU's actual statement:

Tonight, President Trump said the word ‘America’ more than 80 times in his speech. Yet, after a divisive first year, we hear and feel how exclusionary that ‘America’ is, with policies that have harmed so many vulnerable American communities. The ACLU stands ready to protect these communities, both in the courts and at the polls.
In particular, the immigration plan put forth by Trump would hold Dreamers hostage to his demands for a harmful border wall and an even larger mass deportation force. We are at this crossroads because of the President’s deeply destructive ideas fomented by his nativist allies and divisive rhetoric. We will continue to stand up for these young immigrants and ensure they continue to contribute to our country. We cannot let America’s Dreamers be deported.

It really is frightening how lazy people are when it comes to fact checking.

You really don't have a dog in this fight, only an opinion.....just like I could blast your illustrious president, Eh?

Are you for open borders? Let anyone in? Even illegally? Are you a proponent of sanctuary cities? Do you feel immigrants should get preferential treatment over American citizens?
Please be transparent and state your views about these issues.

You're free to do so, I don't care for him much either. Although I would take your criticisms more seriously if you at least knew we did not have a president, we have a prime minister.

No .. NEVER ! Never even heard of it before. It's not even a word for goodness sake. He loves playing the "gender neutral card" ... and this was his latest attempt at it. He's paying for it too, rightly so. The words to our national anthem were just changed from ... "In all thy son's command" to ... "in all of us command" ... lol Nobody's gonna sing that ... lol He just can't help himself tho ... lol Loves photo ops .... selfie's ... being captured in "tender moments" ... fake tears and all ... lol The guy was a drama teacher before entering politics on the coattail of his father's name, who was a previous prime minister. His dad loved Fidel Castro ... and he did too. He recently said that integrating former ISIS fighters into Canadian culture will benefit Canada and Canadians. And you think you guys have it bad ??? ...

Best of both worlds. We're subjects of the Crown annnnd ... subject to a Clown
You have my sympathies. For at least the latter part. We have endured much and probably have much more to endure. Only God is merciful and will not abandon us to the enemy.

Greater is He who is in us that he who is in the world.

I completely agree brother. I've not been one to shy from giving the devil his due when he deserves it (Obama and Trump for example), but Trump did promise on day 1 he'd have something lined up to repeal and replace the ACA. When Democrats pressed him on specifics, he was more vague. When he was elected and the Republicans tried to pull a fast one by passing stuff no one has any idea what will be in it, they still didn't offer a comprehensive health care replacement. To this day even... He has removed the mandate, thankfully... so I'll give him that, but it does nothing to the root and spirit of his promise.
Wow Hipster, we may have our first area of disagreement! May being the operative word ... regarding the insurance mandate. The problem is that people without insurance or other means of payment are guaranteed basic and emergency medical care ... the cost of which is then added onto the bills of those with insurance or other means to pay. The mandate was intended to end that unfairness by making sure everyone had at least a minimal ability to pay. So if you're not going to mandate coverage, you then have to mandate that anyone without the means to pay does not receive care.

It's free either way. The mandate was subsidized by your tax dollars.

The independent mandate was a crime against those who lost their jobs! It didn't affect me until I the company I worked for 9 years restructured and out-sourced out positions. At that time I was out of work, but because of that independent mandate I was required to have insurance or pay the fine at tax time. Well, the lowest insurance cost was over $400 per month. So Mr. Obama caused me and many other people financial hardship, for when I lost my job I no longer had any income and the government wants me to take on a new debt in order to comply with their mandate law. I'm still paying on my fines for not having insurance. The government should not have the right to force me or anyone else to have insurance.

So while we're all being so chatty, why the German flag?

- Did you grow up in Germany?
- Do you just happen to like Germany?
- Are you a neo nazi?
- Are you a big Hitler fan, and thus your name?

Since you're being all chatty, I'd love to know why you have a German flag and use a name that sounds like Adolf Hitler.

We get so few neo nazis around here... this could be a very exciting day for all of us.

Ummm I was wanting to ask the same question....

I find that kind of crazy also and I'm a Republican. Standing and applauding are a form of free speech which the Democrats were exercising. It was certainly not treasonous to remain seated and withholding applause.
