If you want to know humble, then study Moses.
Numbers 12:1-3 NKJV
[1] Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman. [2] So they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" And the LORD heard it. [3] (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)
He was raised in luxury but was willing to forsake that and be obedient to God.
He doubted himself and his abilities but in his weakness, he was strong as he leaned on God.
His people mattered to him, not just one or two, not just his immediate family, not just his
neighbours, but all the tribes all the millions of people.
He got anxious and stressed by the burden of leadership, he doubted himself, he didn't lord it over others, but he was still willing to fulfill the role God had given him.
He recognised the need to act quickly when tragedy struck the camp,
When he messed up and God said he wouldn’t be allowed into the promised land, he didn’t
stop believing in God, he accepted that judgement.
Very little about Moses was about Him. It was about God and God’s people.
