It does not agree with the rout described in Exodus.
I'm in agreement with you. A couple of things. Scripture states the water was congealed. Also, these same waters drowned the Egyptian army. It was deep.

Though I'm not necessarily arguing for it, neither of these points proscribe the Nuweiba route. The water need only be ten feet deep or less for the army to drown, and "congealed" is location-irrelevant.

The whole event the Exodus is a parable. .using the things seen the temporal to signify the things not seen the eternal, supernatural.

That law of interpretation that informs us without parables the Holy Spirit of Christ spoke not is not limited to the new testament.

Dry land called good as God approval is one of the metaphors.

The supernatural what I will call a parable converter must be applied .

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Say, brother garee,

I'm sure you can see that that approach would turn most things in the scriptures into parables.

And actually, the scriptures themselves would be a parable, since they are something written that can be seen.

The Bible would then be one giant parable composed mostly of parables, which in turn can be seen as made up of even smaller parables.

I agree with that. The letter of the law or the bible as death is the temporal seen that reveals our hopelessness. The parables as a source of faith take the literal understanding and convert it into a law of faith. the unseen spirit of the law.

Both laws, seen and unseen working as one perfect laws. The just and justified .Apart from each other they provide nothing. A work of the Father not seen and the temporal Son of God Jesus, seen .

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

The proper prescription must be applied if we are to hear by faith

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

The mixing of the two makes one new perfect law.

I see. What does the parable of the chariot wheels mean in this story?

Exodus 14: 25. And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

I would offer wheels are used like the feet of the apostles messengers of truth, like the wings of eagles. .God removed any chance of them wheeling it out of the judgement. No rubber to hit the road Jack . They ain't coming back no more, no more. .

And then prior to the wheels coming off it's like
How lovely on the desert are the feet of the apostles of Pharaoh's chariots.

The wheels that moved them were just as lovely.

The wheels that are carrying chariots that are coming to take a person back into slavery are lovely?

Yes it brings the smell of death to those who went under and the sweet fragrance of a ongoing life to those on dry ground.

How beautiful are the feet that walked on dry ground to represent the gospel . How horrible to those who wheels fell off which represents the letter of the law.

For all you physicists out there, is there any application of physics that could possibly explain the parting of the Red Sea as it is described in Exodus 14?
Not too long ago I watched a science program that discussed this. Look for the physics that apply to, land bridge.

You do realize that not everything in the Bible is parable nor allegory? Some things actually did happen.

Yes many things happened and a spiritual meaning as a parable came alongside to give us the gospel .Hid from them under the sea.

Wheels usually represents moving . Four wheels universal, bringing the gospel, north, south, east and west.Like that of eagles wings. Metaphors used in parables can be used to represent evil or a blessing, as good.

Eagles a unclean bird can be used both way .One to represent the dead as those who devour flesh and blood . or like with wings of a eagle, like the apostles feet they can be used to bring the blessing. Wheels are used in the same way.

Two sides to the coin in the bible. Hopefully we divide it ("penny" which equals eternal life) properly. I am offering another view point .Not trying to change the literal historical.

Luke 20:23-25 King James Version (KJV) But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me? Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

I like the general trend of your thinking, but at the same time it wasn't lovely to the Israelites at the time.

Exodus 14: 11. They said to Moses, "Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us forth out of Egypt?

Yes, and later they desired to give up their sabbath rest for better or familiar food. Like Esau selling his birth rite for a cup of George Webb soup. Seeing no value in the unseen spiritual things of God.

They were not allowed to perform their religious ceremonies while in captivity. God did hear their murmuring and gave them manna the bread of "unfamiliarity" we have the treasure of the power of the gospel in us not of us as some must of have reasoned walking by sight. . This was until they received the promised land . The same hidden manna (hiding the spiritual understanding in parables) spoken of in Revelation 2 as the kind of food of the disciples at first knew not of..until they learned to walk by faith, as did some of those in the desert.

NO!

The gospel is not hidden; it is in the plain text! Exodus is NOT a parable!

For goodness' sake, learn what a parable is... and isn't! Not everything is a parable. You are grossly overusing the word!

Sure it is a parable. Without parables Christ spoke not prophecy. Hiding the unseen gospel understanding from the lost revealing it to those who do walk by faith, the unseen eternal .

God does not give parables to understand moral laws like the sabbath shadow . They are used in ceremonial laws laws that come long side of the literal historical.

Yes hidden in plain text the bible called "mixing faith" . Mixing that seen temporal with that not see the eternal. therefore being yoked with Christ we can rest in his three day finished labor of love or work of faith .

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Well, I suppose it's like
Exodus 15: 5. The deeps cover them. They went down into the depths like a stone.
