Do you need the words to be there or does a reasonable explanation of the text you are unable to refute worthy of considering?
It's not in the bible at all. Not in letter or in suggestion. It's a false teaching.

Just isolating this, to say: I do not believe Adam and Eve were created as eternally living beings. They would have had to eat from the Tree of Life to attain to life ever after, just as we do. Now some people claim they did eat of this Tree, simply because they had life in the first place, but I see nothing in Scripture to justify this thinking. In fact, we all have life to begin with, but need to be born again of the Spirit. And also, God barred A&E from the Tree of Life after eating the forbidden fruit specifically so they could not live forever.

Thank you for explaining how you see this I find it quite fascinating following threads like this because I notice that there is no "alignment of camps"(so to speak) on their positions on this. What I mean is that I notice that where Amill's,Preterit's Dispensationist ect. usually disagree with one another I find that in similar topics as this it seems to be a mixture of the camps on one side seeing it one way and a mixture of camps one the other side seeing another. In fairness though I should say what I see because being out side of the common camps it seems to be quite different than what others see.

What I see is that God created the Heaven(S) and the earth https://biblehub.com/interlinear/genesis/2-4.htm and not just "the earth". Then(at that time) there was no man on the earth and it had not rained(Gen. 2:5) so God made a man(vrs 7-8) and then he "planted a garden" https://biblehub.com/interlinear/genesis/2-8.htm and then placed the man he made in it in verse 15. Then while the man was (in the garden) he put him in a deep sleep and formed the woman(Eve) while they were in the garden. So she(the woman was made while in the garden of Eden). https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis 2&version=KJV

So then this place referred to as the "garden of Eden" where the man was placed,Eve was made and the serpent resided to me might
not be the same place everyone else is seeing so I'll explain how I see it. In Revelation 2:7 this place is "the paradise of God" https://biblehub.com/interlinear/revelation/2-7.htm and the "tree of life" is in it.

Now this place is the same place that Jesus told the thief he would be with him in Luke 23:43 https://biblehub.com/interlinear/luke/23-43.htm and the same place Paul refers to as paradise in https://biblehub.com/interlinear/2_corinthians/12-4.htm and as the third heaven in https://biblehub.com/interlinear/2_corinthians/12-2.htm

So I see that the Man was made from the dust of the ground and then placed in "the third heaven, paradise" where the tree of life is and the woman was made in the same place and the serpent was there and then because of the fall in the garden(Eden, paradise, third heaven) they were driven out of it and back into the earth where the man was made (verse 23-24) https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis 3&version=KJV and he is told that he would return to the dust of the ground because he was dust(verse 17-19) but he would not have until the fall.

I don't think self-awareness can be properly classified as involuntary bodily movements.

You are welcome, and thank you for explaining your view also :) I find it interesting that Adam had all of the human genetic code within him, making him a hermaphrodite of sorts. However, that is quite beside the point of, the description of the garden in Genesis 2:10-14 states that the water from Eden watered four important areas: Pishon, which flows into the land of Havilah; Gihon, which flows into the land of Cush; Tigris, which flows into the eastern side of Assyria; and the fourth is Euphrates. Does this not clearly identify the GoE as being terrestrial? Many Bible scholars have concluded that the Garden of Eden was somewhere in the middle eastern area known today as the Tigris-Euphrates River Valley, with its remains long ago vanishing in the flood of Noah's time. In the new earth to come, there will also be the Tree of Life. Not to mention, all have access to the Tree of Life here and now, for the last couple of thousand years, at least ;):D:)

Happy New Year to you and yours, SoAndSo!

The opposite of mind of Christ and the anti-Way of Christ. To put it shortly. There's no he, it's it.
I can accept that "Satan" is not a personal name like Michael or Gabriel. However, I'm wondering what you do with Job 1 and 2, where "Satan" (KJV) is used of an individual personal entity.

Yes I couldn't get CC's site to load yesterday on my laptop but I noticed other pages would(news, weather ect.) so I just went about my day.

I think it was terrestrial pre-fall and probably was in the area described by Moses but the rivers and lands he is using are "post flood" names of places and rivers of it's general location at the time of the fall. At the time of the flood I notice in Genesis 7:11-12(see the words #1234,4599&8415) https://biblehub.com/interlinear/genesis/7-11.htm that the fountains of the deep burst open" and then it began to rain forty days and nights(next vrs.) https://biblehub.com/interlinear/genesis/7-12.htm so it seems to be describing the earth breaking apart and the water rushing into the earths mantel(causing steam/rain) similar to Pangaea
and so where it was is being described of where it was in aspect of where things were after the flood event.

Happy new years to you too

AMEN to that! Adam and Eve were Gods gardeners and not hunter gatherers. They were set apart, for his garden. On the seventh day God rested. Could he not have created them on the eighth day? Is there anything new about being set apart?

Befor the printing press the RCC had control of most teachings to mostly people who couldn't read and we know they thrive on tradition more than education. If they don't understand something up that makes sence to them, and teach it as the truth. Tradition and superstition have very long lives. Catholics aren't bad on a whole but the Vatican has been lying to us for 1700 years. Pray to Mary? Why?
Bingo on the 8th day Creation, for he was a specific Adam, created to be a farmer/gardener to till the Soil & he had a soul,
The Adam, which only means man, created on the 6th had no soul & was created for destruction. God's word, not mine.

The Hebrew for man is adamah. The translators shortened it to Adam and ever since people have fallen into the trap of thinking it was a name. When man first walked the earth, language had not been invented and they spoke in grunts, squeeks and whistles and by finger pointing. The first names would ha been something like Og and Ug.
Actually there are over 6 variations of Adam used in scripture. The 1st usage in Genesis on the 6th day is mankind & is plural.
Male & Female he created THEM. All the animals, trees, vegetation, etc. In Genesis 2 when God is Sculpting or creating a Specific Adam it is singular & reads The Man. The first mankind was never given a soul & never given any special rules on what to eat or anything really except to multiply.
The Man Adam was sculpted from the clay & breathed into by his creator, giving him a Living Soul. He was also given rules to live by.
This is Morality. Read closely & you will see that the animals in the 2nd creation were also formed from the earth & were domestic,
whereas the first were not. This is simple & easily proven 2 ways. #1 Using a Hebrew dictionary, & #2 Take a sheet of paper & draw a line down the middle from top to bottom. Left side write Genesis 1 day By day creation. Right side Genesis 2 Day by day & then you will see many things that disagree, simply, because they are not the same at all, & we have been deceived, period. Do not believe anything anyone tells you read & study for yourself. There are many other differences but I just wanted to give the major ones.

Our species appeared suddenly with and advanced brains capable of executive thinking, because God, the father, created us that w
That's the thing about the intellect. You either got it or ya don't. It isn't seen developing in lower animals. It isn't seen at all on earth but in human life. Only mankind knits the material and spiritual realms into one.

We haven't been deceived. The accounts invite us to discover the mystery 9f our Genesis. Can you expand on the meaning of the differences?

No . This is just a work - a -round in order to accommodate billions of years and evolutionary philosophy into the bible so that we can be accepted in Academic circles ect .

Are you telling all that Adam, Eve, and the children spoke to our Father with hand gestures and grunts? From this it is implied the Father spoke to them in the same. I do not buy this.
As for adam, this name is derived from the Hebrew word for earth, the root is dam meaning red. Dam dam is bright red. Dam also means blood. Adm may be tranlated as man or mankind. Not so simple my friend, yet not complicated at all unless you want it to be.

The science described reality with certainty. The sun didn't revolve around the earth. Theology that relied on the earth as the center of the universe was necessarily abandoned.

I agree with you.
There is an underlying theme in Scriptures that may apply. It's all the people(gen1) male and female, as one person.(gen2) Adam.

A couple examples.

Jesus taught....I will gather all men to myself.

The Body of Christ.

Do a simple test take a sheet of paper & draw a line down the middle. On the left side Genesis 1 day by day, then Genesis 2 day by day on the right & you will see the differences clearly.
