No kidding about Nashville....it's a disaster.
They have had reasonable road/traffic engineers to advise them how to fix the mess....but they got fired because they told them things they didn't want to hear.
So Nashville traffic is a mess.

If you are traveling east to west or vice versa...there's a bypass that is more than beneficial....Even though it appears that it will take longer. It won't. It will save lots of time. Not miles.

The north to southern routes like 65 or 24....you are stuck. There are some side highways but those are confusing to everyone as well because of the signs.

You definitely need GPS to travel through. And expect to be stuck in lots of traffic. Lots and lots of bumper to bumper traffic going 2 mph.
I have taken 24 West to Nasville to hook up with 65 North going to Michigan and the reverse going back to Florida. It is like driving through a maze. You think that you finally on I65 only to find that you are actually on an exit that will lead you to 4 exits at once leading to various other interstates. I never had GPS but would not attempt to drive through Nashville again without it.

I can't take it having to make constant split-second decisions on whether I am in the proper lane heading to the correct exit. My wife drove though Nashville a few years ago heading back from Michigan going to Florida. I insisted on being a passenger that time. She seemed to enjoy the challenge. Even though I was a passenger, I hit the pretend brakes many times and turned the pretend steering wheel too. Maybe my nerves are finally shot.

have made the round trip from Orlando, FL to Lansing, MI at least 8 or 9 times through the years. My recommendation is to avoid I24 at all costs. There is this place called Wartrace that it snakes around through. Very steep inclines and downslopes and curvy. If you're not careful you could easily drive through the guardrail and go down the mountain. A white-knuckle ride for sure.

Oh Wartrace ain't that bad....it's interstate....we got worse....much much worse. When you can look out your side rear window to see where you are going in the next 50 feet....that's when it's bad.

Of course no guard rails....otherwise your bumper would catch.

Then there's 41 on Monteagle...alternate to 24....it's all the way up and down of hairpin curves. Every truck driver and auto driver hates that one with a passion.
All of these are dragon tails....motorcycle drivers love them.

iron sharpens iron, not an attempt to put down.
If what you read gets you down that is from you and an opportunity to repent and become renewed.

shittim often tells it like it is and the truth can hurt
I dont think he means to harm anyone but remarks can be cutting.

not sure what he said now but for some people they dont want to fight back, which is sometimes what is needed?

I never really got why guys were so keen on fighting to resolve a conflict. But its true some feel better after having a rumble. doesnt matter who wins or loses.

A workmate has invited all of us staff to watch him in a fight. I am not sure what the fight is about but its to raise money for charity (not sure which one)
I dont know, Im not that keen on watching fights, in movies they bore me.

Food fights might be fun though, Ive only ever seen them in american movies though, nobody dies, they just make a mess

Watching a boxing match or karate match or kickboxing match where you truly know one of the participants is absolutely one of the most fun things to do.

You have someone that you can root for. Absolutely wonderful....you don't have to know that much...he needs to hit the other guy more than he gets hit.

I would definitely be interested, willing, and eager to see a friend compete. I would yell encouragements and be a superfan while there.

I remember a crayon battle during in art class in 7th grade. Students were flinging Crayola's at each other. In 9th grade some kid during lunch put some jello down my back just for kicks. I took exception to that, and a fight ensued. We both got suspended for the day. Well worth it.

Absolutely....
When we were young and there were no real consequences for a youthful fight it was all good.

These days you end up suspended and sent to the thugs school and the subject of a lawsuit by a dozen people for PTSD and assault.

hmm never seen that in the 53 yrs i lived in australia. always streets signs. but i guess i havent been to all the places you been to
I probably should have elaborated more... it's in the CBDs of the larger townships that are managed by local councils that seem to lack adequate Street signage. At least that has been my experience.

I'm curious, you were in Oz for 53 years. Obviously I don't know how long you've been away from here, but I've got to say that looking at your profile photo, you've certainly aged well for a 53+ year old. What is your secret, what diet are you on? 🙂

Remember what you once told me about fear. He promises to meet our needs if we're putting Him first.

I go back to school to today
Hope its going to be good term and everyones back on track with their learning and stays well. I cant tememeber ever missing so much school when I was in primary. I loved school. I want children to love learning thats what will keep them going in life.

I dont want teachers to ever put a child off learning so that they children dont want to be there. I think thats what can hurt them the most, not their peers or anyone or anything else, but an adult that doesnt believe in them or bless them and wanting the very best for them, no matter what the circumstances

I am sure that this situation is quite stressful and a source of anxiety for you. I will pray for your lease to get extended.

the fight was some mixed martial arts and it was over in 3 minutes. He seemed so proud that he won though.

Its kind of weird, if its a sport its deemed ok but if its not I'd be like what is so great about fighting? Do you LIKE being smacked in the face?

I'm not really a martial arts type of guy. I'm not the least bit impressed with this guy. Trying to prove he is some sort of "Macho, macho, man".
