He also said unless you come as one of the little children you may not enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus didnt turn them away as his disciples attempted to do. Their parents brought them to Jesus and he accepted them.
Unless you come as little children -- full of faith and joy, not doubt and fear. He was speaking to adults -- the disciples.

About coming as one of those little children. He was correcting his disciple because they were trying to turn away the little children.
Pointing out as only makes my point. Who is more as a little child than a little child. Like you say full of Faith and Joy.
As .... Faith

I think its a damnable sin to exclude children from the Kingdom of heaven because of some doctrine of use of human reason unto salvation.
Age of Accountability is not supported by scripture.
In Hebrew baptism is equated to circumcision which was done at 8 days old for a child born into the family of promise and at conversion for converts.
Jesus did speak of mill stone around necks of those who cause the children to sin.

You can confess sin to God and ask for forgiveness immediately upon sinning. Tell Him exactly what you did wrong and be specific. Don’t be embarrassed with God, He loves honesty even if it’s ugly.

You can talk like this for example.

“Dear Father in heaven, I want to confess my sin to You. I see I have made a terrible mistake and I will try to not do it again. Please help me not to want to sin. Thank You for the forgiveness you’ve given me through Christ’s sacrifice. Praise and glory to You God. I love You forever!. In Jesus’s name. Amen.”
Amen and amen brother that’s “walking in the light “

“but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:7-10‬ ‭

of we have sinned be won’t acknolwedge it it’s because we aren’t letting the light shine and make it manifest the very thing that reproves our sins and guilt

“But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:13-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

if someone you love us imperfect and do something wrong of you keep lying about it when they know you did it is one thing but if you confess to then what you did from the heart because you feel guilty knowing you did them wrong is entirely a different thing

we can’t be forgiven if we won’t acknolwedge we’ve done wrong what your saying there changes my life years and years ago whe. Unlearned that God is a Father who loves us not because we’re perfect but because we get real with him and stop pretending that’s when he starts to lead us when we let go of the masquerade we’ve from used to assu king we never do wrong as we do daily

Therefore it is neither devalued or disapproved of in Scripture.
Also dunking is not mentioned either...but hey we just make stuff up as we go along. Right? What ever gets us far from the truth....

Here is what Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote to the church in Rome: "

"Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life. " Romans 6:4

The ritual of sprinkling is not mentioned anywhere in Scripture.
The ritual of sprinkling is not mentioned anywhere in Scripture

Num_19:13 Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
Num_19:20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.
Heb_9:19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
Heb_10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Pure water seems to me to be the Living Water

If it isn't mentioned in Scripture, then you are adding to God's word. Not a good idea.

Revelation 22:18, "I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book."

Hello sir
Sir how can I get the holy spirit? I wanna hear him too.
Hello Femin,
There is no formula, but if you sincerely seek him, he will come to you. He will lead. It's not likely you will hear him audibly
Jesus said this:

9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.
10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
11 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish?
12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father
give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

Though I wouldn't advise deliberately altering any of the books-

"This Book" = The Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ. Not the whole collection of books & letters that make up The Bible.
The Revelation is the only book that contains that warning.
It is also the only book that contains a blessing for reading it aloud.

Rev 1:3
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written
in it, because the time is near.

I respectfully disagree, to do something well you need to understand what you do, the more you understand the more you excel'

Imagine a surgeon with only basic knowledge operating on you....

Blessings,

JF
Who then is giving the understanding?
The example with the surgeon fits not realy in compare of the word of God.

To understand what the bible makes clear is not difficult. It is more difficult to put it in practice.

Some people think they must find an meaning behind the meaning.
God revealed his word in this way that everybody can understand that what is realy important. ( of course this is only possible if the Holy Spirit open it for our understanding)

Is there a specific Scripture that states precisely that if one is to be baptized it must be without question 100% done in a specific manner and only in that manner?

At one point I thought anyone could understand the Bible, but the longer I am around Christians I realize that those who (allegedly, but only God knows) have the Holy Spirit don’t necessarily want to listen or know how to listen to Him.

The Bible isn’t a normal book. Yes some of the surface information can be understood by just reading the words on the pages, but if someone can’t or won’t listen to the Holy Spirit then they’ll never really be able to understand most of the Bible with any depth of understanding.
I agree the Bible is not a normal book. It marvels me at the power within and that so much is there that no one can fully know it all, or understand it all,

As for the Holy Spirit, and I speak from my own experience, He seems to gift mr with understanding a little at a time, pertaining to verses or sections I had read many times or heard many times without fully grasping what really lies beneath the text.

1Jn_2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

That verse assures me that the Holy Spirit teaches me, as, without false modesty, I confess I do not grasp things easily at all.
And yes, I struggle with the dilemma of whether it is the Holy Spirit or just a theory, and why I and not a scholar who teaches differently. But I choose to believe it and that it is the Holy Spirit, based on my inability to pick up on things easily.

I also know much is hidden within the Bible. It is there for all to see, but without the Holy Spirit teaching me or reveling it to me, It may as well be Greek, and not translated from Greek.

But sharing is key. I do believe that as the Holy Spirit teaches us, we are to share what we have learned and it is that way the Holy Spirit teaches others as well because truth belongs to no man and all men.

I do hope that makes sense to you and I appreciate such an interesting topic and allowing all to comment on it. I level you with this verse that better explains when we must search the scriptures. Be well and blessed.

Pro_25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

I agree with you, but I do believe it’s possible to audibly hear the voice of God.

Here’s some clues:

Psalm 29:3
The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.

Ezekiel 43:2
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.

Revelation 1:15
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

Revelation 14:2
And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

I believe I have heard this before. It comes from the direction of the sky. It sounds like running water or churning water in a creek or river. Out of that sound of water a voice can be heard. The water sounds like background noise like the place has a waterfall or river nearby.

Psalm 46:4
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

It’s very quiet, barely audible. People have to be seriously paying attention to hear this or, in other words, diligently seeking God. Im convinced that this is how prophets receive their information from God.

Also want to add this verse for consideration:

Revelation 22:1
1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

I have the same kind of experiences that you do. Suddenly I get hit with inspiration about specific verses and topics, sometimes lasting for several weeks while I go about my day thinking about them. If you ask me, I believe that’s God putting thoughts in our mind. Sorta nudging is in the direction of spiritual knowledge that will be helpful for us.

This has been happening to me since I became a Christian. I did become keenly aware that suddenly I was having almost unnatural obsessive thoughts about certain verses. I believe that’s God’s Holy Spirit guiding you.

It might be helpful to keep a journal of the things the Holy Spirit is leading you to learn about. Maybe you’ll notice a pattern, a theme, or larger message. It could also help you learn a bit more since you can always go back and view your notes.

I also firmly believe in sharing what we know and have experienced like how we are doing now. I think of sharing like the parable of the talents. Be sure to use what we’ve been given in our service to God.

Thanks for sharing bro.
