Good questions
Q:
Thank you how do we get rid of our sins or don't we have to?
When we talk about sin and the Holy Spirit, Jesus gives us a very simple and hopeful path that anyone can understand. He never told us to ignore sin, but He also never told us to carry the weight of our mistakes alone. Instead, He invites us to come to Him honestly. Jesus said, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand,” showing that repentance is simply turning back toward God with a sincere heart. He also taught us to pray, “Forgive us our sins,” which means forgiveness is always open to us when we ask for it. As we follow Him, He welcomes us without rejection, for He said that those who come to Him He will never cast out. Peter taught the same truth when he said, “Repent, that your sins may be blotted out.” So yes, getting rid of sin means we bring it to God, confess it, turn from it, and let Jesus wash our hearts clean. This is not something we do only once; it is a gentle, daily walk of trust, honesty, and obedience. And God never turns away a sincere heart.
Q:How do we know we have the Holy Ghost or don't we have to get it?
When we ask about receiving the Holy Spirit, Jesus explained that the Spirit is essential for the life of a believer. He called Him the Helper and the Spirit of truth, and He promised that the Father would give Him to those who love Him and keep His words. So how do we know we have the Spirit? Jesus and the apostles described simple signs that begin quietly but grow over time. The Spirit gives us a new desire to follow God; He softens the heart and gives us a growing love for what is right. He also gives us new understanding of God’s word, fulfilling Jesus’ promise that the Spirit would teach us and guide us into all truth. Another sign is a new love for others, a deeper patience and gentleness that grows inside us. John explained that we know God abides in us by the Spirit He gives. The Spirit also gives strength to resist sin, not making us perfect in a single moment, but helping us overcome things we could never defeat alone. And He provides a quiet inner witness, a gentle awareness of God’s presence that is steady and real, not loud or forced.
All of this leads to a simple and comforting truth. If you seek forgiveness, Jesus will forgive you. If you ask for the Holy Spirit, Jesus will give Him to you. He promised that the Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. You do not need to be perfect first. You only need an honest heart that turns to God and says, “Lord, I want You.” And He will answer every time.
Peace be with you.
Thank you for sharing God never leaves or forsakes anyone, Wow, woe Isaiah 6:1-7. Col 1 :21-23
This new life given from Father in risen Son, takes place on day one anyone believes Father has raised Son from the dead for them to be new. This for me started Eph 1:13. Then I saw versus 6-7 Accepted, forgiven by Daddy, Father, in the risen Son, a gift, not of works of flesh, the done work of Son for new mellowing music to abide in me, being at peace, thankfully, me at least
I see one thing at a time God Father in risen Son takes one thing out of the way at a time. What? Never all at once, confusion coms form all at one time, I need I need this problem fixed and then the next one right with that other one. I have found out it does not work that way, too much confusion and one gets trapped in things. I have been there with worry over things.
I saw to take all my problems at the time going on, to God in trust. I saw from God lets take the most important one, and solve that one. first. Then we will work on the next one, Ready?
I went Yes
Oh, what a bumpy ride. I look back and see so many things that I did wrong, and God not ever condemn me, ever!!!!!!!!! Perplexed over others condemning me, and me not wanting to do those things that I did, I even started condemning others also.. Yet being condemned by people, not God, I became guilty and prideful, a person better than others (Luke 18:9-14), and went ahead and did those things anyways, that were not good. for my Soul or others Souls either. However God has continued to work with me and not ever condemn me ever. That is what changed and changes me, daily in learning new from mistakes I have made, God teaching me new in God's Spirit and Truth. God Father gives us the Holy Spirit to guide us and we the people still get to respond in belief and listen or not. /Free Choice remains, I choose God to lead not me anymore, still learning this daily.
Phil 3:12-15, best to read the entire Epistle to ge the entire context of love and mercy from God to us all, at least me
