I grew up with cats and they are not at all like that. Cats will sit in my lap and purr for hours if I let them, without a shred of food in sight.Just like a cat. You're only interested in me for my food and once that's gone you'll ignore me again.

I mean... I appreciate the compliment, saying I am more like a cat than I really am, but it is kind of an insult to real cats.

I think with stuffed ones you don't need to feed them, and they are just as soft as cuddly.

I currently don't have anything is fuchsia, but how about a nice shade of pink!
(For the good or the bad, yes, I actually do own this pink pen set, along with the green one pictured in my original post.)

As for being cheap (regarding critters,) well I just like to get a good deal.
Besides, if you pick out one that costs a little less...
It means you might be able to pick up another one as a bonus.
Gel pens run out so quickly.
They were all the rage at school, but completely impractical and always running out mid sentence.
Same with felt-tip pens. It was such a drag having those because the little kids never put the caps back on.
Sharpening pencils can be fun though.

What kids loved to do though was shred paper. When I had a paper shredder in the library, I was very popular.
And a rotary pencil sharpener.
But it was the puppets that everyone loved.

A while back, my church had a work day for the children's church, and somehow I wound up in the corner (pretty fitting, I'm told! Lol!) sharpening a humongous basket of worn-down colored pencils. I had never seen such a large collection -- it was quite impressive -- and in a myriad of different shades.
They generously gave me 3 electric pencil sharpers to work with (I was impressed -- my schools only had the crank ones), but they kept overheating. I kept having to take breaks when all 3 were out of commission, which was annoying me.
Next time, I will bring my extra sharpeners from home.

Speaking of children it's always hard, when in a class, and you ask a question and the kids put their hands up if they know the answer, then you have to pick one to speak.
It's probably not the best way to teach because anyone who isn't picked feels left out. Especially if LOTS of kids think they know the answer. Or you ask them who wants to...and they all put up their hands, but you can only pick one, and it's the shy ones who don't raise their hands but they might be the best ones to do whatever you are asking them to do.

The lining up for sports teams is also a stupid way to do it where the children get to pick who is on their team. Inevitibly, the smallest, youngest and weakest will not be picked or they'll be picked last and feel useless. You want to win, don't you?
I think it's better to assign teams completely randomly. Or go, one two, one two, all odd numbers go to one team evens to another. it's better to be inclusive, than exclusive. Then kids can figure out how best to work in a team that will have both strengths and weaknesses.
