  • Whangdoodles are a "catch and release." But WHERE is it safe to release them???

All I know is, if you shoot one it plays dead until you get close. Then it jumps up, starts jumping up and down, waving it's arms and then runs off laughing like daffy duck. Of course, that might not have been a Whangdoodle, it could have been a Farfrompoopin.

Good gravy.

I'm still reeling from learning about the existence of Whangdoodles...

I'm not sure I could handle an entire thread about Farfrompoopins! 😲

By the way... How do Farfrompoopins feel about cruise ships -- and giraffes??

Asking for a friend. 😎

Concerning Loompaland: "The whole place is nothing but thick jungles infested by the most dangerous beasts in the entire world. Hornswogglers, snozzwangers, and those terrible wicked Whangdoodles."
The Oompa Loompas "lived in tree houses to escape from the fierce creatures who lived below."

Hornswogglers and Snozzwangers??!!

Man, if I would have known about these creatures when I was a kid...

It would have taken name-calling with my siblings TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL (all in SELF-DEFENSE, I assure you!) 😇

At least Gizmo was friendly...

But Spike and Company?!

Not so much!

Oh look, here's one that must be related to @Tall_Timbers! 😎
I've never actually seen the movie. I never thought they were cute and I didn't care for their monster version. 😺 If u want to see a scary little monster, watch the 1975 Trilogy of Terror episode starring Karen Black that features a terrifying zuni doll. The episode was called Amelia. It's pretty well-known because it's so scary lol.

I've seen that movie. I've probably seen a disturbing amount of horror movies. I had to start going to the movies by myself (which I actually enjoy!). When the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake came out, I wanted to go see it. A friend at work told me she'd go with me. While we were watching it, she's got her hand up to her mouth and I'm trying not to fall asleep. Afterwards, she pointed at me with an angry look on her face, "I'm never going to the movies with you again!" And she didn't  This began my solo movie going days.

I have to admit, if I lived near you I'd try to be open-minded to various sorts of trouble-making (er, adventure,) but I'm not so sure about horror movies.

I wouldn't be willing to pay for a full-price ticket, but if it was like a streaming and chill out kind of thing, that I think I could do once in a while.

I just hope you don't mind having the blood squeezed out of your arms, because I am a big chicken and will be scared at everything!! (And yes, I would monopolize both of your arms for reassurance!) 😱

I mean, those arms have fought Whangdoodles, so I'm pretty sure I would be safe... right?! 🫣

This reminds me of a time when I was a teenager and I invited some of my friends over. I lived in the country.
In what I call the further backyard, I got a bonfire going and we set around the bonfire. I thought it'd be fun to tell them supposedly true ghost stories from the area. Unbeknownst to me, as I was telling one of the stories, Tabitha was clamping tightly onto Crystal's arm. After the story, Crystal told Tabitha, "You can let go of my arm now!" Poor Crystal's arm was red and dented looking. But, I couldn't be bothered about because I had to go shut up the chickens for the night. I asked them if they wanted to come with me. On the way to the chicken house I said, "Let's go in and have a look. It might be ghostly. My uncle died in there and I hear it was suspicious circumstances." That's a true story, btw! Anyway, Tabitha's eyes got wide and for some reason she wouldn't go in there with me 🤷‍♀️ 😅

I walked out of the Hunger Games, it was so boring. I made the excuse I had to go to the bathroom.
My friend was glued to the seat..
I also saw Twilight with her. When she wanted to see Assassins, I was like no.

I remember going to see Monsters Inc for a first movie date, which wasn't too scary.
But the entire time, my date was breathing heavily. I could hear him.

Oh I remember two other scary movies with a friend. Death Becomes Her (disturbing) and I know what you did last Summer. The summer movie, my friend was really scared, and she kept jumping with fright as the body count piled up.

Anyhoo. I do sort of remember seeing Charlie in the Chocolate Factory ( the remade second version) at the movies and being even more disturbed by the cloned Oompa Loompas, the creepy Willie Wonka played by Johnny Depp, and Verucca Salt who was NOT like the classic Verucca Salt in the original.

I do not remember seeing any Whangdoodles in this movie or the original.

I do remember Willie Wonka talking about schnozzberries and the children licking the wallpaper after their scratch and sniff.

I probably have powerful upperbody strength. I like working out in the outdoor workout areas at state parks (in the ATL area in particular) and I can do 200-300 reps on the machines where you sit down and pull your body up. Other people can keep their feet on the ground making it easier, but since I'm short I have to pull all of me up lol. There's 3 of those machines. I did 900 reps one day altogether.
💪 I'll protect you! lol

My favourite song -

I love this verse

I want to lock it
right up in my pocket
It's MY bar of chocolate!
Give it to me NOW!
