Stardew Valley is in Apple Arcade, so I can't play it for free. unlike some other platforms, I can't just cancel a trial and then start a new free one again. They know!

There are some free games I could play but they won't be on the level of HKIA. It would just be basic mobile games, like iDK flappy bird, or wordle.

Pusheen's Place is very cosy looking. Eating food and napping, seems to be the name of the game. Cutesy colours. But I already have my own cat, she's not like Pusheen though, she does other things aside from eating and napping.

Star Wars Old Republic is free to play.

Does it have Princess Leia. Or ewoks. Or yoda.

I'm not sure about the other characters, but those are the ones I liked/remember.
Lol.

This reminds me, in church this morning, there was a prayer over a set of grandparents in the congregation who had just welcomed a granddaughter named... Leia.

Of course, the first thing I wanted to ask is if the parents are Star Wars fans. 😂🌟

Well, I checked, and Star Wars Knights republic is $19.99 at the Apple store.
I'm not that keen on Star Wars franchise, unlike its many rabid fans who flock to every midnight showing.

I might just leave off video games for the time being. I do have a life you know! Plus, I need to read Paradise Lost.

How to do to play but they won't be on the level of HKIA?

HKIA is just my shorthand/acronym for Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

You can access it in Apple Arcade, they have it on Nintendo Switch, and on Steam for PC. I think it's on PS5 as well.

Pusheen's Place isn't in Steam. Is it on Android?

Edit: It's not. 😞

Just keeping this thread affloat!

I'm currently playing Gamer Stop Simulation. Here's my review of it:

September 30, 2026: I haven't opened the shop yet. I cleaned it up first and went to explore Koshima Island. It's pretty and bustling with life.

It has a lovely view of Mount Fuji from the beach park right across from your shop!

There are various places to play basketball shooting hoops and fishing. You don't even need a basketball or a fishing rod because they are provided for you right at those places. There are various stores that you can install an arcade machine for passive money. There's a bank to go for loans but it's just full of kiosks and not bank tellers.

There are glowing cardboard boxes all over town that will give you money and retro game cartridges you can use for your shop.

I even found a bicycle that I rode around town. I parked it at my apartment and saved and exited out of the game. But when I went back into the game, all stats were saved but the bike is back where I found it. Oh well! I did try to steal it technically, lol!

The game itself is working fine with my old gaming laptop. Not always smoothly but the glitches don't get in the way of my enjoying the exploration.

I like it so far. Other than Supermarket Simulator, this is the only other one that has an interactive town attached to it. I actually love it for that!

I'll update this review when I test the gameplay.

October 6, 2026: I just completed the first day of opening my shop. Bought a shelf and accidentally bought two more. No matter, I'll need those extra shelves when I buy more licenses for products. There was only one game to sell until I reach the required level to buy my first license.

Pricing the game was very easy. A window about the product pops up. It shows you what you paid for an individual game and what the market price is. I started at market price and adjusted it up 10% on top of that. I found that you can adjust the price higher but it will tell you in red parenthesis that that is a high price (which some customers will refuse to pay). You can also round up the price if you don't want to have to deal with making change in coins!

I got a closer look at the townspeople that were customers this day. The men looked fine, but oh my gosh! The women were frightening! They all looked like zombie prostitutes!

At the very least, they look liked drugged out prostitutes!

I'm going to have to make a request to the devs to please change the women graphics. This is a Japanese town and Japanese women should be better represented. No drugged out or possessed eyes! More modest but fashionable clothing!

So far, I haven't come across any bugs. Ordering the shelf and game went fine without problems. Opening the shop and working the register was good too! Credit card billing is super easy! No lags at anytime in the gameplay. I had fun and just had a really good time. I'm going back to play some more....

Oh! I got robbed! The doorway has a theft detection gate. I was so surprised, that I forgot that I have a baseball bat I can access when I press Tab! Oh well, NEXT time I'll remember to clobber the guy with my Louieville Slugger 3,000!

I'll keep updating this review as I build my gaming empire on Koshima Island!

I've played the game some more and the mechanics of game play is tight. None if it illogical or wonky. Since that review I've been able to expand my store to provide online orders and provide space for a repair are to fix consoles and game disks, but haven't repaired anything yet. That comes next.

There is an actual story as backdrop to the gameplay: you are Erwin who inherits his grandfather's game store in Japan and the apartment right over it. But as it turns out, your grandfather also passed on the mortgage to you. You owe the bank 1,000,000 yen in 28 days! But you run into an old friend of your grandfather who recommends you meet with Joe the Broker at the slots machine bar in town. You meet with him and he helps you with the payment. The catch? Find rare retro games for his clients who will pay a lot of money for them.

So far so good!

eek I wouldn't be sure those were actually customers or shop mannequins....

Right? I did post to the devs and ask them to change the graphics for the women to represent Japanese women better. I hope they consider it and make the changes sooner!

Other than that, the game is so much fun and the town is lovely to live and work in.

The internet's favorite cartoon cat? I OBJECT! Pusheen isn't even in the top five.

Number one is of course Gamer Cat. =^.^=

Any of y'all play Spiritfarer?
It's a cozy little game about letting go of loved ones and I love it. It's so peaceful and beautiful.
It is often only ~$2. I play it when I am feeling sad and it really helps a lot. It's quite a poignant and emotional little game.
Hand drawn too, I think.

I made a diorama in My Cozy Room:

The deck isn't an item in the game, so I had to make this one myself. I really like thinking "out of the box" so I can make something normally impossible, possible.

This one is from Nano Flat Owner where you buy and decorate rooms to rent out. The money you make lets you afford the next room to decorate and can rent out, and so on and so forth.

The real challenge though is that you can't recolor anything in this game, so you have to try to pull something together that's decent and color coordinated!
