Hey Everyone,
This thread is written in dedication to, and with the gracious permission of, our longtime friend, @tourist.
* Please tell us something about your day. It can be anything. What you had for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It could be a random thought you just wanted to share with someone. It could be about what you wore today and why. Maybe you'd like to share a Bible passage. Maybe you just have a random, silly thought. Maybe you have a prayer request, or someone you're praying/concerned about. Tell us about it, and maybe we can help.
Whatever you say may or may not connect with any other post here. It can be completely at random or you could be answering someone else's post here -- most anything is game.
* The only rule is that whatever is said, please let it be to brighten someone else's day -- even if it's just to let others know that other people are actually here. Post a joke, meme, picture, emoji -- whatever comes to mind to encourage someone else.
Many years ago, we had an infamous thread called "Streams of Consciousness and Thought." It was a thread of regular people sharing their every day life and thoughts, but that thread continued for many, many years. It made people feel like others were out there, living out life just as they were -- and for some people, it helped them feel a little less alone.
Our friend Tourist is going through an immensely hard time.
This is a chance for The Singles Forum to really put the pedal to the mettle; to show our strength in numbers; and an opportunity to show care and comfort for one of our very own.
Please help our dear brother Tourist by telling him a little bit about your day -- and please keep coming back to do so.
* The Bible tells us, "Carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." -- Galations 6:2
Something God has taught me is that He got me through the toughest times of my life -- day by day. But getting through each day always felt like the hardest part.
One thing that helped me, and something I believe Tourist enjoys as well, is reading what people are up to, no matter how mundane. It helps make it feel like life hasn't completely stopped, and reminds us that we are still part of something that keeps moving forward. Seeing other people in motion, even if it's just baby steps, helps a heavy heart from feeling too stagnant to move.
A glimpse into someone else's life gives you a much-needed rest from your own, if only for an instant (just enough to refresh and keep moving.)
Even if all you have to say is that you had a turkey sandwich, that's still something. Give us a mini-food review in the process. Did you make it yourself? If not, where did you get it?
The point isn't to say something devastatingly interesting -- the point is to get through your day, even if you feel discouraged -- and to use whatever you're doing to gently encourage others who are hurting through their day, too.
As a matter of fact, sometimes mundane posts can be the very best -- because they're normal, and people need to know that others are out living normal life -- not filtered social media highlights.
All are welcome to post -- single or married, it doesn't matter.
In fact, this might work out even better with all the more people who do post -- and hopefully, keep coming back, day after day, to say something to take the burden off others, no matter how seemingly ordinary.
Thank you, and may God bless you for helping to carry the burdens of others.

(The next post will tell more about Tourist's story -- thank you for your kind consideration.)
