What the author of this thread doesn't understand is that Christ died for all our sin, past, present and future as Heb ch 9 clearly explains, and in Heb 10 14 it states
For by one sacrifice he has made FOREVER PERFECT those who ar BEING MADE HOLY
THAT PROVES CHRIST DIED FOR ALL OUR SIN, FOR OTHERWISE WE COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE FOREVER PERFECT, WHILE WE ARE YET SINNERS(BEING MADE HOLY)
Now, he also doesn't understand the new covenant, because God did this for us(Christ paying the price of ALL OUR SIN), he then put by the Spirit his good and holy laws he would have us keep on our hearts and minds, in other words, we want to obey, but the battle is spirit against flesh. The battle is won(though it is a lifetimes process of ever more change) when we look to Christ and trust in him to change us by the sanctification of the Holy Spirit, something the author of this thread never mentions
Well if you don't mention the Spirit there's no sanctification, so you can look to the literal law as much as you want, it ain't gonna help you.
And the battle is what it always has been, look to Christ, trust in him and totally rely on the Holy Spiirit for yoUr sanctification FOR IF YOU ARE DOING THIS YOU ARE NOT AT THE SAME TIME SEEKING TO FULFILL THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH, none of this have I read from the authors writings, he just wants people to fix their eyes on the literal law. Oh I hope no one listens to him, so so many tell people how they must live, but don't seem to understand how it is to be achieved. We are under a new covenant but many in effect want the old one or a hybrid covenant but as Jesus said
No one after drinking the old wine wants the new, for he says the old is better
