Heaven Falls Hard - The Promise

Sweet, sweet violence
Poured upon my soul
A taste of paradise ( if truth be told)
For truths unknown
For once they are known
Can never be remembered
I hold your words,
I hold your forgiveness
I hold your promise of something a little bit more
I hold your words
I hold your forgiveness
I hold your promise of something a little bit more than my existence
So much lies beyond your recollection
My love and my redemption
This human obsession
And pages of your devotions to me
I hold your words,
I hold your forgiveness
I hold your promise of something a little bit more
I hold your words
I hold your forgiveness
I hold your promise of something a little bit more than my existence

Heaven Falls Hard - Resurrection

I bind to myself today
The power of heaven
The light of the sun
The brightness of the moon
The splendor of fire
The swiftness of the wind
The depth of the sea
These things I bind to me
I bind to myself today
Your power to guide me
Your might to uphold me
Your wisdom to teach me
Your eyes to watch over me
Your ear to hear me
Your words to give me speech
Your hand to guide me
Your way to lie before me
Your heart to shelter me
You hope to assure me
And your love to sustain me
I bind to myself today
The virtue of the love of seraphim
In the obedience of angels
In the hopes of resurrection
Unto reward

Hi; for some ppl it's expressed simply with dark clothes/boots; for others with black make up as well; for others with piercings as well. Depends on the person, really.

That was a great song Post. It's all how someone precieves it.

i'm glad you liked it. i've been singing (poorly) "i hold your words, i hold your forgiveness.. " all day today :)
that woman has quite a voice!
both of the songs are very meaningful to me, in a way that i think without being a Christian yourself, you can't really understand, no matter how beautiful the song is. i ♥ that about a lot of Christian songs; in a way they are like parables sometimes. with great meaning for believers but just weird or shallow for the world

Yes I totally agree with that. I tried playing some good Christian music music today with secular friends and they well didn't quit understand it. And how that music is cristian intel they heard the words

I think Christian Gothics are cool (though I'm not a Gothic myself). It's because of the whole "counter-culture" thing mixed with the "walking for God against the world" thing. You guys rock! Standing strong despite ridicule and all that. Gotta admire a gutsy person.

I've been listening to Goth music occasionally on Spotify. I don't mind the Industrial stuff too. I just listen to the 'stations'. :)

In terms of style of the Gothic subculture, it's not like there has never been spooky things in the 2000 years of Christendom like Monks who live in graveyards, and mausoleums full of thousands of skulls of the believers and martyrs.

why not to show Jesus's love that changed our lifes and healed that pain and suffering through the way we act and dress instead of showing the past suffering? just saying..
Philippians 3.10 speaks of 'the fellowship of His sufferings'.

Do you appreciate the Gothic aesthetic, though? I guess it can go either way with people.

I know a lot of Christian Goths. They are no different than anyone else.
I use to be called a "Goth" because of how I dressed. Growing up I hated pretty/bright colors. I was to "boyish" to like them lol.
Plus I was a skater, I liked BMX and I rode dirtbikes. So bright colors just wasn't my thing.
Now I get called a country girl. Ha it's funny how people try so hard to label others.
I know what you mean.
I was sort of tomboyish myself. I toned it down a little but people of course will have a problem with anything. -rolls eyes-

Well, it's often the color versus black preference in clothes, mascara, tattoos, etc.

I'm used to wearing black so it doesn't really matter to me. I don't care what I'm really labeled as. People would say anything about it but really it's one of the least things I've worried about.

Black can be quietly elegant, without drawing attention. Sounds good if you're comfortable with it.
