Nah. Pseudo is outright fake. Nominal actually thinks he's a Christian until it becomes unpopular and he changes his mind.
Nominal means “in name only” (so not truly genuine) and ‘pseudo’ is fake so they’re kind of like synonyms.

Perhaps we should simply set aside any childish notions of requiring civility as a pretence of bearing false witness. It's not rocket science. Grown up.

I thought you meant nominal as in all systems nominal. That's what they say about the space shuttle boosters. But then I don't see this rocket making it to space anytime soon, so...

At any given time there are ~50-60 actively logged in members here and it's normally the same crowd. This site is kept afloat by these same people who keep it down.
:)

yes and no

:)

you realize you have been here 23 months and you average 161.9 posts a month right?
Thats over 5 posts a day....... (just saying)

Now, you have a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG wat to go to catch me....... :)

People see rude through their own set of standards........what is rude to one is corrective criticism to another......rude is relative.

I find rudness to be the unwillingness of people to offer their thoughts/beliefs while demanding others reveal theirs........... that is RUDE to the 'nth degree IMO

:)

As well, sometimes we get trolls come to visit, and I ASSURE YOU, I go well out of my way to be RUDE to them because they are a danger to the Site and the Members here. Servants of the deceiver are always a danger............

You are part of the problem.
I believe you are the problem. Your determination to demand from others what you will not provide yourself is RUDE!

(oh, plueazzze put me on IGNORE, that will allow me to not have to worry about your nonsensical commentary)

The first thing to remember is We Are All Sinners. Second thing is that people in general expect more out of Christians than heathens but really Chiristians are just heathens that have accepted a Savior and can be known to act as heathens now and then.

So you have your high expectation people who may or may not be heathens expecting more out of heathens that have accepted a Savior but are known to act like heathens...

Did that clear up anything for ya or was it as clear as mud?

Sometimes I wonder who the person really is behind the avatar and cold type... I can’t help but think that some of these people have personality disorders and sometimes there are what are known as trolls...
I try to avoid controversial folks as much as possible; it doesn’t do my nerves any good engaging with people who seem to be looking for an argument.
God bless 🙂🦋

I will say that in reality when I first joined this site I was thinking Yay I found people to sing kum-ba-ya with but I was attacked out of the gate and called a Judaizer which at the time didn't even know what it meant.

I talked to God about it and said to Him... These Christians play mean... and considered leaving the site, but God let me know I should stick around and share my opinions because there are those people who are seeking truth and not all Christians play mean. So I stayed and I'm glad I did as I ended up meeting my husband Tourist on this site and made several really nice friends, some that I have met and had meals with and shared good times.

Moral of the story is stick around share your opinions and let the rude fall where it may as we are all sinners in need of a Savior....

Yeah I've been wearing out the ignore button lol
Actually... I'm still not sure why you would announce this.

If you are putting everybody you disagree with on ignore... And I'm pretty sure I'm on that list... Then you're telling me I can say ANYTHING I WANT about you and you won't be able to see it! :D :D :D w00t!

Of course I wouldn't say anything about you that conflicts with my Christian ethics. But it's very liberating to know I could, and you would never know it. Bwahaha!

(Everybody else, don't tell him.)

Not to amp me up or anything, but when I first joined, many women on here were just straight-up nasty to me. I was told later on by a good friend that they were jealous and thought I was flirting with all the men (although I treated the women the same way I treated the men). Two men became good friends of mine, and they told me everything and they'd always shut it down.

A few women came to me and apologized, but the majority did not.

Insecurity was their problem *shrugs*.

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience <3

Yeah totally agree. I’m not trying to compete so I guess the crown goes to you. People are looking for the trolls that show up suddenly and don’t last long, but I’m afraid we have something much more advanced than that here.

There’s a persistent threat of professional of troublemakers who dream up and devise ever new ways of making mischief.

I don't get it. We're supposed to be Christians. But I see so much hate and negativity and sarcasm and criticism. What gives?
You are a good poster bro and truly enjoy reading what you have to say. Really enjoy your topics in singles cause you have a skill I don't. I am not good at making topics but flows easy for you. So just shake it off if ya think folks are being rude.

I know for me and me only when I find myself thinking someone is rude to me. I find my flesh says who do they think they are talking to and how dare they. Then that voice in my head says, Those who love his law he keeps in perfect peace. Then remined that iron sharpens iron. So then I just say yeah ya got a point Lord I still think highly of myself and can use a reminder you still have to burn away some brush in my life cause I needed a reminder that I lack humility more than I care to admit.

Yeah, it was something like that. Stupid is what stupid does. Or something like that.
Hmmm, or to paraphrase if I may, 'Christian is as Christian does!' 🙂

Well my longstanding theory goes something like: those Christians who are healthy and solid enough to get along in community with people in the real world generally prefer real world interactions and do most of their interacting there. Those who aren't come around online communities and complain about how horrible all the churches and Christians are for rejecting them and usually come across as believing that they believe themselves to be the only one to have discovered "true" Christianity and anyone who disagrees with them isn't really a Christian.

But you gotta remember that many of the people who are most active in such an online Christian forum are the ones who couldn't get along well in church with other real life people.
Not sure many of us would agree with your assumption. Seems a bit judgemental, and rude to me.
But sometimes we humans can become passionate about our beliefs, see things in black and white, and struggle with understanding other's points of view.

I try to keep my Christian faith simple, and usually only get involved with issues that are concerned about the now, not what may or may not happen in the future.
