Your post asked if we should calm down our gender specific personalities. I think I replied as to why this is not, at all, a good choice. Perhaps
Not what I said. I used the word “healthy division”. You raised a straw man and then started arguing with it. I’m sure this is intellectually more of a pleasant experience than debating what other people actually say.

I raised no straw man. That is your suspect conclusion.

It's a heap lot easier too! (y)

The argument forums must be going too slow for him this month. So he comes to our forum and tries to drum up an argument anyway he can.

Make sense that I would sit silent while someone proposes a complete upheaval of the order of the home which God created.
I can understand why it's shocking to some that anyone would say MSNBC has bad ideas.

Yeah, well... It sure LOOKED like a D-word character. :p
What? Wait…what? I’m THE CC Disney character? Like Daisy…whatever??? Lol
I see a resemblance to the Little Mermaid.

I used to live an hour from Walt Disney World and have been to all their theme parks and water parks more times that I can remember.. Took my daughter many times. I was a Walt Disney World dad. Although a bit pricey, we both loved the place.

I guess that now they went 'woke' and Mickey wants to be changed into Minnie. If Minnie wants to be changed too into Mickey, there would be no harm done as they would balance each other out.

Lived an hour from Universal Studios too which is close by Disney. Another fun place. Not sure if they went 'woke' either or all in for the gays.

I believe that Sea World is still a family safe venue. We only went there once but it was a worthwhile adventure. Shamu was awesome.

That part about the Mickey and Minnie sex change? The good news is nothing has to change at all for that to happen.
They stay dressed the same and the change is in implication only. 😆
Besides that, picturing two smiling giant black clothed rodents with boobs and bits under the costumes is a bit much.

Yeah, who is to say that there is a guy under that Mickey costume? Or a female under the Minnie costume?

Hey buddy, YOU are the one who went there. You started blasting her for an avatar you ASSUMED was a Disney character.

You started it! You started it! I'm telling Mommy on you! :p :p :p

Your reading is your reading. My ellipsis may not be clear to all readers. And the point is the same to the argument she laid at my feet, irrelevant if she is a participant.
Be careful asking about your mother around me. Especially if she's not alive.

If it's any consolation, I wanted to reassure you that this is not a site that pushes or condones liberal agendas. However, I do tend to write threads about very controversial subjects. We are all called to different ministries -- for several years, I was writing to and visiting prison inmates, some with LWOP (life without parole,) about God and faith, so I tend to think about things from very different points of view.

If you ever feel my posts or threads are a threat to conservative Christian beliefs, feel free to report them. The mods are very aware of my threads and I always invite anyone who thinks my posts are out of line to go to them with their concerns, and I trust them to make the best decisions for the community. I say this not as some kind of clout but rather, background information -- I came here in 2009 and have written, I would guess, about 1,000 threads. A mod mentioned years ago that I was up to about 400 but that was quite a while ago so I'm just making a rough estimate -- and of course, they are free to correct me if I'm way off.

My only point in saying this is that the long-time people on the site know who I am and what I stand for and why I bring up these topics -- and it's not to usurp the Godly order of the household, but to get people talking about they see happening around them and what we as Christians can do about it.

I write my threads with a particular audience in mind -- those who have a goal of listening to and discussing topics, sometimes uncomfortable ones, with others. As I said in another post, there are generally two types of posters who answer these threads -- those who are in for the long haul of an in-depth discussion who are reading along as the posts are dropped, and those who might not have the time to read posts, or who drop by in order to be heard by others rather than to listen (which is why they only read the title and not the opening post before answering) -- and that's perfectly fine.

Both types of posters are welcome and both keep the site going.

As for me, I generally specifically design the threads for those who are in for the journey, as those are the ones who, in some cases, I've been blessed enough to make connections with and sometimes even meet in person.

It just occurred to me though that newcomers who see these kinds of titles might not understand because they are unfamiliar with the context and background (my threads are also often continuations of discussions going on in other threads), and might be think they have joined a site that is somehow endorsing some kind of rebellion against traditional Biblical values.

I can assure you this is not the case. And again, if you feel, after reading through the posts and discussions, that what I've presented is out of line, I encourage you to drop a line to the mods at any time.

No one is exempt here and even some long-time members have faced consequences for going too far.

If I am one of them, I am fully prepared to accept whatever the administration would decide to do in response to complaints about myself or my posts.

Why would I complain about a bad post when I can set it on fire?

Tourist is a long-time member here and he will have to correct me if I'm getting this wrong.

His signature is about M&M's candies, so the rainbow is in reference to that. He told us from the start that he is not tech-savvy (which many of us can sympathize with,) and that he barely figured out how to put up an avatar and a signature.

When he started on CC, he was single and has been through a lot in his life. He met a wonderful woman here (another regular on the site, I'm sure you'll meet her,) and I believe they have been married 8 years now?

And I apologize to both him and his lovely wife if I am speaking out of turn.
