I remember looking at a video explaining the Trinity.. and I liked the analogy of it being like us as 2d beings.. looking at a 3d being. We don't have the full understanding or view to be able to completely grasp it.

I have the idea of when we get to heaven, we won't see 3 persons.. but the one being God. Not the Father, Son and Holy Spirit seperate. But I don't really want to get into the Trinity in this thread. It has been thrashed about already.

The same essence. The one being ..God .. in the three persons. Although God isn't just an essence.

Yes these are some of the verses showing how Jesus in his humanity was in a different position to the Father and then ascended to be one with the Father, thanks .

Yes ... see above post... the Father is greater is a reference to the Father being in a greater position in heaven. This changed not long after when Jesus ascended

Another common thing people say.. is when Jesus does things and does it by the authority of the Father.. they go to the conclusion Jesus is lesser. The thing with this though, is Jesus at times in the bible does things that are equal to the Father's ability. Such as being able to see Phillip...

Yea... I agree. If you lower Jesus to another lesser diety (if you are still worshipping Him), then you are faced with being a Polytheist. As soon as they see that Jesus can give eternal life, it should prompt them to think He is fully God imo

Yes this is the same thing I've been noticing, although more with supposed believers still lowering Christ's diety. It's subtle.. they would say Son of God, but not God. I don't post in other areas much at all so haven't noticed it going on in the other areas you mentioned. I can imagine it...

Oh it's just an impression. But I have heard from other people in other forums that Unitarianism is getting more popular and here at this site I have seen a number of messianic Jews who call Jesus the Messiah but put the Father above Him as a superior being

The main verse people often bring up, is 'the Father is greater than I' from Jesus. But this verse does not stand alone. Not long after saying this... Jesus ascends to be one with the Father. So the difference had nothing to do with one being inferior to the other, but positional difference...

A very pernicious and damaging doctrine gaining popularity at the moment is saying Jesus is lesser than the Father. This attacks the heart of salvation through Jesus Christ as God and Saviour. Your thoughts? (I know this has been addressed before but I thought the need to highlight it again)

Right, so that isnt the only scripture showing this. Matthew 16:18 Jesus will build His church. Mathew 18:17... this is a church that can be spoken to and has a process for discipline of wayward believers (18:18-20) It is the same kind of church. Jesus wouldn't introduce the church one way...
