    A Divided Church?

What is the body of Christ? All redeemed or speaking of the local church body? The bible doesn't call it both these things. The body of Christ IS the church. So what did we mean when we call the body of Christ all redeemed? Are we talking of the future heavenly Jerusalem? Because yea...

    Sinning against the holy spirit

Blaspheming.. this was done by those rejecting who Jesus is completely by attributing what He does to the devil. Its rejecting salvation to begin with. It's not something a saved person does.

    The hardest question of all.

Following the theory Jesus did not resurrect but some how survived the cross... Jesus definitely died on the cross, he was in enough of a state from being brutalized before the cross. If, even though the odds are impossible, he survived the cross.. the burial clothes he was wrapped in would...

    The Holy Spirit's different roles

Let's talk about how the Holy Spirit has different roles in dealing with individual believers and groups in churches. What happens when someone believes in Jesus? They receive the Holy Spirit in their soul. John_6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth...

    It's not an insult...

Hold up...'the Holy Spirit not yet being given' ... Is this a reference to the way of salvation or the Holy Spirit's new work in His churches? David believed in a Redeemer.. so did Job. Others in the Old Testament make references to types and shadows of Christ, before He was in the flesh...

    Who Has Never Doubted?

How do you mean the sinners prayer doesn't save? I see this posted a lot and dont really get it. I see the sinners prayer as the same as Romans 10:9-10 Its clear in that chapter.. it is how someone is saved eternally. I know just saying a pre set bunch of words ain't eternal salvation...

    Who Has Never Doubted?

Without doubt, questioning, strivings where is the test of faith? Real faith is in the answers to questions of faith and battles to overcome. 😀 Faith is not blind but tested and refined

    Lordship salvation vs. "easy believism"

Yeah.. lordship salvation has effort/works on behalf of the believer to be saved whereas the bible teaches receiving Christ by grace thru faith in Jesus without having to make turning from sin the means of salvation. Their will be fruit from being saved though. That's the natural result of...

Have i committed the what is described in Hebrews 10:26 please any help would be appreciated

No longer a sacrifice..cant put Christ in the cross again to pay for sins again.. it's done and dusted. Also it could mean animal sacrifice.. so you cant sacrifice bulls and goats etc.. after being saved to please God

How did God die for our sins, if God cannot die?

It is interesting how Jesus died but He descended to the lower parts of the earth and set captives free. Dead in the the flesh only. Not death of His deity.

Is adultery send you to hell

Adam and Eve's case is a bit different to the believer today. The believer now is never perfect while in the flesh. Adam and Eve were in the flesh perfect for a time till disobedience. But also God cast them from the garden, they became sinful , but did He remove their place in heaven?

Is adultery send you to hell

This is so often the reply to saying Jesus won't leave a believer who is in adultery or theft etc, that they have a 'license to sin' or as jackson123 says that believers can get away with more than a non believer for sin. The thing is .. a believer has the Holy Spirit dwelling in their spirit...

Is adultery send you to hell

No he won't leave. The verses I think are about rewards rather than being sent to hell. Compare these verses with John 3:16, 5:24, 3:36 Or it would be of people who never believed to begin with.

Is adultery send you to hell

Born again by Jesus first. After this we can inherit more rewards by faithfulness to Jesus. If we aren't faithful.. we get discipline and rebuke, but not loss of unconditional love from Jesus. He stays with us.

How old is our creation really?

I've struggled with this a lot. The difference is so massive between millions and millions of years and 6 to 10 thousand years. I am convinced though that the bible doesn't really have any fit with millions of years. The only way it could think is if the millions of years was pre the days of...

    Israel

I know what you mean. The invisible, universal church of all redeemed is the predominant view.. with the local visible church within that. What I have learned though-- is that all redeemed should be called part of the Family of God.. because a church is something that is visible and assembles...

Giving over our sense making ?

Yes, if people can learn how to take the bible in context and let it speak for itself, then it's clearer what God is teaching. Seminary, teachers, pastors etc.. can give you guidelines about how to read it in context. It takes a lot of discernment though to know what is false or not. There...

    Israel

Well, I am not a dispensationalist. Israel also isn't Jesus' church, but if church is the definition of a called out assembly/congregation.. and in the Old Testament Israel were defined as a church in the wilderness.. then I think it's safe to call them in the old testament as a church. Not...

    Israel

    Today’s church’s misunderstandings

In the Old Testament, there is service to God through sacrificing animals with keeping the Mosaic laws plus levitical laws. In the New Testament, with the New Covenant there is service to God through God's local churches, in serving others through them.
